Siku Maboroshi
Siku, after having taken a D ranked mission and found it's reward not quite large enough to satisfy him, sought out for something with a higher payout. Taking on a C ranked mission, Siku had to help out the students at the academy since the teachers were having such difficulty keeping their attention and getting them to learn efficiently. He was to tell them stories of war & death, and teach them a jutsu or two. Siku only knew of his father's death as a Shinobi, so he would only be able to share that with the students.
It would be very personal for him, and the kids could even mock his father, but Siku felt he needed to be able to tell the stories of his father without losing his composure. A hot-headed, or over-emotional Shinobi wasn't a good thing to have around, or to be. They became reckless, incompetent, or even distracted. As per the jutsu Siku had to teach them, he knew what he had been taught by the academy, and figured they needed to know the basics more than anything else. Approaching the academy, Siku felt the nostalgia returning to him as he opened the doors and stepped inside. He knew which room he was expected in, and it was three doors down to the right. It took him under a minute to reach the door, as he grabbed the handle and twisted it, pulling it open towards him. It was silent in the hall, but once the door opened he heard the extreme noise of the classroom come to a sudden halt as all eyes were on him. Siku looked with a questioning face as the classroom followed him from the door to the teacher's side. Siku greeted the teacher, shaking his hand and asking about his task.
" Hello Senpai, I understand you need some assistance. Where would you like me to start? "
The man, whose Chuunin vest was more than obvious, looked at Siku with a sort of jealousy and amazement. The classroom was silent up until Siku stopped talking, when a student decided to say something smart.
" He can start by making us lunch. That's probably all he is good for. "
The Chuunin looked up at the student, and so did Siku. The class chuckled and giggled away, the Chuunin trying to get them quiet.
" Come on class quiet down. Siku Maboroshi is here to tell you some stories about being a Shinobi, and also teach you a jutsu or two. "
" He doesn't even look threatening. I bet he hasn't killed anyone yet, either. This is a waste of my time- "
Siku approached the student with a sort of gloom appearance upon his face, his lips and eyes dead straight, his head tilted down towards the ground. When he reached the student, he grabbed one of the two Gou sword handles on his back and stomped on his right food to hold him in place. He struggled and scoffed in pain, but he couldn't budge.
" Y'know, I don't carry around these swords to harvest crops. But you are right, and I am proud to admit I have not yet killed another person. It's not something you should feel glorified about though. You should feel guilty when you take someone's live. Their friends, family, all bonds they had with the deceased person will begin to fade. A feeling of hate will nurture itself within them. And then they may seek revenge on you, and the cycle of murder will never cease. But if we live and let live, we may find peace for a time. It is much more meaningful for a Kage to acquire peace for his village than to wage a war. Even if they won the war. "
Siku let go of his sword and lifted his foot, the student pressing his lips together, although stopped himself from saying anymore. Siku hoped that this bit of wisdom would reach to the students deeply, so that they sought peace rather than war. Returning to the front of the class, Siku then began to speak of a story. The story of his father, Retsumoto Maboroshi.
" I, along with my mother, are the only two members of the Maboroshi family to this day. My father was a Shinobi for Kirigakure, along with his brother Satsuki. My father's name was Retsumoto, and he was a fairly skilled fighter. He was known for his use of the sword mixed with Ninjutsu, allowing his weapon to inflict damage well beyond it's physical capabilities. I will tell you of his achievements, and his endeavors. However, I require complete silence from all of you in order to tell these stories. Is that understood? "
Siku scanned the room, looking at all the eyes which were plastered on him. They were just that, silent, as they nodded, or simply continued to stare at him. Resuming from there, Siku wanted to give them as big a picture of his father's history as he could. It would be a long one, but it would be well worth it.
" Alright, where to begin....On his very first mission... "Teach Me, Teach Me!
