Eikitai followed after Reiko casually walking and winding his way through the crowd at a much slower pace than the rest of the team. He waited for the connection to be made and sure enough the young shinobi soon realized why many village shinobi traveled by rooftop while on important business. He sprung lightly onto the rooftops and finally picked up his own pace keeping stride with the group as they traveled swiftly along the rooftops through the mist. In a short expanse of time they were upon the scene and watching from above upon the rooftops as the wolves tore at the fresh flesh of their most recent victim, what appeared to be a small group of children.
Deacan explained his sound logic to the group at large while Ekitai focused more on observing the pack as they ate. He explained that waiting for the pack to be weak might make the assignment easier and prove simpler in the long haul but the more Ekitai watched the wolves the more something seemed off. He didn't answer Deacan yet, merely waited silently as the somber quiet fell upon them and then he heard it. Beneath the growling and barking of the wolves as they fought over food could be heard the weakest voice of a child whimpering.
"Help... m-mummy..."
Ekitai did not bother to even answer Deacan as he sprung down to the ground casting ninja wires out in precise arcs. The wires wound around three of the seven wolves present and with a bursting sprint to the side Ekitai dragged them away from the pack hauling them struggling against the wire away from the child. The other four who had been busy feasting upon the rest of the meal turned their attention to the small horribly mutilated child.
Ekitai had now entrusted the life of the child to them as he retreated with his own wolves for a small battle of his own. Hopefully the young ninja were capable of handling the four remaining on their own but even so Ekitai only drew the three wolves off a distance of ten meters before the broke free of the wires and began to encircle him. Even more important that dispatching the wolves would be the life of the child, which was now in the hands of two young medics. Ekitai couldn't help but shudder at the thought?
