The trio all brandished white-robes and feline-esque masks, perched in a back-to-back triangular formation upon the highest structure the village held: the Kazekage tower. Situated at the heart of the village, the trio of ANBU could see all that transpired beneath high-hanging sun. A small gathering of people pooled at the base of the tower, lookin' to the foreigners with a perplexed expression. "People of Sunagakure," a voice boomed out over the raging winds, clear to all that would lend their ears. "I have come to usher you into a grand new era, the likes of which has never before been seen. I shall lead you all to greatness - I shall succeed where all your former Kages have failed." Such promises were more than enough to excite even the youngest of persons, pulling more and more to the sea of bodies. After all, what did they have to lose? "However, should you refuse--" he paused for a very melodramatic moment, "I shall leave nothing but ruins in my wake. The choice is yours."

[atrb=style, background: transparent; padding 0px; cell spacing: 4px; opacity: 0.9] with no kazekage in place once more revoting had begun, but once more also had it left the village hidden in the sand in dissaray, allowing just about anyone entrance to the village. though this is not to say that word would not spread about new comers, especially odd looking ones. as such, with being a candidate for the kazekage for the second time in his still young life, daichi began making his way to meet these cloaked figures with clone* at his side, though their appearance was copied from the late kazekage todai. though as they neared the three the duo would find themselves pausing as a means to take in the words of the new comers. from this a grin grew on daichi's face, even with the slight annoyance of the cockiness from the new guys' words. as such he and his clone of todai would launch themselves from the roof tops and landing on the streets below, about ten meters from the three new comers who brandished pearly white clothing. a grin still brandished on his face daichi spoke quickly. "so you think you can provide the hidden sand village what others could not? how so broskies?"

Clearly no one of any real importance, Kouketsu's initial response was to simply shrug him off. However, a brilliant idea dawned upon him; he'd make an example out of this fool, were he brave enough to actually take the bait. "If you think that I'm bluffing, and you're bold enough to call it," almost as if on queue, the two figures to either of the speaking ANBU's sides retrieved a pair of kunai; one for each hand, "then by all means, come." Strangely, despite his well known prowess, there wasn't a hint of arrogance in Kouketsu's voice. He was offering these people a genuine chance to become something more than the backwater, shoddy village they'd sunken to. There was once a time when Sunagakure was feared as one of the most capable and powerful villages in the world. And now? It barely managed a seat above the lesser, third-world villages like Grass and Snow. "However, if not, then prepare to reap the rewards of your diligence."

[atrb=style, background: transparent; padding 0px; cell spacing: 4px; opacity: 0.9] their response lacked any hint of ego despite a challenge being thrown down. which caused daichi to tilt his head slightly, his grin fading as he raised a brow. this brought him back to when he was challenged by the former kazekage known as yuri, who backed out of the spar and then dropped their kazekage title leaving it to be taken by todai, a now dead friend of daichi. thinking over the option for a fight he took in the sight of two of the masked and robed men weilding two kunai, one each. his grin back in place he raised his hands slightly in the air. "your going to bring bigger and better thing to the village by fighting? ha, i like that idea. but, i'd rather you fight my buddy here, after all he's bit more skilled than myself."

and almost as soon as his words had ended daichi's silent clone of todai launched itself forward like a arrow fired from a bow. drawing two kunai that held a long length of nigh invisible wire between each of their loops it aimed itself at the cloaked figure on the left of the group. aiming to stab them under the chin before crouching and aiming to slice at their achille's tendon. to which it'd then prepare itself to take on the other figure who had drawn a kunai.

It'd take more than a handful of seconds, a window in which several seals were hastily blurred1. Unfortunately for Suna shinobi's carbon copy, the stab aimed at the left ANBU's chin chin was met with a raging torrent of water that would've instantly engulfed its figure whole. The sheer pressure from the torrential waves would've been enough to instantly crush his bones, mercilessly slamming him against the building's wall as it free-fell to the floor below. The clone, likely as it was struck, would've been nothing more. Yet, the waves didn't stop. The continued to expand and fan out, flooding the streets and sweeping away those unfortunate enough to be caught in its merciless grasp. The ANBU to the right lunged from the building then, landing upon the makeshift pillar of towering waves. The conjurer, however, remained by the middle ANBU's side. "Satisfied?" [atrb=style, background: transparent; padding 0px; cell spacing: 4px; opacity: 0.9] shit they were fast. but, they were ignorant to the true potential of the clone. for just as the water jutsu came crashing into them had their elemental resistance to the water came into existence. and though while the pressure would send them reeling, they'd land on a nearby roof top, showing no signs of damage. all the while daichi made his way to a rooftop top as well as to avoid the water jutsu himself. "i told you that kid was good."

[/color] and with daichi's word spoken his clone of todai had chosen to put away it's weapons for now as it worked hand seals for it's own plan. splitting into two the cloned todai now had a clone of itself next to it's side. now with it's own clone it launched itself back into the fray, the two todai clones aiming to go separate ways. one going after the robed figure atop the waves with it's retractable wrist blade at the ready and chakra fed to it's feet to avoid falling into the water below, while the other dashed across the roof tops began making it's way back to the other two, it's wired kunai back in their respective hands. even with this going on, daichi himself sensed that his clones would fail.

He'd clearly over estimated his paper clone's ability due to it having water resistance? Pathetic. Having a resistance to water simply meant that the paper wouldn't get wet; it wouldn't get soggy and dissolve after being submerged. However, it did nothing to resist the incalculable force of a tsunami essentially turning into a waterfall at point black range. His delusion that his clone would be able to simply "jump" out of the tidal wave that had completely swallowed him, inadvertently plucked him from the roof and literally crushed his body beneath the weight, force, and pressure of the water pinning him against the merciless earth beneath, was somethin' you'd read in a child's book. The force tugging and pulling on the clone's body was not its own, and lacking the unnatural strength it would take to fight the savage currents, he would continue to be swept through the village (and slammed against structures with enough force to shatter bones and tear limbs). There wouldn't be anything left of his clone. Everything else would have occurred as previously stated. "Was he?" the middle ANBU inquired. "I didn't notice." "ha, nice one. good to see you guys aren't just talk. i'm daichi by the way, welcome broskies!"

Kouketsu had made his point rather obvious, and if there were any other that dared challenge them, he'd make sure that it wasn't a clone that he slaughtered next. The raging waters of the previous technique subsided, and the bunshin upon the highest peak jumped back to the triangle-formation at the top of the tower. They'd patiently await any other challengers.

[atrb=style, background: transparent; padding 0px; cell spacing: 4px; opacity: 0.9] wait...what the fuck was he thinking? just letting some random ass group of cloaked screw jobs come in and take over? shaking his head daichi snapped into reality, he wasn't going to swallow his pride just to escape possible death, that wasn't him. he was a man. he was a shinobi of the hidden sand village and he had swore to keep her safe, and if that meant giving his life to fend off some invaders so be it. gritting his teeth he spit at the three, though it'd have no chance in hell of reaching them due to the distance between them, which was about twenty meters. his hands clapping together they'd work like organized soldiers and form the needed seals for daichi to clone todai once more. in doing so they'd pair with each other with one kunai each, with twenty feet of ninja wire between the kunai, tied off at each kunai's loop. though they wouldn't move yet, for daichi forced his kunai handle into the grip of his teeth as he began forming more hand seals, his clone of todai doing the same. yeah, daichi wasn't going to stand by and let these invaders...invade.

Either of the two carbon copies to the Kazekage's side prepared for battle, yet yielded as the newly formed trio landed several feet shy of their new leader, backs faced toward him. Though he didn't know it then, their names were: Shi, Hou, and Zou. Each of the three possessed a unique talent, the likes of which were relatively secret to most of the village. Shi, the young lady of the group, pointed in Daichi's direction. "Ya', best be calmin' your ass down, son." She couldn't have been older than twelve, but spoke with a commanding tone frequent among Jounin. It's likely that the other two, were as well. "Sure, he ain't a sand ninja, but you actin' like our leaders before we anythin' fancy. He mopped ya' with a water clone, but ya' still want more?" Clearly, Daichi's resolve was his own. The people below, those that hadn't been swept away by the previous waves, all chanted in agreement. To go against the white-robed figure now would be considered an act of treason. There was not vote - no poll to take. Kouketsu was now the Kazekage. "Don't you ever shut up?" Hou added, bopping the young girl on top of the head. "This is adult time - keep yer trap--" "Both of you shut up," Zou interjected. A single eye rested on Daichi then, continuing his speech. "You're a shinobi of the sand, and your duty is to obey the Kazekage regardless of where they hail from. Power is the only thing that will restore Sunagakure to its former state of glory, and this man clearly possesses a great deal of it." Zou paused for only a moment while glancing over his shoulder at the masked-men behind him. "If you insist on this foolish crusade, boy, you'll force our hand. We will protect the Kazekage at all costs."

[atrb=style, background: transparent; padding 0px; cell spacing: 4px; opacity: 0.9] as he and his clone of todai continued to form hand seals the sight of three sand shinboi appearing before the three invaders caught daichi's sight. though they'd soon catch his hearing as well as he and todai's clone still worked hand seals. they would defend these three so quickly? raising a brow he shook his head as he and todai's clone ended their hand seals. they had completed their work, and now all they had to do was launch their onslaught. mumbling his words he spoke words that would be slightly difficult to cipher. "fffmuck' ohfff' trahyytores!"

[/color] growling with the kunai handle still in his bite he and todai's clone launcher their speedy attacks. from todai's clone and daichi came forth massive waves of paper that held many hidden properties. combining side by side to make one large wide spread wave it sped forward at high speeds at the six on the slightly [about three meters higher] roof top. all the while daichi and todai's clone dropped their kunai to their respective hands before running to their left, after all their combined attack came more so from the right [so the six's left], so if the six down below were to dodge they'd most likely flee to the right, right? daichi wouldn't allow invader and traitors to go unpunished. yet he'd have to do so quickly.

Kouketsu would be lying if he said that he was surprised. The kid looked like the type to cause problems; they type of tool that would pointlessly throw their lives away for the sake of some non-existent moral that they clung to. However, the newly appointed Kazekage didn't even need to lift his finger; the three shinobi before him already had the situation entirely under control. In the time it would've taken Daichi to finish his sentence and unleash his double-assault (the clone's included), Zou had already sped through a series of his own1. Surprisingly, he didn't require a clone to counter with a two-pronged assault. From either of his two appendages came massive waves of paper identical to their opponents, clashing mid-way through their travel across the twenty meters the separated them. The result would be a stalemate, causing the ocean of paper to fill the streets near the Kazekage tower. Shi's hands weren't idle in the slightest, and while the paper met its match against an identical wall, an eerie mist hastily rolled in2. It encompassed an incomprehensible amount of distance (100 meters), testament to her mastery of suiton based ninjutsu. The abundance of water from the Kazekage clone's baku suishouha would've only added to the thickness, reducing mundane visibility to absolute zero. Daichi would be runnin' to the left blind, as would his clone; unfortunately, his enemies weren't in the same. With the mist settled, her hands once again formed a single seal3: Shi's sensory abilities flared to life, almost forming a makeshift dome as it expanded easily beyond a twenty meter threshold. Tracking the paper-boy and his clone would've been too easy, and she called out to Hou: "Eleven o'clock!" Hou hadn't moved from his position, nor had he performed any spectacular jutsu. Instead, he'd simply gripped the handle of the massive axe on his back and remained perfectly still. Where his body seemed almost frozen, his mind was busy at work, readily peelin' away the layers of restraints on his mind, body and soul4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

[atrb=style, background: transparent; padding 0px; cell spacing: 4px; opacity: 0.9] shit what was this? another shikigami? gritting his teeth he'd watch as their waves crashed into each other. yet even then daichi wouldn't make it easy for once the four waves met, he'd form the basic seal that would cause his and todai's clones to explode into a massive cloud of death. though it threatened no one really. running along various roof tops daichi and his clone of todai aimed to get closer and closer to the six above before they finally reached the roof top directly next to it. and with a simple three meter jump the two would stand fifteen feet apart, kunai in their respective hands as a thin wire was fed between them. "just fucking die!"

[/color] charging forward they'd have to use taijutsu for daichi found himself with low chakra reserves, as such he'd have to end this fight quickly. being the back up for his speedy clone of todai daichi hopped into the fray. though they'd have a difficult time finding any of their six enemies as a heavy mist was surrounding all of them and a large area at that. growling daichi found himself slashing about wildly like a tornado after drawing his jian and unleashing a sequence of attacks that aimed to not only be offensive, but hopefully defensive as well. with the clone of todai doing the same.

However, even the fastest of shinobi paled in comparison to the velocity in which Hou could get from a to b. Taijutsu wasn't a ring you wanted to step in with him, and he was ready to show the world why. The very moment Daichi and his clone landed on the building to the left, a voice called out: "Nine o'clock!" Considerin' the mist had settled in while the two waves of paper had met each other, it was a miracle that Daichi and his clone even managed to get on top of a building at all. Unfortunately, it'd be his downfall in the end, gettin' that close. Suddenly, the mist dulled (Shi released the technique), though it would've been far too late. Fueled by the fury of the seventh gate, Hou erased the distance between himself and his newly acquired target at a speed truly incapable of being defined by numbers (700% bonus). The swing that accompanied burst of speed would've cleaved the boy in half, the massive axe passing through his body in one fell swoop. It would've happened so fast that the fat in his body would've ignited from the intense friction, turning his body into nothing more burning pyre for a broken dynasty. The poor boy wouldn't have even had time to draw his blade - his hand would've just been finding its handle when his world went black. A trail of fire marked the path Hou had traveled, each step he'd left caved into the roofs violently ablaze. The fight was over.
