She didn't have a clue.
Kirino had been correct in her assessment of the snake as "undesirable" when they had first met, so to speak. This knowledge did nothing to comfort her as the beast towered over both Kirino and Ashura, poised to strike. Clueless as to how she was to react to such a sight, Kirino gave the snake a puzzled look, as if to ask, "the fuck did I do?" She hadn't wanted to ride on the damn thing in the first place. The whole situation was irritating and stressful, Kirino quickly forgetting she was about to literally die if she didn't do something quick.
Fortunately, Ashura was a bit quicker on his feet. The boy seemed to effortlessly lift Kirino (which confused her as well, as she most certainly had not been watching her weight as of late). This wasn't quite enough to completely protect them as debris of rock and such pelted them, cutting and gashing, creating surface wounds. A few minor wounds here and there were certainly better than being completely devoured, so she couldn't complain.
Almost as if on rails, Kirino was being held tight by Ashura as he launched from here to there, reaching the ground after they had traveled a fir distance. Now set down gently, she couldn't help but feel as if she were being treated like an expensive lamp. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it was a unique experience, at the very least. She had never expected such to be treated with such care by someone so young, with more poise than any adult ever had.
"Ah, no, it's fine."
In this situation Kirino seemed oddly carefree, as Ashura did. It was almost as if she just felt naturally safe in any situation around the boy, like he was invincible, and that she could just sit back and let him do his work. Certainly in this situation her Genjutsu would be useless, particularly in conjunction with a Sharingan.
"...Thanks."
Perhaps she was just in shock, not due to the fact a massive reptile was attacking her, but because of the bond that she had formed with this boy. It was all so difficult to grasp when she really thought about it, that this young man that had accomplished twice as much as Kirino had ever attempted in a fraction of the time would even pay her any mind, but here he was fighting for her life. What more could a girl ask for?
