The night passed over quickly while in the land of dreams, and Gin woke up with little sleep. About six hours was usually enough time for him to become rejuvenated, he was a shinobi after all. He got up and stretched, did a quick in-place jog and leaped back onto the wall of the mountain. His muscles didn't ache as much as they should have from the climbing yesterday, but the pain was there. He was definitely sore from pulling himself up along a mountain for several hours straight, and now he was about to do it for half the day. He'd die before he even got back down on ground level to turn the mission in. Not to mention that he'd never take this mission again, even if it was ordered upon him to do so. Never, ever again.
The hours that passed by in his climb were long and hard worked for. Every little second counted to his progress, and he'd either make it to the top, or slip and fall to a brutal death. No, he wouldn't go out that way. He had much to live for, mainly himself and his brother's. He also had dreams of his own, those that would only be fulfilled if he lived past this obstacle.
Pull, pull. His body dragged against the mountain side lazily as he began to reach the peak of the mountain. How his brother's managed to reach it he did not know. In fact, he didn't even know if they were alive. They could have both easily slipped and fell to their death's. It was likely that they had, too. To conquer a mountain in one night would be dangerous work. Even in the day when you could see, it was about being careful. One would have to have complete focus to know where they were going in the night.
His final lifts were of him reaching the somewhat flat surface around the peak of the mountain. From this altitude, he was able to see the entire landscape surrounding his village. The world was surely expansive, something only someone who reached the height would realize. It was also beautiful. He took a seat, letting his feet hang off the side of Mt. Gekitsuu. His head cocked back, and he spoke out, seeing if he was up there alone or not.
"Satsui! Kyobona! You guys here?!"
