PHYSIOLOGY

Kai's physique has largely been developed from rigorous training once he was alone he threw himself into working out and developing himself to be a dog of the military which has created muscular build. He has allowed his nigh-black raven hair to grow out and lets it flow down his back to about his shoulder blades, he doesn't wear it this way for his own preference but simply because hes neglected to cut it back.

Though strange to others the Kage-Hebi's eyes have ranged from many different kinds and Kai doesn't abstain from this rule either while his own optics are crimson in color while bearing the slitted pupil of a reptile aided by his sharp canines. Some may see it as unkempt but Kai has also let his nails grow out slightly so he could taper them to the slight appearance of claws. One of his most distinguishing features is a set of pauldrons on his shoulders said to be crafted from the black scales of a dragon.

More unique than many other kinds of body art, Kai has created multiple plugs and studs of iron that are placed through out his body. He first created these as ways to help intensify his training as weights. These iron studs are placed across his body up his arms, down both sides of his spines and chest, along his legs, and in his knuckles.

:CURSE MARK:
State 1: In it's dormant state, Kai's curse mark takes the appearance of a three tribal spirals with spiked ridges and is placed at the base of the back of his neck. When the first state is activated marks similar to scales will spread out from the mark around Kai's neck and shoulders then spreading further to cover his face and arms. smaller traits present in this form are elongates canines and nails.

State 2: When the second state is activated the pattern will cover Kai's body before turning it a gunmetal gray color while the scelera of his eyes will turn black and the iris's will turn gold. Among the random protrusions the Curse Mark is famous for Kai's draws upon his heart's deepest ambition, to be a dragon. First a set of raven wings will burst forth from his shoulder-blades, these feathers of these wings are naturally as hard as steel and can be used to slice an enemy to ribbons. Secondly a 2 meter ridged tail will surge from his tail bone, and lastly Kai's skin will shift and become scale-like.

Cocky In any confrontation Kai becomes extremely self confident in taking out his opposition. His attacks are typically let out in fierce barrages of steel and iron crushing striking and slashing past his obstacles. He prefers close combat since it compliments his snake-like abilities. More often then not a nearly maniacal grin will spread across his face as he readies for the blood shed ahead.

Malicious The most common side of Kai is his brutal and bloodthirsty rage that has been known to lash out against the stupid and disrespectful. Born from his deep seated abandonment issues Kai will lash out against anyone who starts to bother him. This behavior had gotten him reprimanded many times during his academy days.

Laid Back Kai is often very relaxed despite his darker demeanor though those outside his village would rarely see this side of him. The reason for this is that during missions and such he becomes very impatient unless a cool head is required. This part of his personality is also largely dictated by his preference for cooler temperatures, the cooler the calmer in his case, however this trait only became evident after his Kekkai Genkai had awakened.

Protective Though rare it may be Kai is very protective of the few that manage to get underneath his iron skin. This was evident back when he was younger and would pull pranks on those his mother and father didn't agree with. Since the time of the loss of his family he has let very few women within the depths of his heart.

Maturity As he grew more mature his final wall gained a crack that would be picked at by humanity, those who showed a truly human part of themselves would gain good graces with Kai for it was part of their being he would see in that period of time. However as maturity comes so does reality and one of the basic truths is that the strong survive, because of this Kai understands and adheres to hierarchy which presides over the village for his own good, whether or not he likes it.[/blockquote]



HISTORY

Kai was born originally to a couple who lived in the Land of Fire. This couple had been part of the original Kage-Hebi corps rooted within Kirigakure but had decided to leave and find their higher calling through their travels. They had come to settle in the lively Tanzaku town not long before the woman gave birth to the young Kage-Hebi. He had been a happy young child always following around his father and mother while playing pranks on those they didn't agree with while never getting caught. Though the behavior was typical his father was proud of his son's skill while his mother became worried for she became scared of the thought of him winding up in the military like his parents used to be.

Around the time he was 8 years old Kai went with his mother to her job as a waitress while his father went to his job as a military consultant to the daimyo of the Land of Wind. The day was uneventful for the most part, Kai simply sat in the back of the restaurant and stayed behaved waiting to go home and see his dad since he got home earlier than them. When they went home his mother noticed a man in black following them and she led Kai through a few back allies to lose their pursuer and make it home without Kai getting hurt. Once home his mother stopped him in the door way gasping in shock, Kai didn't understand and pushed past her stopping and staring at the dissolved corpse of his father. His mother understood it was the old feud that the Kage-Hebi had held with the Airontoku they had been war rivals when his parents were part of Sunagakure's military force. She grabbed Kai picking him up and running out of the building through the crowds understanding that their tail from earlier had been the killer. As they continued along his mother found a shipping truck headed to Kumogakure and put Kai on it and was about to get on herself when she stopped as a thick cloud of hissing vapor rose from her back. Kai started to cry but no sound would come as the truck started and began to move away. His final memory of that die would be of his mother falling to the ground with a burned hand print in her back and a man in a black hood walking away from her corpse.

After the day long trip to Kumogakure they stopped and a man working for the store they had delivered to was unloading the truck. He found Kai in the back of the truck curled in a ball silent and still crying. The man bent down and picked up the boy finding that he had fallen asleep. He took the boy home after that and housed him, after some time to become used to his new surroundings he had enrolled into the academy there passing it within the same year. Despite this rapid progression, Kai refused becoming a Gennin and left to train in the nearby caves to heighten his awareness of his own magnetic abilities. He returned after 3 years of this exile to become part of Kumogakure's military force.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique) (50)

A powerful jutsu intended to call forth aid when in dire need, Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon a a variety of entities and items meant to assist them in a dire situation. From people to animals, to inanimate objects such as weapons and items, these creations come forth out of thin air near-instantly after the seals are done and into the battlefield. Keep in mind each summoning in question requires a previous contract to be filled out. Finally, signing this contract also allows said summoning to be able to reverse summon the human ninja to their own location.

Note: All summons have their own chakra cost, which the user will need to meet in order to bring them forth. In terms of inanimate objects, the user can summon up to ten secondary weapons for a Low amount of chakra (per summoning); on the other hand, they may summon up to five primary weapons for a Mid amount of chakra (per summoning).

Senchineru Taidenkougeki (Charged Attack Sentinel)50

The most basic principal of all Ju Kenshi techniques, and the reason their enormous blades seem so easily wielded in the hands of a master. One who has learned this technique charges their hands with chakra to lighten the physical strain of wielding such cumbersome weapons, then loads that charge directly into the blade at the moment of attack, drastically increasing its apparent weight, as well as its destructive potential, and lending credence to the title "Heavy" Blade Skill. Due to their sheer power, the user sacrifices speed in order to deliver attacks that are incredibly difficult to adequately defend against. Senchineru Taidenkōgeki must always be used first if the user wishes to perform specific Ju Kenshi techniques, but is sufficient on its own to create intensely powerful basic attacks. Any form of Senchineru Taidenkōgeki known to the practitioner can be used in conjunction with the fighting style techniques, so long as it is equal to or greater than the technique used.

Note: The charging process is disrupted when physical contact by anything other than the user is made with their weapon (the user cannot Charge while in the middle of defending/attacking with the blade). While charging, the user cannot also utilize the Taijutsu Primary movement speed perk.

The cost of Ju Kenshi techniques is added onto the cost offered for this charge ability.

Charging a weapon with a Low increment of chakra doubles its weight; charging a weapon with a Mid increment of chakra triples its weight; and charging a weapon with a 2x High increment of chakra quadruples its weight. However, it should be noted that the user does not feel this change and wield the blade as if it were its relatively light (as effectively as one can wield a traditional sword, like a katana).

The user charges their weapon before intentionally striking their opponents blade, using the sudden increase in weight to redirect the force of blocking/parrying maneuvers and cause a target to damage themselves with their own weapon. The purpose of this technique is quite literally to overpower an opponent into harming themselves, and can only be used to that end, meaning simple deflection in a direction that would not result in the opponents blade coming in contact with their own body cannot be achieved.

After a brief charge, the user allows the flat side of their massive blade to be loaded with chakra, and pushes back against attacks targeting any vital focal point with great force in order to defend against them. The added weight of the Ju Kenshi practitioners strike is used in this manner specifically to break an opponents grip on the hilt of their sword, to break their hand/leg, etc. and can cause a moderate amount of damage due to the strength of the recoil.

Note: This technique can only be used against piercing/stabbing/blunt taijutsu attacks attempting to concentrate damage into a single point against the Ju Kenshi practitioner.

An upward sweeping slash, where the enhanced weight behind the strike is directed to knock an opponent into the air on contact, as well as setting them up for the next attack. If this attack successfully connects, its effects take place whether the opponent blocks or not, though successfully blocking reduces the 'knock-up' distance by 50%.

Note: By default, the user can launch a victim one meter into the air. However, for a Mid increment of chakra, the user can increase this distance to three meters.

By swinging their blade towards an opponent with great force and loading their charged chakra into the very tip of their sword, the Ju Kenshi practitioner uses this extra momentum to boost a mighty leap towards an enemy within 10 meters at roughly 3 times their base speed, crashing their weapon into the body of their foe with the ability to break bone on impact if not properly defended against. This is not an incomprehensibly fast movement however, but if it can be combined with a distraction, has truly devastating potential, allowing them to close distance between themselves and more mid-ranged fighters quite effectively.

Note: This technique can only be used with the 2x High version of the Charged Attack Sentinel technique. The speed granted by this technique does not stack with the Taijutsu Primary speed bonus.



Ouibureka (Throne Breaker) 150

Holding their enormous blade horizontally as if it were a bat or a club, the user swings with all their might as the loaded chakra courses through the blade allowing its increased weight to create a massive knockback, the sheer force of which can even take opponents who attempt to block the strike off of their feet. This creates a visible shockwave of force which easily sends foes flying, and if used in conjunction with the bladed edge of the weapon as opposed to the flat of the blade, is one of the most deadly techniques in the Ju Kenshi arsenal.

Note: This technique can only be used with the 2x High version of the Charged Attack Sentinel technique. Furthermore, this technique is capable of knocking up to three enemies a total of ten meters away.

Juin Jutsu (Cursed Seal Technique)

Once the seal is placed on a ninja the chance of surviving is one in ten. Once in place, the seal will grant the wearer the ability to access their real power. By releasing chakra, the seal becomes active and begins to forcibly pull out even more chakra. When the wearer releases the cursed seal to activate the extra chakra, they will lose their free will permanently over time, transforming the user into a mindless killing machine.

When a user first receives the cursed seal on their body, they are only able to access the "Level 1" power. This level of strength marginally increases the user's chakra reserves, as well as their combative capabilities. With time the infection can spread and the user can gain a "Level 2" power. The Level 2 form will dramatically increase the wearer's power. When initiated, the Level 2 power will also manifest physical changes in the wearer. The seal will end up covering their entire body, the skin color will change and protrusions will begin to sprout from different parts of the body.

The spread of the Level 2 power can come in two fashions: 1) The natural spread of the infection over time (thirty OOC days), and 2) The drinking of the Seishingan drug, which places the individual into a near death state. By ingesting the drug, the enzyme infection will forceful spread and cause the body to die. However, the use of the Four Sounds barrier jutsu will reduce the side effect of the curse and allow the body time to adjust to the level of infection without the individual expiring. Once the body is able to handle the infection, the users Level 2 power will then be fully activated

Note: The perfect form, tied to the SS jutsu, allows a single weapon-like alteration: blade/kunai-like feathers. You may also select one type of weapon spawnable on the arm; this weapon may be either an axe, sword, or mace, and may only grow to be just slightly (up to 1 foot) longer than the length of the forearm: sword.

At Level 1, the user will receive a boost of chakra equivalent to two Highs worth, and a physical increase equivalent to that of a Taijutsu Primary (2x the speed of your average shinobi). From there, the Level 2 perfect form will double the depth of your chakra pool, allowing up to 2 massive jutsu. Finally, the user's physical strength, speed, and defense increase on par with the 4th Gate (while in the Level 2). This altered form can be sustained for up to 5 turns or until all of the user's chakra is used. There is High cost associated with the Level 2 perfect form. At the end of the 5 turns, the deepened chakra pool returns to normal.

Jatai no Daija (Snake Scent) 50

Snakes are wonderful sensors, able to locate things within their surroundings through changes in temperature, as well as the intermingling of orders within the micro-cells in its mouth, and finally, vibrations created across the air as received by their tongues. As such, the user’s birthed with the snake blood have learned to hone this ability, able to spot disturbances in their surroundings at all times.

Note: This ability can actively track targets up to thirty meters away. However, sensing becomes severely inhibited when the user is within ten meters of considerable amounts of either Hyouton (Ice), Futton (Boil), Katon (Fire) or Youton (Lava).

Pit vipers, pythons, and some species of Boa possess the ability to “see” the radiated heat from a warm-blooded animal through special sensors located between the nostril and eyes. Like many Kage-Hebi techniques, this ability is based off of these snakes. With this, they can see heat and via activating an infrared sight. This helps in tracking targets in the dark, or when they are hidden by physical objects.

Note: This heat-vision essentially replaces the user’s standard vision. This means that the Kage-Hebi will be incapable of seeing things which lack heat.

This technique is an add-on to the Nan-Kaizou technique all Kage-Hebi are known to possess. When a Kage-Hebi extends their limb, they are able to transform said extended limb into a large anaconda-like snake. This grants the users extended limb extra durability due to being a large snake while at the same time enhancing the extended limbs strength.

Note: Only one limb may be transformed at a time. This technique was created by Yuri.

Senei Jashu is a signature Kagehebi Nintaijutsu technique which allows the clan member to manifest a bundle of quick-striking snakes that extend from the user’s sleeves. The Kage-Hebi extends their arm and shoots out snakes to attack a target, having them move at impressive speeds and strike with their fangs. Though basic, this variation has been known to subdue even the strongest of foes with a single snake bite.
Note: By default, the user can summon up to six snakes from their sleeve. Likewise, these snakes can infect a target with the Kage-Hebi’s Tier 2 poisons.



Jagei Jubaku (Snake Authority Spell) 50

Using their snake charming abilities, the Kagehebi can extend large snakes from their sleeves by way of the Senei Jashu, enveloping the target in a flurry of snakes which will coil around the them and bind of impact instantly. The further addition of the user's murderous intent can weaken their target's resolve, and only a giant burst of chakra such as the Gates may break free of the snake's hold, which constricts onto the victim's skin as if the reptiles were comprised of pure iron; digging into the skin and biting, a most horrendous way to expire.

Note: Only one snake may be conjured per sleeve (a maximum of two).

Nan Kaizou is one the most essential Kage-Hebi Nintaijutsu technique, as it allows a ninja to make their body extremely malleable, much like a snake. It was originally developed for spying activities, but perfected in the hands of the Kage-Hebi and their natural snake-infused blood. When used the clan member can stretch and twist their body at any angle, allowing them to surprise their opponents, spy on situations normally out of reach, and react much like a snake would. The only drawback is that while malleable, their bodies are highly susceptible to damage in this form as their bone structure is no longer ‘normal’.

Note: The maximum distance the user may stretch their body is twenty meters.

Snakes are one of the most venomous creatures of the animal kingdom, an important attribute for survival and dominance. In the case of the Kage-Hebi, this trait has not been overlooked. With intense training, the clan member can learn to produce a uniquely strong poison which can be added to their clan jutsu in order to leave their victims helpless.
Note: Victims struck by this specific venom will bleed out in a total of ten posts, unless the wound is healed by a medic.

An advaced version of Senei Jashu, the Kagehebi now controls a massive amount of snakes at once in order to subdue their opponent. The user extends their hand in the direction of their target. A torrent of snakes erupt from their sleeves and fly forward quickly. Once extended the snakes can wrap around and bite into the target to hold and bind them.

Note: By default, the user can summon twelve snakes from their sleeve. The user must first know the Senei Jashu technique. Likewise, these snakes can infect a target with the Kage-Hebi’s Tier 2 poisons.


Mandara no Jin (Myriad Snake Net Formation) 300

Using their ties to snakes, the Kage-Hebi will release a torrent of serpents from their mouth, bursting forth towards their target at high speeds as well as replicating in amongst itself. This wave will rise and rush towards their target, increasing in size and speed along the way. These snakes can also open their mouths to extend whatever type of main weapon the user is currently equipped with. Only a powerful enough wave of force can stop the network and destroy the snakes.

Note: The wall created boasts an impressive count of 1,000 snakes, though they aren’t large or impressive in size (roughly one meter long and three inches thick). These snakes cannot be controlled and travel in a straight line, and perish two posts after they’ve been created. The wall created is roughly ten meters high and twenty meters wide.

The iconic symbol of a Kage-Hebi's dedication to the path of the snake and their willingness to sacrifice the very things that make them human, Yamata no Orochi is a Nintaijutsu technique that uses the clan members fine tuned chakra control and their dominion over the power of the snake and their bodies in order to generate a gigantic, eight-headed white snake. Birthed from their mortal body, the snake grows rapidly and, due to its large size, can cause massive destruction within seconds. Finally, as a sign of mastery, the user himself can appear within any one of the eight mouths belonging to the snakes, allowing them to use whatever main weapon they have equipped order to strike their targets quickly and fatally.

Note: The size of this transformation is comparable to other large summons, and can be sustained for a total of three posts. This technique can only be used once per thread.

Raiton • Kaminari Shibari is a Ninjutsu utilizing the Lightning Element. The use will call down three bolts of lightning that will then implant into the ground in a triangular shape around their opponent. These Raiton infused pieces will then create electrified fields between themselves to form a triangular shaped prison. The field can be penetrated by a more powerful Wind Element infused weapon or a jutsu of stronger force.

One of the rare techniques within the shinobi world involving both shape and nature manipulation, Chidori is a Raiton based ninjutsu developed for the purpose of ensured assassination purposes. Activating the body to focus chakra to the hand, the user's hand become enveloped by an electrical force. This force is their chakra altered in nature to an electrical current. By altering the shape of the force, similar to an electrical discharge, they can decide the power and range of the attack. After concentrating all the chakra into the arm, the user rushes forward in order to use the power of the thrust from the chakra to pierce any object with the extended forearm. Due to the high speed, the force emits a sound like a thousand birds chirping which gave the technique its name.

Note: Pierces through barriers 'A' rank and below, and instantly paralyzes the victim's body upon impact for the remainder of the turn it was used, presuming the strike doesn't kill the victim.

Kugutsu no Jutsu is a fundamental ninjutsu technique behind all forms of puppetry, and the preferred method of execution for shinobi that have discovered its use in battle. By emitting threads of chakra that allow perfect control between the user and their creation, it allows a ninja to use a puppet to attack from afar. The puppet itself can be loaded with many weapons and tools, allowing the puppet master to remain hidden while the puppet moves and attacks the target. However, puppet masters can also attack their strings to human beings as well (requires a physical touch first), and weapons as well!

Being comprised of chakra, these threads are immune to any and all physical assaults (including elemental ninjutsu). They can, however, be cut by items that are being charged with chakra (regardless of the element). The user can emit one thread per finger, each of which is capable of controlling a single item (a full puppet included).
