Following hours of work, the boy would finally leave the hidden cloud's library, smiling as he did so; his happiness was attributable to the fact that he’d been able to complete his mission without much effort, and no boredom whatsoever. What some would’ve looked at as one of the more lackluster jobs Kumo had to offer, Haru saw an opportunity to not only read, but more exactly, the chance to mix it in with work. This was made possible by the use of his Kekkai Genkai, which aided by allowing him to read one book, while simultaneously sorting others.

All in all, he’d spent about four hours in the library, with the majority of that time used for reading and sorting; during this span, he’d actually learned masses of new, important information regarding the village. It made him feel even more closely connected to the place, and no longer did the boy carry the mindset of an outsider that’d just moved in, but rather, a long-time citizen of the town. It was a nice feeling, as he was finally beginning to consider Kumogakure his home, instead of it being the village he’d left the Soke Hyūga and Konohagakure for.

Still pondering on these thoughts, he’d now be headed back to his small apartment, inside of which he’d pick up his next mission information slip. He'd written three at first, though two were left with the completion of his last mission. While that one had been pretty easy, the next couple would be a little more demanding. Based on that fact, of them both being strenuous, he wasn't sure which to take; one involved running around town replacing dead light bulbs, while the other had to do with tracking down and capturing candy-thieves.

It was a fairly tough choice, as it would be getting dark within the next hour or two, which would make both of them more difficult. The young Hyūga guessed finding the broken light bulbs at night would be the easier of the two, due to the fact that the candy-thieves were expected to be little kids, and he didn’t believe they’d be allowed out too late. It’d be obvious which streetlights weren’t working, the only problem was it’d be pitch-black around those areas; either way, he was approaching his home, so for now the little dilemma would have to be forgotten.

Haru would enter the apartment at his own convenience, having figured he could take his time due to this being today’s last mission. Scanning the residence given to him by Kumogakure, he couldn’t help but produce a satisfied grin. The neighborhood he lived in was a nice one, and the dwelling itself was much better than the slightly crowded compounds he’d stayed in during his Konohagakure days. Unlike the Hyūga District, wherein everything looked virtually identical, living alone here had given him the opportunity to spice it all up himself.

Following one last glance at the place, he’d avert his attention back toward the primary reason he’d came here — the mission slip, which would give him all the information needed to complete the job. Reading through it, he noticed the mentioning of error-free light bulbs; he had none with him, of course, and thus would be forced to make another trip back across town, in order to pick them up. Sighing, the young Genin would leave his home with the note in hand. He’d be headed for the Kage Tower, situated on the opposite side of town.

Night fell during his long trek, and it became easier to see which streetlights weren’t working. Some would occasionally go off, some flickered, and others were completely dead. The problem looked to be quite serious, and, as far as he could tell, actually affected a large majority of the villagers. This observation would speed up the boy’s pace, halving the amount of time it’d take for him to reach the tower. Slowing down would be necessary at certain points, where it was too dark to see other people, but regardless he’d arrive within an hour.

He’d hurriedly step inside the structure, though calmly approached the receptionist. “hello, i'm assigned to replacing all of these defective light bulbs; to take their place, i'll need the error free ones." “ahh, yes.. hyūga haru.. one moment, please.” She'd then leave him, coming back a few minutes later with two others, each carrying huge bags full of the bulbs. Five of these would be set in the corner for him to come get later, while the sixth would be handed over. It was quite heavy, though he wouldn’t complain, but instead hastily exit the building.

Leaving the tower, he’d be nearly prepared to handle the blackout problem; the only thing he now lacked was a decent plan. His mission would be considered a failure if even one faulty light bulb wasn’t replaced; therefore, figuring out a way to make sure every inch of Kumogakure had been checked was, without question, absolutely vital. Reflecting back on some of his previous missions, he couldn’t recall ever being put in a position such as this, though there had been some similar, all of which he’d used his clan's Kekkai Genkai to deal with.

Once again, his eyes would be there to save him. It wasn’t something he’d ever grow tired of, but rather, was simply thankful for being born a Hyūga, and a main family member at that. The boy could be seen scaling a large structure only moments later, deciding not to waste anymore time thinking. At the top, he’d activate his Byakugan, afterward scanning the village. There were large sections of darkness spread throughout the town; looking over it, he guessed finishing the job would take atleast four or five long hours, if not the whole night.

Getting to work, he’d swiftly climb down the building and begin sprinting toward the corner of the village. The young Hyūga would labor at a breakneck pace, giving his all so that fellow citizens of the Hidden Cloud could walk at night, in peace and without worry of light giving out. Some bulbs would be easy to replace, while others were streetlights, and actually had to be climbed up to fix. As time passed, his effort would be rewarded, and with each section of lights replaced, he’d humbly welcome the thankful faces of civilians and ninja alike.

This steady exertion would go on smoothly for the next six hours; he had to occasionally stop back at the raikage’s tower and pick up a new bag once his previous emptied, but other than that, he worked without interruption. Haru’d finish by wiping the sweat from his face, afterward climbing back up the large structure, which would be utilized to view everything at once. The city’s lighting had been restored, thanks to the boy, and he couldn’t help but let out an elated laugh. Subsequent to this, he’d journey back to his apartment for some much-needed rest.
