Despite it's name, Hi no Kuni is marked by forests, helping to give rise to its ninja village "hidden in its leaves". The Fire Country is one of the largest ninja countries in the shinobi world, sharing borders with more countries than any other - Grass, Rain, Waterfall, Sound, River, Tea and several unnamed countries all cradle it.
The Water country is one of the smaller Major countries but has nonetheless thrived due to a strong, disciplined ninja force. Coupled with the fact the 'country' is in fact a large island grants it a great defense against outside threats. Other than their legendary fighting force, the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, and their overall skill in combat, not much else is known of this mist-purge isle...
Like its name suggests, the Wind Country is marked by deserts and dry mountain ranges bathed in a constant, natural flow of gales and gusts, the main proponents behind such a desolate, dry environment. The Wind Country is one of the larger ninja countries in the Naruto world, though it only borders Rain, River and several unnamed countries. Its western most borders are blocked off by nature, though many rumor the path to a "New World" lies beneath.
The Lightning Country is one of the larger ninja countries in the Naruto world, but due to its treachrous archhitecure, few besides its natural residents survive its trecks. Plagued by a sea of hight, sharp cliffs that reach into the heavens, a seemingly constant, dark presence in the sky surrounds only the highest peaks, resulting in a steady shower of lightning for all to see. It only shares a border with one unknown country, rumored to house a legion of legends long lost to time. The remainder of the country is marked by a long, plain coastline.
The Earth Country is one of the larger countries within the world, sharing borders with Waterfall, Grass, Rain and several unnamed countries. Because of its hidden village's warlike tendencies against its neighbors, the country is under constant strife. However, due to its hard, natural earthen fortifications, they have survive the test of time. A truly arid place.
The Grass Country contains some of the more widely varied landscapes in the shinobi world, with forests, grasslands, mountains, rivers and bamboo thickets dotting it. The country shares borders with Earth, Fire, Rain and Waterfall. Due to its proximity to such hot blooded Major Nations, it has been invaded and sacked numerous times during previous ninja wars. As a result, the country remains underdeveloped, unlike its neighbors. Regardless, it is said its hidden village has many secrets waiting amongst the thickets...
As its name implies, Taki no Kuni is one massive chain of waterfalls. Big and small, talla and short, mountains, paths, caves, and other natural formations exist around what was there first - the waterfalls. Many hidden secrets lie beneath underwater passages and within secret pools, that is, if the treasure hunter manages to outlive the dangers awaiting. The land surrounding the hidden village resembles that of the Fire Country, with large trees and cliffs. The country shares borders with Earth, Grass, Fire and as of yet unnamed country
With the world now aware of The Great Battle and its consequences, that tranquil notion of peace that had reigned over the last decade would have its existence threatened. Son Goku was no longer free, but the world remained ignorant of its master - for now. On top of this, a new face has turned towards the direction of the shinobi world.
Kusagakure. Once abandoned, the Grass Kingdom was now full of life, yet another player in this dangerous game. Peace...
Peace was waning.
