Bõjutsu - "A decent stick is all you need to become a legend"
Bõjutsu (literally "Staff Techniques) is one of the oldest and most respected fighting styles in the Narutoverse, mentioned in some of the first pieces of written history. In a time where bandits and shinobi clans ran rampage, and decent weaponry was often expensive or illegal, the common folk sought ways of defending themselves with whatever was easy to come by. A set of techniques was developed to turn farming tools into viable weaponry against possible invaders: Bõjutsu was born.
Bõjutsu has long been unpopular among shinobi, and to this day it is still mainly being practiced by non-shinobi on the countryside as a form of self defense. Trading the steel blade for a blunt, wooden bõ may seem like an unattractive option to the majority of the shinobi, but the speed, technique and reach of a proper Bõjutsu master is a force to be reckoned with. The bõ has a versatility unlike that of any blade, which opens up a world of dodges, blocks, disarms and counters. While lacking the cutting edge of the infamous katana, a true Bõjutsu master will know exactly how to outplay his opponent and strike where it hurts.

Restrictions
- Bõjutsu techniques can only be performed with a wooden bõ. Stone/metal staves and polearms are too heavy or unbalanced to handle. A wooden bõ with one or two ends sharpened to form a spear is allowed. So are small ornaments on the bõ.
- Bõjutsu can be learned by any type. However, only Taijutsu Masters can learn techniques above B-rank.
Mastery
Tier 1 - Efficient Bõ Handling: A tier 1 Bõjutsu master has reached a level of skill where the bõ feels like an extention of the body and fighting without it seems to be horribly inefficient. While using Bõjutsu, the master gains 1 rank in both the strength and speed stat.
Tier 2 - Brutal Bõ Striking: A tier 2 Bõjutsu master has honed his skills with the bõ to the point where his techniques seem to easily outclass those of everyone else. Every Bõjutsu technique used by a practitioner of this level gains 1 rank in power.
Tier 3 - Bõ Barrier Breaking: Only a very select group of Bõjutsu practitioners in history has ever reached the point of mastery where they have become capable of channeling and magnifying every ounce of strength in their body into the blows made with their bõ. To them, every barrier, block or armor encountered feels as if it were 1 rank lower in power. Despite this, the actual destructive power of their attacks remains the same.
