The day wasn't as humid as it was the previous, which was all good within the land of fire; it meant that there wasn't going to be any rain or fog for some time, at least for a few days. Helios didn't much enjoy the rain; it made him feel too anxious and lazy. The crystaline blue of the skyborn sheet coupled with the gentle breeze that carried not only the leaves and bramble below, but the clouds and birds that drift upon the winds of heaven itself. The flow of passing by winds caressed caringly upon the cheek of the young swordsman, flicking at the ends of his hair that sent a cooing, comforting feeling down his body. For once in a long time, Helios smiled.
The young boy could scarcely remember the last time he had wondered outside of the village gates, but he did recall having someone with him. He pondered for a moment before looking down the wide dirt path; he remembered walking it for a time before turning off into a distant clearing. Ah, that's right; he was sent on a mission to help collect medical supplies for the hospital, but for the life of him he couldn't remember what he had learned. It had something to do with how certain flowers had certain medicinal qualities, but it was so long ago the knowledge seeped through his mind and into thin air.
"I wonder what it would be like to see other villages," Helios muttered to himself. He didn't know why he spoke aloud as though he was waiting for someone to reply to his whim. "It seems as though I'm just a small piece on a much grander board." Helios took a few steps forwards towards the flanking edges of trees, before leaning his side against one of them and looking up at the sky. He couldn't see much of it, and could see the majority of the canopies of the trees blocking his sight, only catching a small, thin tear within them that revealed the bright blue yonder.
