[P/M] Goku Lightning mission thread

Her hair was dark and her body toned, was what was going through Hanabi's mind. It didn't come off awkward at all that she was just staring at this girl as she spoke about whatever it was that she was speaking about. When the girl finally stopped and turned to Hanabi, she came out of a daze.

"What's happening?" She thought then realized that she was supposed to be talking about being a shinobi or something.

"Well, I agree with everything this girl, Hikaru, has said so far." She said this even though she really had no idea what she had been talking about. Either way, she continued, "something I would like to add is that you have to be mindful not to fall down the wrong path. There are different types of shinobi of pretty much every alignment. However to be successful, I would say to stray away from chaotic evil and lawful good actions."

She paused for a few seconds to think a bit more then continued, "every other alignment will have a path towards happiness and success, but those particular combinations are bad because in the first case you would be chaotic which is okay since shinobi have to bend the rules anyways. However being evil and chaotic will make you the kind of person that gets killed in their sleep by a teammate.

Likewise, if you are a lawful good shinobi, then you will also be killed by the enemies you refuse to kill. I'm not saying that you cannot be good shinobi if you have these alignments, but there are many risks with doing so… I guess that's all I can think of for now. Do you want to elaborate Hikaru?"

The teen thought she had done a pretty good job with coming up with something out of the blue. In truth she hadn't prepared any speech or anything. Hopefully they could each say another thing or two and be done with this boring mission.

Hanabi showed up at what she thought was on time, but found that there was nobody at the meeting point. At first she started to become filled with rage at the lack of a timely partner, then calmed down a bit. Perhaps Hikaru had already started on the mission. Hell, the overachiever might have already captured the damned cat that she had had to catch at least three times in the past month. From this, the female could openly admit that this mission would be a bore indeed.

With a sigh, she took off into the woods where she heard a loud snapping sound. It sounded like some kind of large tree branch had snapped and if there was something every leaf shinobi knew, it was that this cat loved to climb on branches that couldn't support its weight.

Upon arrival, Hanabi saw Hikaru looking up a tree of epic proportions. The cat was nowhere to be seen however, so the former started to get mad again.

"You brought me all the way out here for no reason? How dare you!"

At that, Hanabi threw a fist forwards, trying to punch her teammate in the face. She had every intent to harm her on the outside, but her real reason for doing so was hidden. What she really wanted to know was whether this Uchiha had activated her Sharingan yet. Personally, Hanabi hadn't, and now that she thought about it, hitting someone didn't really prove it either way. Oh well.

After that whole ordeal, Hanabi would start walking up the tree assuming the cat had been spotted. Last time she had let the cat hurt itself from falling, she hadn't gotten paid for a day's worth of work. They would need to be careful in proceeding with their mission this time.

The pain of falling courses through her entire body, but luckily there would be no permanent injuries. She knew how to land since tumbling was a part of being a shinobi and a taijutsu user. When she finally got up, she saw that Hikaru had already ran after the cat and to the right. It was a nice idea of how to catch the cat, but she hadn't taken into account that Hanabi was a lot faster than herself. The flank would not work without gauging each others speed. No, it would come down to Hanabi to finish up the mission.

The Uchiha ran off at top speed despite her injuries and whisked past the trees before rounding a corner and seeing the cat headed right in her direction, the cat got scared and ran back towards the right. Hanabi looked up and saw that Hikaru was there and she would probably aid her in making the catch. Even so, hanabi felt as though it was her time to shine. She simply continued blasting past the various trees, demonstrating her acrobatics and soon Hikaru would be left pretty far behind, what was really amazing was that the cat was able to outrun them.

Within the next hour or so, the cat had been captured and was napping as though nothing of significance had happened. Well, at least it was over now.

"Nice job. I think we make a good team despite how much we fail at doing this stuff. As always just let me know if you have another mission in mind."

At that, Hanabi would head towards the mission place to get her pay. Along the way her mind kept turning back towards her teammate, who she couldn't help think was forming a bond with her. But did she want a bond?

The pair had been traveling through the trees on the way to the next waypoint for about a good hour. It was exhilarating, knowing that if you made one wrong step or movement, then you might fall to the ground where you would probably get mauled by some wild beast. It was even more exhilarating knowing that these were the kinds of missions that you got to engage in combat, which is exactly what Hanabi loved. Because of her excitement, she mistook several sounds and movements down below as intruders and would occasionally drop down and try kicking a brush only to find a few animals scurrying away.

After another hour of no luck, Hikaru spotted some movement down below that seemed legitimate. "finally some action," Hanabi muttered under her breath as she approached and looked down. Yes, there were two people and by Hikaru's reasoning, it made sense that they were up to no good. This was proven by the fact that when Hikaru gave her warning and commands, the two individuals looked around cautiously, drew their knives, and jumped behind adjacent trees. Oh yes, it was go time.

"Well, in a way, I'm glad it came to this," Hanabi said jokingly to her teammate at she jumped down to the ground. It was time to bring on the hurt.

"We won't ask nicely again. Give up and explain your intentions!"

After speaking, Hanabi dashed behind the nearest tree and aimed a roundhouse kick at the man's head. The blow missed as the man ducked just in time and swung his knife ferociously at the woman's extended leg. It was obvious now that these weren't just people that happened to pass by. These were trained fighters! Although they definitely weren't shinobi and if they were, they weren't any more skilled than the two Uchiha.

This kid had a lot to learn, and the man planned on instructing it to her. By the time her Hanabi had begun to release the lightning ball in her hand, this intruder was already gathering chakra. As Hanabi came in for the punch, the man disappeared from view in a blur of color. He had obviously used some kind of substitution jutsu, and spot with attacking from an angle. As Hanabi’s strike came in, it smacked into the man’s knife with a deep, resounding thonk, which sent it jumping towards the man who was standing five feet back from where he had been earlier. She caught it with expert skill, then sheathed it.

Finally, the strike came in, but the man was too far away to even feel the wind formed by the force. The man smiled, and thought about her opponent. He had completed very well for a shinobi but she still had a ways to go. She had driven the man to use chakra in order to move.

Of course, the man had chosen to use chakra. He probably could have just absorbed or moved the attacks, but had decided to take the easy way out. As she thought about her attack, she decided she would keep this a completely Tai battle. As soon as she had her idea, the man rushed forward, straight for Hanabi, but at the last second, while he was right in front of Hanabi, he dove to the left and made a strike for Hanabi’s side.

At about this point in time, their moving battle would bring the Uchiha and the bandit of sorts right next to where Hikaru and her bandit were fighting. Maybe they could coordinate their efforts or something. It sure would make things easier for the both of them if they could remove at least one of these guys from the fight.

Like her teammate, Hanabi would feel the need to acquire a certain burst of energy to finish off her bandit. Her vision was blurry already so it wasn't like activating her Sharingan would be all that helpful. Even so, she desired improvement and that's what she hoped to get.

As Hikaru came to assist in the fray, Hanabi likewise felt a burst of energy that helped them defeat the remaining bandit. After knocking him out, Hanabi would tie up his hands with his own clothes and drag him to the next outpost. The mission was over hopefully. As long as they didn't run into anybody else they would be fine!
