Chapter Twelve
Into the Wild

description; It’s pretty common knowledge that we dominate a good portion of the surrounding area. As one of the great villages it’s our duty to control and expand, there’s definitely something stopping us though, the Wild Zones. Extreme eco zones filled with dangerous beasts and bloodthirsty maraurders. We can’t even think about converting it to Kumo land yet though as we still haven’t mapped it. That’s what your job’s gonna be. Get into the Wild Zones, create a detailed map and bring it back here. Try to make it back in one piece if you can.

He packed his things, satchels full of kunai and shuriken, holstering his katana to the side of his hip. Though he was headed off on an expedition that would lead him into the wilderness- or Wild Zones- surrounding Kumogakure no Sato, he still wore his typical set of apparel. It just so happened that it he was so used to it, that he could wear it outdoors like that.
This consisted of a long black coat, lined with shiny silver buttons, a pair of expensive black combat boots, a long sleeved white shirt, black slacks, and a silver chain pendant. His hair, currently combed and tended to, was like a cardinal red lion's mane. Besides the items mentioned above, there was nothing else of much worth that he carried on his person.
It did not necessarily surprise him that he was going in to the forests and mountain ranges of Kaminari no Kuni with such items, as he had always considered to be a simple man to begin with. But, in addition to these tendencies, he prided himself on being sort of an unofficial wildlife expert. His youth in the forests of Kuma no Kuni came with such benefits.
So, with nothing more to pack, he left the comfort of his apartment home and headed out, towards the vicinity of the village gates. For once, he was actually looking forward to a mission he had been assigned to, which wasn't rare, exactly... but the latest missions he had taken had been, for the most part, unpleasant experiences. To get away from it all was good.
