The Merry Little Spider [ASK]

Was a predator truly a predator when they the ones on the run? In that brief window of time, the hunter had very quickly become the hunted.

The girl's sensory abilities were undoubtedly potent, however, it was rather pointless in a battle where her aggressor made no attempt to hide his assault. Despite her reaction coming at the moment the two pigeons breached the three meter threshold, it mattered very little in the grand scheme of things. Having approached her from separate angles (her right and left), and taking her linear "evasion" into consideration, a slight and seamless alteration was all that it took to throw a rather large wrench in her plan.

Without hindering a single flap of their small, stout wings (and thusly not hampering their speed in the slightest), the birds elevated themselves as they continued on, resulting in a smoothly curved 'x'-like crossing. In the time it'd taken her to climb the three meters, the distance she'd left behind would have all but been erased with the two birds no longer visible (either to her normal eyes or sensory abilities, as it's on cool down). Positioned no more than two meters beneath her figure now (with no intention of stopping, should she decide to try and move again), by the time she came to plant her feet on the branch above it would have been too late.

"Explosives, hu--"

Is all she would have been able to mutter before unadulterated force and heat erupted directly beneath her, fanning out into a double explosion of five meters (each) at the command of Bass's explicit, "Katsu!" Fortunately, the debris that would undoubtedly be kicked up from beneath her would spare her a gruesome and certain death. However, she wouldn't escape their little spare without a few nasty burns and cuts; and then, there was that fall to the ground below.

That is, unless, she had something up her sleeve he'd overlook? Presuming she did, both hands dipped into the pouches of clay on their respective hip¹.
