The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
Predating both Shinobi and Samurai, the Youmou were once well respected shaman who employed their family's spirits to battle malevolent spirits who plagued the land. However, as time passed and the menace of malevolent spirits seemed to subside so too did the Youmou's fame. People grew wary of their power, even going so far as to scorn them for their differences. The majority of Youmou abandoned their talents in other pursuits, their bloodlines and knowledge becoming muddled with every subsequent non-practicing generation. Other Youmou found sanctuary in among the great shinobi villages, forming enclaves and proper clans within and continuing to use their talents to combat spirits and ninja alike.
1. The Youmou clan is a Ninjutsu Master only clan.
2. This clan requires Admin permission.
3. Youmou is a special clan that promotes intelligent battle and roleplay. Most of the techniques are dynamic as a opposed to static, that is they leave a certain amount of choice to the player as to how exactly to use the techniques. Those seeking to use this clan effectively have been warned.
Tier One - Elemental Influence: Once a Youmou has achieved a certain level of mastery their spirits become more than mere things to command, grasping on to their master's spiritual nature they become imbued with it - allowing them various effects based upon the nature. The simplest example would be the nature of Fire, their spirit lit ablaze and causing additional harm based upon this. Forcibly, the Youmou may also choose to sever this deeper connection, leaving their spirits mundane. However, the choice can only occur once every other turn, so they must choose wisely.
Tier Two – Master's Orders: Having become a learned practitioner of summoning one's spirit(s) a Youmou can now force the spirit to undergo rectification upon summoning, giving it more substance. In result, the user can recast the same jutsu again without the need of handseals. It should be noted that this means that you can continually use Command Attack without the need of using handseals again, but you cannot use Command Defense after a Command Attack without handseal usage.
Tier Three – Spiritual Reconvergence: The final level of mastery which allows the Youmou to completely dominate their spirit. Having attained this level of mastery allows one to recover the chakra lost by using Command Attack, Command Defense, and Command Assault assuming it did not hit the individual in question (or wasn't hit). In the case of Command Assault, the cost of the spirit jutsu is refunded but not the cost of the additional jutsu.
Chuumonwo Kougekishimasu (Command, Attack) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 2 Chakra Consumption: Minuscule
By channeling their Chakra into the great beyond the user can force their spiritual servant to manifest briefly for a single attack. This attack is both potent and weak, an invisible tether of one meter connecting the spirit and user. No part of the body of the spirit may cross this boundary, and should it that body part will simply dissipate. One should note that in this case any weapons the spirit may manifest with are considered part of it's 'body'. Also although the casting of handseals takes time the manifestation of the spirit is instant thereafter, allowing it to react immediately - it's travel speed limited by the speed of it's own master. It is summoned directly in front of it's master.
Chuumonboei (Command, Defense) Rank: C Range: Close (0m ~ 5m) Type: Defensive Handseals: 2 Chakra Consumption: Minuscule
By channeling their Chakra into the great beyond the user can force their spiritual servant to manifest briefly to defend against a single attack. This defense - though only limited by one's imagination, is weak and subject to restrict. Mundane attacks like that of a sword, senbon, or kunai (assuming no special properties) are easily deflected by this, but chakra manifestations aren't. That is, jutsu of a higher rank will instantly blow through this defense. Additionally, if the Youmou had summoned their spirit with an elemental nature opposite of that of the incoming attack even attacks of the same caliber will break it. Finally, this defense is limited to the direction the user is facing, with the same range limit as Chuumonwo Kougekishimasu.
Chuumonwo Gisei Ni (Command, Sacrifice) Rank: B Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m) Type: Offensive Handseals: 5 Chakra Consumption: Mid
Often used as a last resort this technique forces a spirit forward in a mad dash toward an enemy or predetermined spot. Once the spirit reaches it's destination it will immediately detonate, causing a small explosion of force. This explosion is enough to kill someone with the assumption they were at the epicenter but quickly dissipates further from it one gets, completely dissipating at ten meters. If an elemental nature had been attached to the spirit the effects of such nature occur as well (setting things on fire, blowing wind about, etc). The spirit's tether will sever beyond five meters and it travels at it's master's own speed.
Kougekino Junjo (Command, Assault) Rank: B Range: Close(0m ~ 5m) Type: Offensive, Supplementary Handseals: 4 Chakra Consumption: Low
Functionally an extension of Chuumonwo Kougekishimasu, this technique strengthens the link between the spirit and caster, allowing the spirit to act as a conduit for one Ninjutsu attack. However, there are limits to this. Only techniques which can functionally be cast through the spirit may be used. In other words, you cannot use a technique from which in it's description does not read as if it's emanating from the user (or in this case spirit). Additionally, the spirit's nature must be preserved. If the spirit has taken on the nature of fire, it cannot use water techniques (but can use universals and other such techniques) and so on.
It goes without saying that the cost of this jutsu is added upon the other technique. The handseals of this jutsu are also added upon the other technique unless one is using "Master's Orders" in which case only the handseals of the other jutsu are required.
Watashi Issho Ni Chuumonsutando (Command, Stand With Me) Rank: A Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Supplementary Handseals: 7 Chakra Consumption: High, Mid (Sustain)
This technique allows the Youmou's spirit to temporarily (as long as sustain is kept up) move around freely at any range within sight. During this time-frame the spirit can attack and defend freely without the need of using Command Attack or Command Defense, it's attacks equating to that of the a B-Rank with the same limitations as Command Attack and Command Defense (in terms of natures). For any sort of descision revolving around stats or traits, the spirit's stats are functionally equivalent to the Youmou which summoned it.
Tsu no Tamashiwo Chuumonshimasu (Command, One Soul) Rank: S Range: Close (0m ~ 5m), Mid (5m ~ 10m), Far (10m+) Type: Offensive, Defense, Supplementary Handseals: 10 Chakra Consumption: High, High (Sustain)
The purchase of this technique forces the user to submit a series of five custom techniques (which are never subject to the customs board being closed). These five techniques are completely custom to the specific Youmou and must be bought just as any other techniques. This technique lasts either five turns or until the sustain cost is not maintained. Of the five techniques, only one may apply some sort of supplementary benefit, the rest must either be offensive or defensive in nature. They are still subject to the rules and regulations of customs.
The Youmou may change form completely (even into something animalistic), but cannot exceed four times their own dimensions (height, weight, etc). Properties of the Youmou may also change, but not mix, needing to stay thematic. (e.g. A giant flaming samurai would not suddenly summon a wave of water). One primary weapon can be willed into existence in this way as an extension of this spiritual state, but is only considered 'A'-Rank for the considerations of durability, sharpness, etc.
