The blades of vengeances have fallen swiftly. The shinobi are no more as 'Absolute Justice' has returned...now, it is the Samurai that rule the Five Major Nations!
But at what cost? Have they become the very thing that they despised the most...? Heroes and villains seem to change roles every day, but one thing is for certain - we yearn for our freedom, for days gone by where we flew the skies unhindered.
Today marks the seventh year since the reinstated reign of our leader, the Nidaime Raikage, and his fifthteenth overall year in office. And, unlike the reclusive "Half-Masked Man", his goals for this village have not been shrouded in mystery during the past seven years. With the death of our Sandaime Raikage, Eiichiro Munashi (and successors to the throne thereafter), Kumogakure no Sato had gone through a dark age the likes of which it had not seen since the First Shinobi World War. Its people had fallen on hard times, and their trust for their government had been damaged extensively.
It was then, however, that the helm of our nation was once again taken by a man many believed had perished during the Yonbi Disaster-- the former mentor of the Sandaime Raikage, and the longest running Raikage to date, Atlas Burabiya. His reemergence into the diplomatic scene sparked hope in the lives of all Kumogakure no Sato citizens, igniting a campaign to bring our nation back to its former glory, and solidify peaceful relations with other foreign superpowers. With his return, the slow but steady revival of Kumogakure no Sato was set in motion, and the dark age was put behind us at last.
Aside from renovating the village as a whole, the Nidaime has traveled to neighboring nations and countries far away, putting Kumogakure no Sato back into recognition as a world power during the past seven years. Negotiations with the Hunla nation of tribes, for example, set in motion the architectural genius that is the Raikage's Mountain today-- their expert craftsmen responsible for a majority of the construction built within the massive, cloud-shrouded mountain. In addition, a continuing camaraderie with Kusagakure no Sato has proven to be financially bountiful for both nations during the last decade.
Now, after these seven long years of dedicated hard work and inspiring struggle, many of Kumogakure no Sato's citizens are beginning to see the sunrise of a new era. Under this new regime, with ideals and goals yet unseen within the post-World War world, the people of this nation have at last recovered a passionate patriotism for their beloved country. What the future may hold is yet uncertain. But, in the hands of-- not just the Nidaime-- but Kumogakure no Sato's true sons and daughters, their success in the new world bodes well.
At the climax of its seven-year revival, the cloud-laden village known as Kumogakure no Sato has finally regained its prosperity. Now, with its bow pointed towards the horizon of a brighter future (and the Nidaime Raikage at its helm) it strives to become the righteous superpower the world needs it to be. A country dedicated to the freedom and liberty of all mankind. A country dedicated to equal rights and justice for all. A country dedicated to finding the answer to all the incessant war and bloodshed.
Under the guidance of a mysterious organization known as "CROW", an expedition has been plotted, going past the borders of the great shinobi nations-- and into lands unknown. This is a journey for peace, a journey for knowledge. One that will place the honored and brave soldiers of Kumogakure no Sato participating into the history books as legends. This expedition will mark the eve of Kumogakure no Sato's influence over the rest of the world, spreading its message of peace and justice to all those who welcome it.
This expedition marks a new era.
The operatives serving under the patch of the CROW have been tasked with guarding the caravan from beginning to end. But the lion's share of the expedition's success falls on the shoulders of those that have volunteered to partake in it-- true sons and daughters of Kumogakure no Sato. They will travel briefly across all the great nations of the main continent, gathering friends and allies loyal to their cause (or simply thirsty for adventure), before leaving the lands we know.
The path will then take them through the western most mountains via a passage known as the Grey Pass, ultimately leading them to a foreign nation known as Rakavir. The people of Rakavir, known as great sailors and ship makers, will then aid the caravan's departure towards the lands beyond the sea. It is not known what perils await these brave travelers. Or what treasures they will find in the deep regions of these mysterious lands. That being said, it is clear that this journey will not be for the faint of heart. But the rewards, many believe, are more than worth it.
