From the distance we originally stood, more than twenty meters away, the entity's figure was almost undiscerning, and it was almost as if a mesmeric force motivated our feet to shorten the range, and obediently we did. Within a matter of a seconds, the entrance had fully emerged, and right before our eyes stood another freak of nature – a scrawny male who displayed civil decency in his clothing, but the attributes of his face was undeniably horrific. Disregarding the suspicious taint of reddish colour on his peculiar boots, and I was damn-near certain that this specimen had to exhibit some knowledge about the littered corpse and the strange happenings within Sunagakure's sewers. However, such questioning would have to wait as I decided to follow his initial directive before crushing his skull into fragments, proceeding through the foreboding gateway into another expansive room, which refused to lessen the amount of revulsion we had encountered already. Cautious, I halted no more than three meters from the strange man and his table, and I couldn't help but squench as I examined the welcomed territory, not a single eye capable of remaining planted on a specific location before shifting from one apprehensive perception to another. Torched human hands, skin-padded chairs, plates made from bone, and dead... children?! This was quite the spectacle, and the thought of not being able to witness a creepier sight proved me wrong once again. The natural energy of the desert lands that boiled within me before suppressed itself from the sheer awe that overcame me, but suddenly that shock would be replaced with an intense rage, inflamed and shivering with burning malevolence that this was occurring right under our feet. Not a single fuck was given anymore for this man's lack of company nor what courses he had planned for our arrival, I could only envision his blood staining the walls in consequence for the trifling crimes he had committed. Could it be that the murderous design of the labyrinth was beginning to influence my state of mind as well?! Sporadically, the thought of the sounds we heard before reminded me of the fact that although a potential suspect had finally been unearthed, he certainly wasn't the only one. There had to be more death-ridden cretins infesting the sewers of Sunagakure, and I would make sure to exterminate them all, even if the imprisoning sandstorm had subsided. This was officially war. "Y-You monster..." Unbeknown to the untrained eye, a surge of immense spiritual energy ricocheted from my tenketsu into the surrounding earth, an inch-deep of the ground instantaneously degenerating into refined silica particles, which spread ten meters in a spherical formation, the transformation barely penetrating far enough to shatter our foundation. Chaotic, senseless, maddening speech reverberated from the aggressive blonde, and it appeared that the abnormal surroundings had driven him insane, but there was a subtle truth in his words alone, and it was obvious that we shared a similar emotion: vengeance. Unfortunately for the devilish gentleman, his expectations of fine dining would have to be ruined in the face of the Human Sandstorm, but one final chance for redemption would be given. "That's enough, I've had it with this crazy-ass shit. I don't give a flying fuck about dining... plain and simple, you have ten seconds to explain what the hell is going on here... or your head will be next to be plastered on these walls... start talking, now." The man near which the master of sand stood suddenly dispersed into a cloud of smoke with a loud poof, sound ringing through the room, echoing for several moments. It took little effort, nor talent to notice that they were looking upon a shadow clone – a simple figment wrought from chakra, volatile, yet still highly capable for it possessed the same abilities as the user, but here, there was no more need for that. After all, the clone had been dismissed, but for what purpose exactly? Would it not have been more wise to continue to trick these foolish adventurers who have wandered into depths, into terrors that the human mind is simply not meant to see?

One by one, the body from the ceilings erupted, previously unseen exploding tags hidden under their clothing triggered with a series of seals by a hidden assailant. The wretched sound of breaking bone and tearing flesh was drowned by the roar of the explosion – but that was the only thing hidden. The blood that followed was within full view as it poured upon the ground from the porn bodies, forming pools so thick that it seemed almost as if the room was flooded with the damned, crimson liquid. For some moments, the blood dropped in a manner akin to rain, accompanied by legs, arms, heads, livers, lungs, and a variety of other organs torn free from the explosions that rung out only moments ago.

A voice rung out, mighty, sardonic, and utterly taunting. ”Ah, how foolish to defy me. You cling to your…petty sense of what you believe to be the drive for vengeance, a courage manifesting itself deep within your senses. You are wrong, boy, it is only your doom that you will have here, as you hang from the ceiling, your mother and father by your side.”

With the sound of the falling blood, limbs, and organs clashing onto the grounds, neither of you could identify the origin of the voice – you can be certain that it was within this room, but the exact location you did not know. The falling hell from above also covered a second happening – thick masses of paper that fluttered in the air, simply afloat as they swayed from side to side, only meters from both of the shinobi.

Then you heard a sound that pierced it all.

A sound most wretched.

A sound most unsettling.

A bone chilling bellow, a combination of a roar and cry. So mighty that it caused the very grounds to shake.

Yeah, unfortunately that is true, this thread had a good run in correspondence to the previous thread for a month, which is hard for a lot of people to maintain sometimes. I don't think anyone was expecting the adventure to take this long, and I had expectations of it ending up at a dead end like this, but this adventure was nonetheless fun and interesting in the least.

I want to thank Katsumaru especially for not only taking this up, but making it into something that I had never RPed before, nor had I expected to. I'm going to officially drop out of this thread for good, because the muse I had for it has lost. For everyone else, you can post a leave as well, or continue the adventure if you are still interested with Katsumaru. Thanks again, guys.

I don't want this hardwork and plot-advancement to go to waste, though. As the new Kazekage, expect something similar to this event to occur in the near future...
