Mission info: A massive racoon is roaming the countryside. Find it and kill it. Or tame it - the choice is yours!

Called to duty for the umpteenth time, Chae headed outside of Kirigakure itself after having taken his leave from his daily missions compound visit. Since the mysterious and abrupt hiatus with both Taiga and Suzumi occurred, things around Kirigakure and even the country itself -to Chae- grew increasingly tedious and mundane. Nevertheless, missions and assignments needed to be done, with or without a team.

Truth be told, with his new found strength and abilities, he gradually began to feel as though he hadn't needed a team to back him up considering they wouldn't have even been able to keep up with him to perform proper teamwork. With that theory fresh on his mind, Chae made his way towards and eventually out of Kirigakure's gates, heading into the country itself.

Heading down the most apparent path that connected to the village, a sleight of hand allowed Chae to unravel the rolled up scroll and read the contents within. Much to his surprise, the mission, by design (and words) looked to be one of the more simple missions, however, Chae realized when actually applying the work, it'd been far from easy. Judging from the information within the scroll, he had been expected to pick up the trail of a giant raccoon, track it, find it, and finally eliminate it by any means necessary.

"Tracking a giant raccoon? They can't be serious, the solo missions that they throw at us are borderline crazy. Just how big is a giant raccoon."

Huffing a sigh as he repeatedly reviewed his objective(s) for the mission at hand, he continued walking down Mizu no Kuni's main path for about 2 miles before he began to pickup minuscule details regarding the trail of the giant raccoon. Having gone quite deep into the country side, the pungent smell of feces suddenly drilled Chae's nostrils, causing the hairs within his nose to curl and retract. Instinctively, the entirety of his forearm raised to cover his nose, alleviating -for the most part- the smell. For a moment he coughed in tandem with knowing if he truly needed to track that raccoon, he needed to follow the scent closely.

"Ah dammint, it always seems like I get the short end of the stick. "

Displaying his frustration, Chae followed the scent that eventually led him into the mist-filled forestry of Mizu no kuni. The futher he seemed to travel, the stronger the scent because, enough so that at one point, his forearm that shielded his nose turned out to be utterly ineffective. Before long, the scent guided him towards and up a steep hill where the scent abruptly ceased to exist once he managed to reach the top. Looking around carefully, he made his way to the hill's opposite side as it formed yet another declivity, one that Chae needed to get through if he wished to enter the cave that laid at its base.

"Look's like I've hit the jack pot today, after following that scent, that cave has to be to that bastard's home."

Without any time to waste, Chae immediately headed down the hill at with a speedy gait, reaching the base in a matter of seconds with only his natural speed. Scratching his head as he walked and stood just before the cave's entrance. Looking inside of it from out in the open, it proved to be too dark to see, however, the moment he stepped into the belly of its darkness, fundamental uses of his raiton chakra generated small sparks from his left hand which caused a bright, blinking light to significantly illuminate the cave. It'd been damp and rather cold, colder than Mizu no kun's average temperature. Miscellaneous bones from human beings lay sprawled out sporadically across the cave's floor, causing Chae to realized the extent of the damage the raccoon had done.

"This is one sick raccoon, that much is for certain. Judging from all these clothes and torn packs, these were either passerby's or just yer common foreigner. Poor things."

Trekking deeper into the cave, the sound of dripping water echoed throughout the cave, being the only audible sound within it. Besides that, even with continuous sparks lighting the way, the cave carried with it an unbelievably eerie sensation, almost as if the very thing that Chae had been hunting turned out to be watching him and waiting - he felt it. Heading even further into the cave, fresh signs of the raccoon's presence slowly eased into plain view as unfinished corpses and scavenged food packs. Crouching down juxtaposed next to one of the many corpses, he began to examine it closely.

"All this seems fresh, which could only mean that that this over-sized raccoon is likely to be close by. But how close leaves me on edge."

As if by some strange stroke of luck, a fairly loud snarl snapped through the air and into Chae's ears. The raccoon's eyes radiated with the perfect light of red as it furrowed in anger. Chae, in turn, grinned menacingly, knowing that his soon-to-be victim practically presented himself before its predator. Gradually, it moved closer and closer, almost as if it knew that it cornered its prey and knew that he had another meal. Unfortunately, Chae had other plans, namely killing the raccoon in the fastest and most effective way possible. Lucky for him, he had just the technique.

"Looks like no one is around, guess I can use it safely. Good thing Arashi is the only one who knows haha!"

With a mere thought and a flare of chakra, a cloak of raiton chakra exploded from his body and immediately surrounded him as streaks of lightning ran across and encircled his body. Startled by the sudden flash of light, Chae took that time to grab and hurl his empty gourd directly towards the Raccoon's head. After whimpering from the blow, its anger level skyrocketed as it lunged forward and up, aiming to pounce upon Chae. A powerful push against the cave's floor sent Chae himself in an up-forward motion, yet, at an angle where he met and intercepted the raccoon mid-air. Channeling the lightning armour's power specifically to his right hand, it'd thrust forward, riving through and breaching the bears hide.

"Well now, that was pretty fast. Bit messy, but definitely fast."

[Chae]

An overflow of blood spilled from the raccoon's mid-section and onto Chae's body as he kept it lifted above him before throwing its severely wounded, yet giant body off to the side. It hadn't been an understatement when the mission details emphasized on the raccoon size, the thing had -in fact- been a giant within its species. With the only form of light being the lighting that raced across Chae's body, it provided him with a good look of the raccoon as it'd lay in its final moments and seemingly begged to have its suffering ended. Looking into the creature's eyes, he could've quite possibly -considering its size- turned out to be an invaluable ally hat it not terrorized the Mizu no Kuni's countryside.

"Gotta put you down big fella', time to go see all the other little raccoon's in raccoon heaven."

Once spoken, he stepped up to its head and with an arrow shaped hand, lunged forward to pierce its skull and brain in a single thrusting motion. With the raccoon located and eliminated, Chae's job had been done until the next assignment made it his way. Settling his chakra, the cloak that surrounded his body immediately dissipated while he made his way out of the cave, back over the heal and finally towards Kirigakure.

"Looks like I'm gonna' have to get used to this whole solo act again. "
