overall - ushinawa is a slender man with long, jet black hair. with features that might cause the average stranger to determine him of the opposite gender, he is in fact very removed from the idea of it all. preserving his body strictly for the purposes of combat, his wiry frame has almost 0% body fat- allowing his strikes to be precise, and incredibly fast. built with the body of a kick boxer, his alacrity and speed are the foundations of his body type. 

aside from his muscle, ushinawa has been granted with an odd beauty that surpasses most women. despite the various scars and battle wounds which cover his body, few have reached his face, the closest being a very prominent scar crossing his neck where it was once slit open during his youth. although recently, during a confrontation with the shodaime kazekage, he now has a long scar etched vertically across his right eye. with petite features, ushinawa's voice and mannerisms are very short and silent, causing those conversing with him to often either pay attention very closely, or find offense in his curtness.

his wardrobe varies from assignment to assignment. while not hesitating to dress in an outfit suited for infiltration or incognito, ushinawa's typical outfit consists of short black shorts, long athletic tights, and a loose fitting black mesh t-shirt, worn by many ninja. covering this top, ushinawa will often wear a short black cape which covers the majority of his torso. often covering his hands, it will often cover the two gray satchels at his back, where he keeps the majority of his equipment. a fan of close-range combat, ushinawa's fingers are wrapped, save the tips. his right hand also has a few bands wrapped around his wrist.

overall - the desert doesn't leave much imagination for its inhabitants. hills of nothingness. life spans lasting as long as nightfall. scorching temperatures answered by complete frigidity. the only thing that remains for a child to imagine is his survival. feeding requires strength. strength is hinged on the understanding that life is fleeting. having been raised in an impeccably harsh environment for the duration of his life, ushinawa has little time for compassion or understanding. something that caused him an incredible amount of grief upon entering the academy, he does not understand the concept of 'friendship.' he trusts no one, and can tolerate few. considering small talk a waste of effort, and indulgence a waste of resources, he remains as minimalist as possible. his eyes have been focused on conflict for as long as he could try to remember, and for there they will remain.

when interacting with his commanding officers, he questions little. having been subject to a number of suicide missions and having committed countless slaughter during his time in war, he holds no meaning to combat other than completing the objective. he will never turn back for a comrade, and considers those who have fallen simply fated to die. likewise, he would not expect a comrade to attempt to rescue him- to do so would be a sign of his own weakness. that being said, mercy shown by his enemy will be seen as an opportunity to advance. pragmatic to a fault, he does not consider compassion anything less than an inhibitor to goals of those in combat.

once on the battlefield, ushinawa has been seen to exhibit an odd joy. while not known to smile or laugh, per se, he is seen to be much more free and open about himself during times of fighting. feeling that people can only show their true selves when facing death, he enjoys missions and situations in which he has the odds against him, for that is the only time that he will be able to truly 'see' himself.

Kawarimi no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. When in danger the user will quickly substitute themselves with another nearby object - generally a block of wood, but sometimes even another person - the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosvie tags can be attached to the placement for an added surprise!

Note: Switch is near-instantaneous. This technique can only be used once per three turn. While one can switch with a variety of things it needs to be within reason, switching with a chair, log, fallen tree is acceptable, but switching with a dust particle is obviously not.

Bunshin no Jutsu is an Academy Ninjutsu technique. After performing a set of handseals, the user creates an intangible copy of themselves. This clone has no substance, so it is not able to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy. It is mainly used in combination with other Ninjutsu. These clones can be easily distinguished by opponents with Doujutsu, but even opponents with normals eyes can tell tell it apart from the original if they are observant, as the clone does not have a shadow and will not disrupt the area around them with their movement. As soon as this clone comes in contact with an opponent or gets attacked, it will disperse.

Note: The clone's movement speed is equal to the user's. Bunshin cannot mold Chakra to perform jutsu, nor can they physically harm an opponent.

Suimen Hokou no Waza is an Academy Ninjutsu technique, and is a variant of Kinobori no Waza. By emitting a constant stream of Chakra from the bottom of their feet and using this repelling force, the user is able to walk across the water's surface. This technique is vastly more difficult than its counterpart because the amount of Chakra that needs to be focused changes constantly, but it helps to build Chakra control in the user. After much practice, it is even possible to 'skate' across the water's surface instead of just walking or running.

Note: The user must know Kinobori no Waza in order to use this technique.

Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique used across the shinobi world by all, ranging from the most basic shinobi to the legends of lore. Considered a high-speed movement technique - to an observer caught in the optical illusion, it appears as if the user has teleported. This allows the user to escape or attack suddenly, should they need to. However, while a high-speed movement, if used in broad daylight, one will still be quite visible and as such, easier to be defended against. In order to achieve maximum effect, the user must combine it with a distraction.

Note: Despite popular belief, this is not an ability that allows an individual to teleport, or even move incomprehensibly fast. It simply combines high mobility with some disruption of visibility to conceal those movements. That in mind, if you can conceal your movement, it is common for this technique to allow very long-distance dashes before enemies may notice you.

With this technique a translucent string, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a shuriken, making it possible to alter its path after having thrown it. An expert will have the ability to freely glide the shuriken in any direction with just a single movement of their fingertip. The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a time-lag of several seconds, it will come from behind. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite.

Note: By combining this technique with a Chidori enhancement, the user may cause the wire to break the Shuriken apart into multiple sharp slabs that can be directed by the user.

A skilled user of this technique is capable of surrounding their immediate area with circular walls of flames, incinerating multiple targets even if they approach from numerous angles simultaneously.

Note: These flames must follow the immediate arc of the swing, and thusly can and will effect allies if in range. The flames disperse and weaken the further from the sword they travel. After a little more than 3 meters, they are almost altogether benign. Any single arc of fire will cover a 3 meter length along the arc of the swing itself; dragging the arc of flames further will require a greater deal of chakra to be added..

Strong Fist is a Taijutsu style, the purpose of which is to cause extreme forms of external damage to a target, alongside breaking as many bones as possible. It is the exact opposite of the Gentle Fist, which is used exclusively by the Hyuuga clan. This style of fighting involves smashing your opponent and is generally used only by extremely physically powerful and dominating shinobi.

Note: For a Low increment of chakra, Goken practitioners can marginally raise the destructive force of any standard attack (non-jutsu) they perform; each strike will have a temporary +1 Strength bonus to it.

This counters an attack of an opponent moving forward. When attacking, an enemy most often attacks by closing distance between himself and his victim. When faced with this scenario, the Koppoka will use their opponents forward momentum in order to avoid physical damage to themselves, and place it into a position where the user is unharmed. This may result in moving the attacking energy downward, flipping the opponent over, or to either side of the user's body, flanking the opponent.

Ashes to Ashes: It is said that a Katon user's flame rivals that of the sun, and can burn through almost anything. And while this might be a stark dramatization, the chakra infused heat does pose a far greater threat than most typical fire. Katon users of this level are capable of using their flames to easily melt steel, and defensive jutsu (pending element) of C-rank and below.
