Rael merely nodded at the older Genin's plan, finding his reasoning sound. It may be harsh, but with Jett's current skills, scouring the lands beyond Water Country for information about the whereabouts of his sister would be next to impossible. Furthermore, unless there were extenuating circumstances, Genin were only granted a very limited period of leave outside Kirigakure when not running missions. Searching for someone with only obscure leads, if what Rael deduced about his comrade's situation was correct, was not going to be done in just a day or two. There was also the fact their Mizukage likely didn't even know who Jett was at the moment. If he succeeded in becoming Chuunin, and actually made himself known in their village leader's eyes, the man might be more inclined to grant him permission.

On that note, if he doesn't attain Chuunin, he won't look for his sister?

Deciding not to bring the question up, he took Jett's desire for the conversation to end in stride, mirroring the other Genin as they stood. "I won't keep you any longer then. Thank you again for inviting me today...Jett-san," he allowed himself to use the other's given name, albeit still including the appropriate suffix. "I trust we will be seeing one another again soon." It was highly likely the two of them would be paired together several more times before the next Chuunin Exam arrived, and just like his older counterpart, Rael had a lot left to brush up on before he considered himself ready.

Giving the teen a short bow, Rael left the restaurant's premises, following the nearest road that would take him to the village gates, and from there, to the docks leading out of Water Country. There would be time in the following weeks for last-minute training and running errands.

Right now, he had a ship to catch.

In his mind, there was no 'if he did not attain' the rank of Chunin. He would succeed, and he would go on to search for information. There was no concern over whether he'd be ready or not, because he was going to attempt. Success or failure, Jett would still try to finish the Chunin exams when it came time for it, and it would merely be up to him, in that time beforehand, to make sure he was ready. He could not afford to hold himself back in fear of failure, for if he did that, he would never succeed, and then he would never see his sister again.

That wasn't an option. He would find his sister. Whatever it took, he would do it. He would become a Chunin, and if need be, in time he would be a Jounin. He most likely would. The Shiroi woman that attacked him while on guard duty, was wearing a snake mask. Now, while the snake was a clan icon for the Shiroi, the wearing of animal masks was also a clear indication of an ANBU representative in the hidden villages. Perhaps her getup marked a equal standing in the clan for her. He didn't know, but for the sake of survival, he would assume that she was at the least, on par with a Jounin ninja, nothing less. These were the facts.

What did he have to go on? Once he was Chunin or Jounin, where would he go first? Well, the first step would be to check in on Terumi's note. He could not understand why she gave him that note, after stating she wished to kill him because of what he'd done to Katsuo. Katsuo, like Jett's family, was dead. Killed, not by Jett himself persey, but instead by that other part of him, Jinnzou Ningen. But that aspect of it all was rather pointless was it not? Mother's side of the family did not know about Jett's 'anger' and that other part of him. Those that had seen it, save his sister, were dead. He refused to believe she was dead too, though it had been a nagging sensation at the back of his mind on more than one occasion. And despite that angry half of him being able to know better, it refused to tell him the truth.

"I'll find you Reika..." he muttered under h is breath, and slipped out of the shop behind Rael. They would go their separate ways for now, but in time they would no doubt be teamed up again. The higher ups in the village seemed to like them working together. They did well as a pair. Or perhaps Rael's skill balanced out Jett's lack thereof. That was the second time such a thought passed through Jett's mind. He tried to ignore it though, and continued on his path back home.
