I'm still trying to grasp all the distances properly, but uhmmm. Basically, your jutsu has a 30 meter reach, while you yourself should be roughly 25-30 meters ahead of us, if i've read everything correctly? However, you've been using the end of Atropos' leg as the marker, meaning that you're between 5 and 10 meters further from us, specifically, atop of her. I've apparently been wrong about everything else so far, so i shan't be surprised if it's the case here too.

But i do believe that as Atropos is about 20 meters in length, and you've stated your distances from the end of her leg closest to you, we have some room to work with, additionally taking into account that the fire does have to split and circle us, meaning that it would close behind us at the very last step.

As he finished speaking, a brilliant flash of light, which seemed to originate to the side of Atropos, spread into my vision. It was foolish to assume the Kazekage wouldn't be accompanied by shinobi, indeed, the man seemed to have an endless supply of them. I cried out, kneeling down atop my summon and tried to re-orient myself. Blinded as i was, i couldn't see what was happening, yet the sound of roaring flames and a sudden wave of heat warned me of the danger. We were doubtless in a serious situation.

"Bass! Gungnir! Requesting immediate assistance! We're under attack from the Kazekage, Lady Tsuchikage is in danger!" Rosa screamed into my radio, possessing rather more presence of mind than i did. My mind was racing. I'd led my shinobi into danger. Thankfully, Atropos wasn't feeling quite as helpless as i. Despite her many eyes being also blinded, even the most mundane of animals will flee from flames. The heat and rush of them was more than apparent, and it was only thanks to the distance we'd kept from whatever source of the flames that allowed Atropos to scuttle furiously backwards.

I could tell from the noise she made that her legs had been burned, but perhaps we were out of the danger for a moment? Rosa and Clotho had both been unable to perform their prepared techniques, due to the sudden blindness, which indeed, had still not worn off. All three of us were still attempting to recover, and i assumed Jin was in the same situation.

We couldn't fight him like this. Not just us. I'd never planned for this to happen. Abandoned by Seidou and Ares, who'd proved to have been nothing but hot air all along, and with no word from Bass or Gungnir, what was i supposed to do? I'd never pretended to be looking for some honourable one on one clash of kages. Nothing came before Coco. Nothing. Had it taken this to make me remember that? Why was nobody saving me!

In an instant my eyesight was gone, a blinding flash left me blinded for the moment while I tried to regain my composure. How could I have not seen the ninja that blinded us? I couldn't see anything and soon enough I felt heat and felt fire burn my face which made me instantly back away and activate one of my hijutsus.

I heard Coco's scream in the background as I still struggled to find out what was going on; however I could tell we were moving. The spider beneath me began to shift and start to move, what direction I didn't know. I was in the same position as Rosa and Coco, struggling to recover while we waited for back up. Was this the end?

For the record, fire doesn't really just extinguish if you step out of it. So while you guys are good, I'd assume the front legs of your spider are not just burned, but are still on fire. Just keep note of that.

They might have dodged a bullet, but they still weren't leaving my village alive.

No-- not even a slight moment would pass that I would give them the opportunity to recuperate. My clone, having been positioned to the side and on the buildings, would take off as soon as his eyes (Sharingan) alerted him of our's opponent's intention of fleeing backwards. With some carefully timed and directed shunshins - done at an angle to bring him around the right side of the tornado - he made his descent towards our opponents.

By the time full sight of them had been established again he would be at the side of the tornado. Having already withdrawn what appeared to be but a simple marked elongated kunai¹, it would be tossed, low and with as much power as possible, toward's the underside Tsuchikage's spider. Being that it was still nighttime and they would just be getting most of their sight back now, the jet-black projectile would likely go unnoticed.

Meanwhile, whilst my clone headed to engage my opponents I headed towards the direction of my fire. Once right next to it (About 13 meters ahead), I stopped and watched as it continued to grow unstable, daring to burn even more of my mostly vacated village. Was this the price of war?

I rubbed my eyes, disregarding for once the smudging of my liner and mascara. He had us on the run, no longer were we the ones invading, instead we were forced back, parrying his attack. My vision was returning, still a tad hazy, but it was a relief. In time to see the Kazekage leaping down from buildings towards us. Where had that fire come from? It certainly hadn't originated from him, had it? Regardless, it still blazed up before us, and Atropos was furious at the pain she was sustaining. Silk flew from her mouth, binding her legs and putting out any fire that had remained on her hairy limbs.

Clotho attacked in her sister's stead. As the Kazekage made himself visible, closing the distance between us, she fired off a large web, aiming to capture him. I knew of course of his eyes, his heritage, and the perception they afforded him, but we'd never let up in our assault. As Clotho attacked, Rosa was already beginning handseals, while i raised my own hands, letting ten lengths of silk spiral from under my bright red nails.

Where were our reinforcements? Were they finding that much resistance from Sunagakure's shinobi? I was frustrated, and more than a little unnerved. My web danced about me, not yet seeking the Kazekage's body.
"While you fight us, the rest of your village is being sacked. You can't save any of them, can you, my dear?" I taunted, smiling my trademark crimson smile, despite the danger.

I had to buy time. I had to keep him busy. I had to survive.

Sorry for taking so long to post, just got my hands on a computer. My desktop died recently but I'm having someone bring it back to life hehe, but yeah. I'll post more frequently sorry about that guys. Enjoy.

Instead of us having the fight under our control it was the other way entirely. The Kazekage had pushed us back, including the Giant Spider that we were currently on top of. There was nothing I could do for now, I was never a long range fighter. I had a few techniques in my book but they couldn't cover the range necessary to destroy and obliterate the Kazekage.

Regardless I had to try, I wasn't going to let Coco die and I'd at least preserve her life while the reinforcements were coming. As my vision came back to me I noticed the kazekage continue to run towards us. I didn't know what to make of this, I knew there was someone else in the vicinity as well but I just didn't know where to look. Withdrawing a clothed projectile from my bag I'd fling it towards the incoming aggressor.

The moment it came close to his faux body, my hands formed one seal and instantly came about an explosion that would surely give us some time if anything. I continued to make hand seals¹ as we waited on the reinforcements.

The fires created from Max and Bass’s combined efforts paled in comparison to the fires ravaging what many would consider to be “central” Sunagakure. It fanned out like a tsunami, swallowing all beneath its fiery waves and leaving not but ash and ruination in its wake. Even as jaded as the Iwa-nin was, the demonstration, admiteddly, sent a shiver up his spine.

Was it fear? Was it excitement? Perhaps both? It'd been a long time since Bass had seen any level of destruction remotely close to this, and the promise of a worthy opponent was almost enough to make his mouth water. Just what kind of jutsu was this? Unfortunately, there wasn't much time to gaze in awe.

He had acting to do.

With his new headband already fastened squarely upon his forehead, the newly turned Sunagakure Chuunin descended from the skies. The monstrous fires offered far more light than his previous setting, and the buildings succumbing to them (with all of their flammable substances inside) only added to their ferocity. It made seeing, in some situations, a lot easier; it might as well have been the middle of the day if you were there.

With his tracker, still active, he spotted a man he didn’t recognize near the flames; he stood with all the regality of a king and stoic reflection of a god. Perhaps he was the Kazekage? There was only one way to find out. “Kazekage-sama!” Bass shouted as he neared, his voice loud enough to easily be heard over the roar of the flames. Positioned at Nagato’s rear flank (directly behind him) as he lowered on his bird, its mouth slightly ajar, Bass kept a comfortable (but extremely casual) distance (3m) between him and his “lord.”

“Are ya hurt?” Pausing, he wiped a smear of blood away from the corner of his lips. Bass’s clothes were ragged and torn, a display best fit for someone who’d barely escaped with their lives. Then, his eyes slid to the catastrophe before him, but keeping the Kazekage in his lower peripherals.

“I only got a bit o’clay left,” Bass’s voice was genuine as his hands dipped into their pouches, though not to feed his hand-mouths. “But I think I can take ‘em out with one good bomb or two.”

Thankfully, Bass had passed the captive Suna-nin off to one of the many other Iwa-nin conquering the village before arriving. The last thing he needed was for her to wake up at that point in time. “So, what’s tha plan?”

This was war; it wasn't a battle of numbers, but rather a game of a chess. Strategy was all that was needed to win battles, and I - having several wars and battles under my belt - was far more experienced in such methods than almost all of Iwagakure's forces. This was my specialty-- my domain; had the Tsuchikage really not expected such an outcome?

Having previous seen the extent at which her spiders could spew out webs, my clone was more than prepared when the smaller of the two summons initiated her attack. Seeing the web making it's descent towards him, but a simple leap off the ledge of the building he was running upon would bring him below and out the way of the attack, having jumped in between the crevice formed by the two adjacent buildings - or so he would make them think.

As soon as all vision of his dimly lit form was lost, he vanished completely, my prowess over my Hiraishin art allowing him to transcend space and time. When he next reappeared he would be directly below the Tsuchikage's large spider, his previous thrown kunai - having been marked with a shiki - allowing him to warp instantly to it¹. For now he just remained there, lurking beneath the rather large animal and ensuring he kept his presence hidden.

'Kazekage-sama, there's someone approaching you from behind you. He seems to be riding a bird of sorts, most likely made from clay.' Rika called into the mic, her active Byakugan granting her the perception that allowed her to view everything around us - it was why I had brought her here. 'I don't recognize his chakra signature but he appears to be one of your shinobi.'

'It's fine. Keep an eye out; we are at war, we can't afford to drop our guard.' I answered back. With my hands positioned infront of me, a single hand seal was etched, birthing another likeness of myself directly behind me². 'Make sure I'm not interrupted, Rika.' My hands were already going about formulating more handseals by the time the man called at me from his bird; like Rika, I did not recognize him. Whoever he was, friend or foe, he was about to bare witness to the real reason why I was chosen as the Kazekage.

With my handseals finished, another kunai was moved down my sleeve - it, too, was marked with one of my seals. Pressing it infront of me, it drew the raging tornado of fire into it's center, sucking it in like a vacuum of sorts. It would continue to do this until there was nothing left, leaving just the fire that had spread to the many buildings around it. It might have appeared as if it was gone for good, but that couldn't have been farther from the truth.

I was merely moving it to another location, and unfortunately for the Tsuchikage, that location was exactly beneath her. There would be no running from it this time, for it was warped directly to my first clone - which, being more than just a stationary hiraishin kunai - was capable of following her if she decided to run³.

Meanwhile my second clone remained behind me, watching and gazing at my 'shinobi' with more curiosity than suspicion. "I have this area covered, so there's no need for you to waste chakra. Rather, I need you to do something for me." My clone answered, his eyes meeting the man's; regardless, he could still see everything about him with much clarity. "Bring to me the former Kazekage, Raizel. His skills would be particularly beneficial to our forces, and with your bird you can reach him the fastest. Do it fast, understood?"

Once marked, the user can then activate the jutsu, allowing them instant teleportation to the chosen mark. No matter where the opponent goes, the Flying Thuder God can simply travel to the mark and end them. Description: An advanced form of Hiraishin only capable to be used by those who have mastered the art. Much like it's normal form, the user first needs to mark their destination with a shiki (rite). Once marked, anything that comes in contact with it instantly is warped to any other rite the user has active. By doing that, the user can send the attack to anywhere they wish, assuming that place is marked, essentially avoiding an attack in a whole.

Rika, having just moved away earlier, is ten meters to my left, hiding in the shadows. My second clone is directly behind me, almost back-to-back, and despite it's commentary having been placed at the bottom of my post, that would occur whilst Sora is in the process of using his technique.

Also, being that a Shadow Clone is an exact copy of it's creator (Down to weapons and such), it has Hiraishin seals on it's person, too. Just wanted to clarify all of this.

I frowned. If anything, this war would merely serve to bring me wrinkles, and certainly a few grey hairs. He'd slipped down, out of sight, between the buildings perhaps? Regardless, i was growing frustrated. His style of fighting was obnoxious. It lacked grace and delicacy! I was still entirely unaware whether this was the real Kazekage, but i was beginning to have my doubts. The fire, the wind, i supposed everything could merely be additions from his supporting shinobi, but i wouldn't put such trickery past the man.

I let my threads drift upwards, as they were apparently unneeded in capturing him. Gently, my heels left Atropos's back, and i let a single thread cling to Clotho as i floated upwards. She leaped off of her sister's back, and onto the building nearest us, and i followed, hovering about ten meters above her. The problem with my method of flight was its lack of control, which was the reason i required dear Clotho's assistance.
"I never did enjoy the hunt," i called loudly, "i much prefer it when my prey comes to me."

We were some distance from Atropos now, as i needed to be above the area he'd disappeared, in order to peer down this gap, or wherever he'd vanished to. It was dark yes, but the flames gave us enough light to - the flames? It had suddenly grown awfully dark, who could've extinguished them? And then, without warning, i heard the screams.

Atropos, upon the eruption of fire beneath her, had automatically reacted with her golden armour, but it was apparent that it would not be enough. However, she was not going to disappear without spiting the Kazekage. She collapsed downwards, all gold and strength, smothering the flames. Of course the fire was stronger than she, even with her armour, but her size and strength were more than enough to impede the flames, albeit only momentarily.

I cried out, launching a thread at Rosa, and one too at Jin, had he not saved himself already. Atropos was now a burning shell amid the flames, and her armour was heating incredibly. But i plucked the two from her back, setting them down atop the building where the Kazekage had disappeared. Scarcely a second later, there was a puff of smoke, and my dear summon vanished from the fire. She would be resting with her family, wounded, but very much alive.

"How on earth!" I cried, dropping from the air to stand with Rosa and Clotho. The fire had moved? Been relocated beneath our very feet? What manner of tricks this man possessed! We would have to be very much on our guard.

Description: Kumo Nenkin no Yoroi is a true testament of the sticky gold fluid's true strength. Taking advantage of their body's ability to create a form of metal through their sticky gold, the Sasanagi is able to create an armor shell to protect their body. Without needing seals, the user emits their kumo nenkin from their mouth and sweat glands. When the liquid hits the air, it instantly hardens, creating the armor. This can form a barrier against an opponent who attacks physically, to the point the user can even defend their internal chakra systems from chakra-sucking styles such as the 'Gentle Fist'.

Handseals were swiftly formed as we stood quietly atop of the spider, looking directly at the Kazekage himself. However, in a moment's notice his body had disappeared almost like a magician making someone vanish. What kind of technique did he use? All I knew was that the Tsuchikage was not staying to find out as she herself jumped away from the spider and hovered in the air. I stood observing the area, and staring into the beautiful, but dangerous fire.

Almost instantly the fire also vanished from place, and within seconds I felt my skin burning away from my bones. Sadly, my body would be replaced with a boulder from atop of the roof opposite of where Rika was (the building in front of where your clone was).

There were boulders that laid on the ground, and on the roofs of the buildings that were the size of an average human or even larger.

As I watched in amazement as the fire began to rage on from beneath the spider. This man was definitely a formidable foe.

Moments later the spider finally disappeared from view while the Tsuchikage and her combatants stood on the building right next to mine. What was next to come?

Knowing that the most important part of keeping a cover believable was listening, Bass did just that. While some shinobi might've been jumpy, or anxious, being this close to their target, Bass was cooler than a cucumber on ice. He waited, patiently, until the man (and his clone) had finished what they saying or doing. Then, with his guard still up and ready for anything, the play continued.

"I know we're at war," he started out with a hint of agitation in his voice, "But this ain't tha time ta be playin' games, Kazekage-sama! We both know that was ya' cover for when ya was in hidin' and keepin' ya identity a secret!" Fortunately, Soratsu had chosen a rather poor test to see whether or not the man at his flank was one of his own.

Unlike the majority of the information pertaining to Hidden Villages, the names the Kages (and often times their picture) were commonplace. The events at the Summit had proven to be rather disastrous for Soratsu's overall scheme. Oh, if only his co-conspirator hadn't outed him all those weeks ago... Bass would've probably been a dead son of a bitch.

By the time he'd finished what he had to say, Bass was practically yellin'. Faking, of course, but it sounded good enough to be genuine. "Now, I pass ya lil' test with flyin' colors!" He hoped, that is. "Is ya goin' to give me some real orders, or can ya handle these folks by yaself; I can do recon and get anyone else who is injured outta here, or I can help ya blow these motherfuckas ta smithereens! " He gestured to the flames. "It don't look like ya'll gonna leave even a bit of the village standin'!"

He'd kept his previous distance the entire time, waiting for the opening.

Based on what is written and how it is written, Jin's defense of a Kawaimari is unable to save him. His phrasing implies that he waited for the fire to surround him before trying to make a switch, meaning he would have to run through the fire twice in order to make the switch.

Also, without making a reference to Daisy's strings, he is unable to use them as a fallback in order to escape. Play resumes with Naga, IIC on hold while Daisy is on an island in the sun.

Though my clone wouldn't have known that the Tsuchikage had fled from her large summon just before it was about to be lit on fire, I, on the other hand, was privy to such knowledge. Whilst my fire was transported directly to Atropos, leaving the area that directly separated the Tsuchikage and myself obscured mostly with darkness, I took the opportunity to follow in pursuit of my target.

It wasn't a far distance to transcend, so as the screams from one of my opponents - I was oblivious to who it belonged to - erupted from up ahead, I would have already reached the bottom of the building the Tsuchikage hovered over, and where my clone had just previously been. Much like I had done so earlier, I clung to the sides of the buildings as I proceeded, allowing the shadows to once again overtake my form and obscure any indication of my advancing presence.

During this a single soldier pill was consumed, the extreme drain that came with using Hiraishin multiple times in such a short period having caused me to sacrifice most of my natural chakra pool. I needed to have it all back at my disposal, for what I was about to do would require an abundance of it. I could already feel artificial charka seeping through my veins and my body by the time I closed my left eye -- the pull, the ferocity that came with it allowing me to unlock a power I hadn't yet had a chance to test.

The pain, too, was almost unbearable. I felt the soft tingling sensation of blood pooling within the socket; my pupil shaking in the center of my eye, the strain forced upon it never felt before. With it the eye was opened and the blood released, the liquid cascading down my face as I manifested fire from the pits of hell with just a simple thought:

It was released, instantly¹. Coalescing with the darkness' embrace, the fire soared through the air, it's obscured and extremely agile nature allowing it to pierce the distance between me and the Tsuchikage within moments. With her turned and focused on saving her brethren (You wouldn't be facing forward while trying to grab them from the side/behind you), and considering the fact that darkness had consumed the area around us, she would not even see it coming.

Even if she did-- perhaps, even if she decided to try and avoid it, I wouldn't let her. I would direct it, using the prediction and analysis abilities of my Mangekyou Sharingan, to ensure it hit her. If Rosa was in a close enough proximity, she too would fall victim. If not, well-- I would offer her a one way ticket to hell as well.²

Special: The "perfect" and truly final stage of the Sharingan, the Mangekyou Sharingan is, without a doubt, the most powerful manifestation of the dojutsu. This stage of the eye allows the user to pierce all s-rank genjutsu and below, and predict and comprehend all s-rank taijutsu and below, as well. Furthermore, the user is also capable of catching brief glimpses of movements x6 the speed of your average shinobi. Keep in mind that regardless of foresight and prediction, in order to avoid incoming attacks, the Uchiha's speed, agility and RP ability will ultimately control whether they can move to avoid it. Furthermore, obtaining this eye reduces the cost to activate the standard Sharingan to one low worth of chakra, with the cost to sustain it remaining the same.
Description: The final evolution to Sharingan, and is said to be the greatest level of Sharingan in existence. Mangekyou is not one form but many, manifesting uniquely in each of the user's eyes. Powerful enough to be said to have at one point controlled the Nine Tailed Demon Fox, very few in the history of the clan and the shinobi world have been able to achieve this level of power and control over their bloodline. But once they do, a whole new wealth of power is obtained. On top of the bonus attack each evolution has, MS doubles and even triples every form of potential a 3 tomoe Sharingan may have.

Chakra: x3 High.
Special: Amaterasu fires as a relatively fast moving projectile, starting from shortly in front of the user toward the target. This technique causes severe damage to the retina, causing the user to bleed from the eye used to cast this technique and severely hindering their eyesight. The initial gout of black flame generated by the eye can be guided (as demonstrated in the manga), and upon contacting a surface, expands rapidly, burning anything and everything in its path. These flames are capable of burning through many, if not all, barriers and defenses. Likewise, it can eat through and overpower most offensive jutsu as well (especially katon).
Description: Amaterasu, named for the Goddess of the Sun, is a Ninjutsu technique which uses the Mangekyou form of the Sharingan eye in order to create the most powerful black fire known to man. This jutsu is generated by the Mangekyou eye. It has been said that anything within the Mangekyou's vision will burn to ash if consumed by the fire. The fire itself is said to burn for 7 days and 7 nights. The jet-black flames of the Amaterasu, said to be the fires from hell that are as hot as the sun, ignite at the focus of the user's vision, making the attack nearly unavoidable. Though it is regarded as the strongest of Mangekyou's physical attacks, usage of the ability will degrade the eye further and lead the user to blindness.

"Thank goodness!" I said, a hand on Rosa's hair, relief in my eyes.
"But Jin..." I murmured, my eyes darkening. I couldn't help think of my people. My shinobi, scattered about this village. How many more had fallen? Had i simply led them to their deaths? Our victory was looking less and less plausible as the Kazekage hounded me relentlessly, and for the first time, i considered fleeing. There were still who knows how many enemies in the vicinity, and Nagato showed no signs of tiring or letting up.

I shook my head slightly. I could do nothing but press forwards. Always. From the light of the immense flames, now nearby, Clotho spotted the threat before i did. Shooting up the side of the building, a new fire, one that burned fear into her little heart. It if hadn't had to fly vertically to traverse the thick stone wall of the building we perched on, there would've been no way to avoid it. Rosa gave a scream, and threw herself at me, throwing me bodily backwards with all her strength, even as the fire first licked at her back.

My thickly rimmed eyes widened in horror, watching, as if in slow motion, her begin to burn as i hurtled back, away from the fire. She'd thrown me along the roof, and i turned from her. Turned from her screams, and i ran. As powerful as this fire undoubtedly was, there was still a thick stone building between where it originated, and myself. It seemed to have no difficulty skirting the stone and moving as if of its own free will, but it gave me time, time i desperately needed. I dropped down the other side of the building it had risen over, and kept running.

My mind was racing, as fast as my designer heels. Some innate instinct told me that nothing would protect me from that flame. Considering the strength of his previous fire, it was only natural to assume this one was more powerful. And it was black! What kind of fire was black? My heels pounded down an alleyway. Could it truly follow me? Just who controlled it? I launched silk ahead of me, swinging from a building to increase my pace.

I thought of nothing else. Just running.

You specifically say you stick to the sides of the buildings, while i am atop one. Therefor, your Amaterasu has to shoot up vertically, before it can shoot towards me, as you say it flew through the air, and not like trying to go through the building or anything;

Incidentally, given the immense size of your previous flames, and their not really long distance from us, vision of the Amaterasu is completely plausible. You don't state which side of the building you're on, nor your proximity to me, so i think that gives me enough space and time to get down the opposite side of it, even if Rosa had to sacrifice herself!

Additionally, the last time you yourself moved, you were 13 meters in front of the initial flames and as they were 30 meters in size, you're at least 40 from me. That's a long distance to say;

It wasn't a far distance to transcend,

So overall, i think my escape is valid! (Though Sharingan/Amaterasu hax can prolly follow me regardless, scumbag. x)
