The moon had reached its highest point (midnight)—just sitting there, hovering over the night sky as it sat between two large clusters of clouds which covered most of the sky. Though, towards the end of the clusters, that would seem like the edge of the sky, the clouds were broken up into much smaller pieces. They had been covering something sinister, high above that was on its way to Kumogakure, far beyond the reach of any technique. With time the sinister being had finally crossed over the gates of Kumogakure, now within its sky, slowly descending down upon the clouds that coated the night sky, waiting.

“Although it would be more of the shinobi way to sneak into another village, I kind of always hated it. Sometimes, it’s better when you draw attention to things. But, you also have to wait for the right moment, agreed?”

The sinister being, which was engulfed by a violent aura, had been all oozing out of me as if I was a Bijuu slowly overflowing with chakra from every tenketsu. This tainted aura was at its highest peak, just like the moon. I felt that the crimes I would commit tonight and the blood I’d spill would corrupt the very color of the moon itself. Perhaps for just this moment in time, I had been delusional, but the altitude of the sheer height we had been up in the sky, flying above Kumogakure had made me feel as if I was some sort of deity—at least the god of lightning.

And, I would take my goddess (Kaminari is the name for the Queen of Lightning), and then turn this land into something completely new and benefitting for ruling. Yes, this entire land should belong to Kirigakure, it should rule the entire world! All nations policed and governed by one country, one nation, and we could put an end to a lot of things, but I wasn’t foolish enough to believe evil would ever disappear. It will always exist, just like good, which is Yin Yang; the opposites that will always exist.

And, unfortunately, if anyone didn’t want to believe that, they would be considered fool—despite my sworn brother, Akira, being an exception to the rule. Where we settled in the sky, thousands of feet up over it all, we would be able to see down into the village through small openings in the clouds. I was hungry—famished for battle.

“Chae—Sanya-sama, look at Kumogakure. . . It’s such a peaceful place, that is until we attack.”

I grinned beneath my steel fox mask, nothing upon my being that linked my connection with my homeland, the same went with my partners, I made sure of that. Anyone looking up into the sky this time of night would be watching for the sign of God.

Having arrived through riding upon the back of Yokumaru's phoenix,, Chae leaned over ever so slightly and peered down into the heart of Kumogakure, gauging the considerable distance between himself and the ground below. As the dead of night approached, the lingering, eerie silence absorbed Yokumaru's words entirely.

Seemingly ignoring Yokumaru's apparent disposition, Chae nearly grinned beneath his mask as mental images of endless refills of sake poured into the forefronts of his mind. Motivated by the one thing he loved most, he patted Yokumaru upon his shoulder and offered his comrade words of encouragement.

"Once we grab this money, we have to go drinking for a couple nights, it'll be on me."

A muffled laugh escaped the confines of his steel face mask as his eyes moved back and forth, viewing everything within the village from a birds-eye view. Suited up in his general armour and readily armed with all available equipment, Chae merely waited for Yokumaru's signal to initiate their attack.

"Reminds me of the time when Akira's brother, the previous Mizukage, had me go into Tsuchi no kuni and assassinate the Tsuchikage. Just hope that this battle lasts a bit longer.

Meticulously, my hands came together to form a single seal, with it black tendrils would erupt from the dark cloak and armor I had been wearing, violently. About three meters above me is where it all had come together, composing a body purely made of the black tendrils that inhabited my body, along with the porcelain mask that Chae had once seen before. It had a yellow square (signifying it affinity with Raiton) upon the center of its nose, and when it was fully completed, it detached from the remaining tendrils within my body. With a hand firmly placed on the neck of Sanya, and a gentle stroke, the Phoenix then dove down toward the village below.

I used chakra within my hands and feet to hold on to Sanya as we descended. As we had gotten closer, everything came into better view; we could see that Kumogakure had lain in the middle of a chain of mountains, surrounded on all sides. No doubt that anyone up around this time (midnight) and looking into the sky could get a glimpse of the blazing Phoenix coming down toward the village’s tallest tower. Though, due to the insane height of the tower, it was still hidden inside of the clouds and away from the village (got this straight from the Raikage Tower’s description), meaning that if one did see the winged-beast it would be for a meager split-second, making one even think it was an illusion of some sort.

Hidden within the clouds above the Raikage’s Tower (about ten meters above it), the Phoenix began to create spheres of chakra—one being dropped directly upon the Raikage’s tower. Due to being composed of chakra, it was weightless, and therefore didn’t make a single sound, not even the slightest upon landing. The Phoenix created a second one, though this time had chosen to hang onto it. I commanded the Raiton Avatar to take watch around the part of the village that was closest to the tower, obeying my order, with great speed; it had taken to the village while Gin would attempt to attack the gates. Knowing that Gin was going to come straight through the front of the village, I wanted to cause a bit of the destruction in the center.

“I wonder what kind of audience we’ll attract. . . Either way, Chae, I advise you to get off. These Phoenix possess a nasty ability, they will burn away all of your chakra.”

Still grinning beneath my mask, I have thought of nothing more than robbing this village of its treasures then allowing its economy to fall into the abyss. Surely the village would fall in dear time with no financial support or funding to buy resources. The Raiton Avatar had fired beams of pure and focused Raiton chakra, which acted like some sort of laser which could cut through anything and everything in its path—possessing a cutting ability equal to that of the Chidori. Surely anyone within its path would be cut down as it moved quickly through the city (20 meters in the air) with its impressive speed (3rd Gate Speed), cutting down people and homes.

I remained upon the Phoenix for now, while Chae would descend down to the village below.

“When Gin strikes, the real fun begins.”

A powerful addition to the Jiongu art, this allows the user to essentially create “avatars” by using their devoured hearts and the ebony threads within their body. These horrendous creatures, with the hearts as their brains, boast impressive strength and speed, making them incredibly lethal opponents. However, the also possess the ability to emit rays of their respective elemental nature, which are capable of causing severe damage to both their victims and their surroundings. Though it limits the user’s ability to manipulate the remainder of the threads inside their body, the user gains a small army capable of truly devastating results in exchange.

Note: Each avatar will take one of the user’s four additional hearts in order to manifest, and thusly acquire the element of said heart (removing it from the user until the heart returns). These avatars are comprised of the majority of the user’s black tendrils, limiting their ability to manipulate the remaining threads in their body to Jiongu, Ito Kuro (Earth Grudge Fear, Black Thread) when two or more Avatars are simultaneously active. The Avatars cannot perform any jutsu the shinobi they acquired their hearts from, but instead, fire beams (roughly 1 meter wide) accurately up to ten meters away of the their respective element. Due to being formed from nothing more than these highly resilient black threads, the Avatar possess an incredible amount of strength and speed (comparable to the 3rd gate). The “heart” giving them life is located in their head, serving as the brain.

Perched upon the body of a phoenix, Chae momentarily looked over to Yokumaru who, at that time, formed a single hand-signature that appeared to have caused the blackened constructs to take a specific, monstrous form. Chae lofted a brow in surprise to witnessing Yokumaru's 'secret ability' which, thus far, seemed to be fairly impressive.

Thereafter, at Yokumaru's own behest, the phoenix the two rode upon descended down towards the highest point within the village which, without a shadow of doubt, could've been spotted from a great distance. Setting their plan in motion, Chae watched Yokumaru's avatar soar off into the distance, making its way towards Gin's position to give him assistance if needed.

Quickly, Chae attention directed itself back towards the tower in tandem with Yokumaru's suggestion regarding the phoenix and its alleged ability to shave away and absorb any and all foreign chakra. Desiring to conserve ever possible drop, a soft nod heralded the separation between Chae and his partner's familiar. Stepping off in a forward-down motion, he fell down towards the tower's roof and landed in a low, single kneed crouch with a light, barely audible thud that followed.

"Now, I think preparations are in order. Fuck this village. . .sake is probably piss poor here."

Reaching into his left and right hip pouches respectively, a single tagged kunai had been seized by Chae's right hand as its left retrieved a single note. Wasting no time at all, with a bit of pressure, Chae slapped the tag onto the towers ceiling prior to standing fully, turning around and walking away to a safe distance. His plan? Merely to create a hole in the tower in attempt to surprise the enemies that Chae beleived, for some magical and mysterious reason, would've known they were coming regardless.

What would you call it - burning the midnight candle? Well, whatever the phrase; that was what the Raikage was doing as he sat laxed behind his dominating desk. Hand on chin it rested and as he slowly clutched his stomach with his palm musing about silence within - the beast that was resting dormant within him. The room was warm and quiet as the few lights that lit it flickered ever so slightly. Kumogakure lay asleep at the dead of night - tucked away in the corner of the world where it would dream an untouched dream, or so it thought. Eiichiro's calmness would be interrupt by a frantic call from Benkei - a call that made his heart sink.

"Raikage-Sama, we have received word of intruders entering through the barrier - heading towards the Tower from the skies as we speak! Ah, also an unknown presence at the gate. What are my orders?"

Huh? was this for real. It was supposed to be a night like every other. He had to physically rub his eyes to respond as if to reinforce that he wasn't actually dreaming. Intruders? really? his mind started to kick into high gear as adrenaline circulated his system, like gears slowly turning, his heart rate began to gain momentum. It was true - this would be the time he, himself, would pick to infiltrate a secure location like that of a village. But, it was just that - they were infiltrating a Hidden Village. It was a brazen act, that was for sure - which would arise suspicion within the golden-haired head of his. Had there really been no warning of this? So many questions circled his head as he tried to wrap answers around them - but he just didn't have enough information yet. Auto-pilot took over as he stood up abruptly from his seat, clearing his throat as he proceed to speak into the monitor.

"Order Division Z and Y of ANBU from the Tower to move throughout the village. They are to give you constant updates - monitor the situation and find out what the bloody hell is going on."

He would pause for a moment as he allowed his brain to catch up with his mouth.

"Tell Division Z to meet me on A1 for a briefing and get in contact with the gate patrol. For now, let the ANBU handle this we don't want to stir any hysteria within the village at the dead of night. Stay in contact with the Data HQ. I'll have my radio on me so update me regularly. Eii-Dono -out!"

He had always wanted to sign-out with that [giving himself a royal honorific], and even if the situation was likely serious - he had to enter in some levity just in-case it got too serious for him to later on. Ripping his coat jacket off of his chair he would swing it behind his back ushering his arms through the jackets. A single finger would sound the bell for the lift as he stepped through its frame - his destination being A1. Zooming down to his destination, the silence in the lift was cutting. -Ding- the doors would slide open as his black sandal now touched down upon white stone tile. Each step he made would cut through the silence as he walked forward a few paces. There, three of his ANBU were already stationed, Division Z he presumed. Benkei is so quick he mused - But my ANBU are quicker.

Of the three ninja - one would capture his attention first, a tall muscular figure, his 'snouted' dog mask would prove his affiliation to the Kumogakure ANBU. To his right, a short blue-haired women, her mask decorated with cat-eyes and whiskers. Finally, to his left was quite a rotund man, shorter than the ANBU member in the middle -but still tall- his girth presented him with a dominating presence, that, and his stark oni mask. Before Eiichiro would even speak his hand entered into his pouch as he grabbed for a kunai; throwing it at a non-attacking pace, the rotund man would catch it nearly flawlessly. Why a kunai you may ask? The rotund ANBU would look down, and upon noticing the special seal¹ wrapped around its handle would look back up at his Raikage - he knew what it mean't instinctively. That was his training.

"Go to the gate and secure the location. I want an update in five minutes. Go."

His words were virile in their release, like a true leader - he grew out of his passive traits when the situation warranted it. Raising his hand to his ear he would fiddle with his radio frequency - he couldn't miss a single thing. The security of his village relied on it.

A horned, white mask would secure itself over my brooding expression, timed with my rimming of the imposing structure sitting atop one of the village's largest plateaus, located directly at its center.

It still rang fresh, the bothersome news afforded by members of the cloud's barrier and sensory divisions. There were three altogether, two descending near the cities rear, above the Raikage's tower specifically, and another charging directly at our fore. We weren't sure who they were, or why they were here; nevertheless, the worst always had to be assumed in situations such as this – the lives of innocents were at stake. I myself presumed it was an attempt to assassinate the Raikage; it was bound to happen eventually, the temptations of a bounty's worth, the possible notoriety, or even the thought of weakening our village were far overpowering for some.

My current focus was reaching Eiichiro's tower as swiftly as possible; the crimson droplets instigated by an abrupt glimmer in the faltering moonlight were enough to meet the requisites of such fast travel. Two ternary motions, each followed by the blood rite made available everything I needed, and even better, shielded by the substantial dimensions of the data headquarters', nothing could've been seen by the intrusive duo, should it have not been regardless.

There was no time to observe the beauty of the two extraplanar beings as they appeared; the pursuit my mental took in finding the correct approach had left me utterly severe and without patience for anything other than planned objectives. Without time to waste, I addressed them in a non-aggressive, yet pressing manner.

The sincerity in my voice compelled them to act without question, which was a relief, as I relied on them far more than they ever could rely on me. I nimbly propelled myself onto the shoulder region of the one prevalent in size, and we shot into the midnight sky, obscured almost immediately by noticeably dense clouds, atleast ten meters before we'd overtake our shielding structure's height. We continued our elevation, slipping through the pall until I felt confident we couldn't be spotted by anyone below us, and then forward. In proportion with his size, Ai's speed was incredible, acutely fractioning the time elapsed compared to travel on-foot.

At this point, the two behind my twin oculi would tense, allowing me to see through the thick miasma surrounding our chilling elevation. In not time at all, we'd reached a mere thirty meters from the tower, with the majority of that distance existing in eminence. Obscured by heavy clouds, it'd be impossible to pick us out from beyond a five-meter distance. Scanning the familiar surroundings, I'd catch my first glimpses of the foe, taking in any weaponry they had on them, as well chakra signatures and even their faces, which would've otherwise been concealed in their masks.

Shocking was the phoenix that had imported the man still aerial, the other hopping from the being and planting an explosive tag onto the ceiling. Questions circled as I considered the two, as well Sanya, though for now I'd merely observe.

As Eiichiro rose up out of his seat and motioned towards his office's exit, with a single seal from its owner, the aforementioned exploding note released its fury upon the ceiling to the Raikage's tower. With enough power to rip through its material, the affected area (5m diameter) collapsed and left an over-sized hole as both smoke and dust crawled their way into the man's office. In tandem, Chae's chakra exploded in a flash, causing streaks of lightning to ravenously consume the entirety of his body. With his speed increased five times over, he took off into the smoke created by the explosion and dropped into Eiichiro's office.

"Surprise Surprise, don't move. . ."

In the blink of an eye, Chae landed just above the fallen debris, looking straight ahead at a standing (back facing Chae) man that'd been headed for what seemed to be the exit to his office, no more than 5 meters away (leaving Chae in the middle of the room). At first glance, he seemed sophisticated and organized; in other words, he looked important. With a tagged kunai seized within the grip of his right hand, it, without hesitation, flung forward with an incomprehensible gait. Released at the peak of his arms extension, the kunai zoomed across the room, aimed for the apparatus near him (thrown with full power).

Without a moment to waste, presuming everything proceeded as planned, Chae's left hand formed an empty hand-signature, ready to trigger what could've quite possibly been end of that man's life. In tandem, his body remained loose, ready for immediate movement if given the proper signals from both Eiichiro & Yokumaru.

[/b]: Namely an offensive armor, this armor is most widely known for the profound boost in speed and reflexive that it grants its user, which is easily comparable to the 5th gate. Being a manifestation of the raiton element, this armor severely hampers any raiton jutsu cast against it (to the point where even the piercing abilities of Chidori and Raikiri are nearly nullified). Beyond this, the Raiton no Yoroi can be concentrated and focused at the hands in order to produce a cutting like effect, easily capable of severing limbs. The piercing power of this specific manifestation of the armor isn't nearly as potent as chidori or its forms; however, it is enough to easily pass through low-quality armor, and as stated, flesh and bone.

I couldn’t stop grinning as I watched Chae blow the top of the Raikage’s Tower (my own chakra from within began to swell up¹), and then descended down below to deal with whatever he needed to. He was going to be to one to deal with the Raikage, since he had already been a killer of one Kage, he would surely be the best for this. All I had to do was make sure no backup had come to help him out, if they had come from the outside. I decided to circle around the building after my partner ventured inside of it, circling a ten meter radius around it, thinking of what would happen if we were successful.

The skies above where we had been had revealed that something, some sort of faint light that had been behind the clouds (we already discussed this on YIM), but I wouldn't be able to deduce what it had been, unfortunately. Though, it was not I myself who noticed this, but Sanya herself as we would continue to circle the building, wonder what it could have been. The Raiton Avatar had finished his job and destroying and killing people, he then went on to its next task of scanning the perimeter in fifty meters all around, thirty meters below the roof of the Raikage's Tower, flying at impressive speeds.

A hurried walk to the only exit of his Sky-lounge office would be interrupted, as his instinct reacted near simultaneously, it was an explosion that would signal the entrance of his enemy - of all things. How uncouth. Eiichiro knew that this could only mean one thing; his beautifully furbished office would be ruined! His glorious and vast skylight was destroyed, the lavish covering that doned his new chairs were now ruined with dust and debris - let alone his table, only god knows if that would have survived directly in the impact-zone. Eiichiro didn't count on it. However still he looked on his exterior the interior was a different story as an unhampered rage quickly flooded his system. The first thing this intruder does is to destroy Eiichiro's beautiful office? Hell no, that would be his first mistake - and last as it would turn out.

A supernatural cloak¹ would instantly erupt from the Raikage's body synchronized with the explosion and great chakra surge that came from his enemy. 'Son' had a tendency to do this, when feeling that his host was threatened, and therefore himself, he would make sure measures were taken to secure their survival. Bubbling, and truly alive, the cloak spread instantly across his body - a shining maroon coloured-form of chakra with ancient-looking black inscriptions, signalling to the enemy that he would be a jinchuuriki - but a powerful one at that. His opponent would never have seen anything like it. This was the most skillful form a jinchuuriki could possess - a height of control and power, the Perfect Host. As his intruder initiated his own armor, it would look like a cheap Chinese knock-off compared to his opponents. Air within the room would start to swirl as minor debris and dust gave in helplessly to his power as an inhuman heat would soon envelop the room making it difficult to breathe.

"Kid, who is this guy?"

"I dunno, we'll soon find out. Seems we're on the same wavelength on what to do though, Son."

"Mhm."

There exchange was short as the situation didn't warrant much more. Near-instantly, Eiichiro's opponent would drop down to the ground in his office as he spoke, his words matching his uncouth entrance which infuriated Eiichiro more than anything. Facing the opposing way, Eiichiro hadn't even moved, and to his opponent, he wouldn't look like moving either - something which would likely strike his curiously as a tagged kunai came hurtling his way. Its speed was augmented, greatly so, by the chirping Raiton armor that surrounded him. One of the many things this form gave Eiichiro was a heightened sense of awareness. All happening within mere moments, the intruder's kunai would be thrown towards Eiichiro, and with a quick -shuffle- of his feet he moved slightly to the right - only inches though - as it would happen in a blur. He wasn't worried either way as he knew the Kunai wouldn't likely pierce the strength of his armor. Oh, and that pesky tag attached to its back, that would melt away in milliseconds as it reached inches from his body due to the malevolent Youton cloak that surrounded him.

However, Eiichiro -simultaneous to his steps- would form arms out out of raw chakra at the same time his opponent threw the kunai (meeting respectively at each opponent at the same time due to speeds) from his body in a fashion that should mesmerize his opponent. Out of his cloak, he would form four [4] arms at speeds even a matured Sharingan would struggle to follow, one from between his shoulder blades that would move straight through the air towards the intruders throat, while another from the top of head would angle slightly up before coming down in an arc to crush down upon him. Finally, two would form from the sides of his hips, angling around in a 90° fashion as their would come around to meet. His intruder was no slouch, his Raiton no Yoroi offering him 5th gate speed - but so did Eiichiro's own cloak. With the gap between them only at five meters, and his action already consumed with his throw, the clawed hands of his chakra arms would narrow in on his position from a myriad of sides. With complete control, even if he did evade them - Eiichiro would manipulate them further, cat-like trapping meant for a rat-like opponent.

Although their speeds were similar, but Eiichiro would surely have an edge², he was the Raikage of Kumogakure - nothing and no one would compare to his skill, especially some bandit thug in a mask. But just who was he? The Raiton no Yoroi would instantly become recognizable to the golden-haired man, and upon thought, he would try to come to terms with the situation. He was likely an ex-shinobi, a masterful raiton user who held a grudge against the village and wished to make the Raikage pay - but who? It would come to an end soon as his chakra arms would grab a hold of their target, with grip like no other (7th gate strength), an experience truly unbelievable. But, within all this, his physical arms were free - and with that he swiftly delved into his pouch producing a tagged kunai³ of his own. However, his back was still turned, and instead he threw the kunai upwards just above his position to the roof five [5] meters up - its sharp tip lodging itself robustly.

Turning his head ever so slightly to his left, his eye would peer out of the corner of his signature shades. A look of disrespect, of disgust, just who did this punk think he was coming into his office and destroying it? Oh well, he would soon be dead.

Darkness loomed in the skies above, foreshadowing the events to transpire. A piercing chill ran through his darkly muffled frame, and the anbu failed to shake the sudden hunch that clung to the back of his mind. While routine, shinobi patrols through the dead of night often left the mind wandering, leaving images of the unlikely terror that lurked in the shadows. However, unbeknownst to the unassuming anbu, foreign forces had plagued the skies, breaking the barriers that lay within range of kumogakure's fabled sensors. The brief white noise that shot through his ears soon cut to the voice of the Raikage, detailing the events that unveiled from the same thunderous sky, they claimed their own. As messages from nearby units cut in and out of his earpiece, the darkly endowed shinobi had vanished from his position near the base of the tower, slipping inside without notice.

Reaching the base of the tower, A1 as it was called, his towering frame pushed through the doors, connecting him to a larger room in which he found three anbu waiting. "Where is he, the Raikage?" the shinobi mused, a discontent monotone accompanying the query. "Benkei headed up to-" his sentence was cut short by chuckle exuding from hidden lips that lay beneath an ivory mask—symbolizing a lion. He parted from the group quickly, disappointed in their inability to assess the situation, and since the informant had just reached the kage's office, the light press of a button beckoned the lift to its origin, doors sliding open before the shinobi. As he entered the small metallic box, his eyes fell over series of numbers until he found that of the kage's office, pressing it with urgency. If what his comrades spoke of on the radio was true, then the enemies were heading directly for the Raikage towering, prompting the shinobi to dispense his services as not only an anbu, but as a friend.

Standing firm in the center of his cage, a dark cloak endowed his frame, veiling the shorts that lay beneath. Ah, but that was not all, for the warrior was well armed, equipped with three sealing parchments, his weapons found homage within the confides of an alternate dimension, one hidden from the scope of the naked eye. But alas, his were that of a foreign nature, ripening in alabster as the veins on his forehead began to bulge¹. All at once the world around him became clear, alotting a fifty meter view of all that fell within it. The kage's office, which was now fifteen meters up—and rising—revealed two within the realm of its walls. But it seemed he was running late, for beyond the ceiling of the office a chakra fused parchment radiated with iridescent glow. Before he could mutter a word into his radio, the roof caved in beneath the weight of an explosion, casting debris beneath the descent of foreign chakra. This one originating from the skies above, where a large creature flew in the company of it's host.

As the figure stood parrelell to what I recognized as the Raikage's immense chakra, his/her own radiated with an immense glow, offering the fact that he/she was well endowed with his own form of energy, one boasting high levels of destructive nature. Though it was nothing in comparison to the tremendous force of the Raikage. My eyes unveiled the white parchment that flew from his grasps, likely accompanied by a projectile, but, as the seal escaped Eiichiro's physical form, it melted away beneath the extensive aura of his Yonbi, reasonably so with the corroding effect his aura seemed to possess. And as I neared the top of my ascent, I pushed open the top of the elevator, climbing atop the metal box and leavin it's contents empty.

When the elevator had reached the top of it's climb, a sudden "bing" signaled heavy metal doors that cast aside, revealing an empty box to the room before it. To the foreign shinobi, it'd appear as though the Raikage had prompted it's delivery before his interuption, a watchful eye noted the projectile—or what was left of it— as it ran into the back of the lift, rendering it useless at it fell to the floor. Suddenly, however, a darkly endowed frame dropped from the roof of the lift, swinging at such an angle that he landed behind the Raikage at a distance of eight meters, placing him thirteen from the intruder. Arms concealed beneath his dark cloak, the eyes of his enemy failed to note the rolled parchment coiled between his fingertips. On the other hand, the shinobi made mental note of the chakra egg discharged from the phoenix's grip, sitting idly on the roof five meters up, and another ten to his right, placing the explosive chakra ball roughly eleven meters from the anbu. All in all, it seemed things were about to get interesting. With the full range view of his kekkai genkai, he witnessed both the incoming ally, and the enemy that circled above. The chakra bestowing his frame was enough to warrant a threat of it's own.

"Having a party without me? I see how it is..." he mused dryly, regarding his comment with a short chuckle.

I'd keep a subconscious eye on its inner proceedings, though the greater part of my attention remained fixed on the sanguine entity and her fare.

Monitoring the masked man, his sudden draw of chakra came as no surprise; in unison with its commencement, we'd heighten our distance an additional ten meters, turning a glow that may have been faint into one nonexistent. I wasn't sure of his ability, and while I guessed Ai knew several things I didn't, his booming voice was in no position to talk. Merely by his thread-like constituency, which was unlike anything I'd ever seen, I could tell he was something different, and most likely deserved several forms of caution. I'd need Irebun, who'd arrive shortly, together with us before I could achieve the clarity to act.

Even more concerning was the fact that Sanya was currently aiding him. If there was one single fact I knew of their kind, It was that they abhorred evil of any kind, even neutrality, and yet here she was aiding a man that had seemingly planned to infiltrate a hidden village, threatening the lives of innocent civilians, and as well aiding in an effort against the Raikage's life. I was confounded by the notion. It would appear that Irebun herself, the most benevolent of her species, had been thinking on the same frequency as I, as she'd come into view beside us for a mere second before gracefully diving below.

As the aerial duo began the circling of the tower, she'd first be visible as only a faint light among the dense clouds, one that grew brighter and more expansive until finally her full breadth could be perceived. She'd approach in a non-aggressive manner, moving progressively toward the white-haired male before halting in front of them.

"Yokumaru, Sanya – why are you here?"

The view of my featureless sclera continued to blanket the area, allowing me to maintain watch of either situation, sitting atop Ai, for now invisible to the lot of them.

This is borderline irritating. Yes you're from Kumogakure, yes, you're in the land of lightning but that doesn't automatically give you knowledge of Raiton no yoroi if your characters have never seen it ICly. For chae's case its different as he knows akira so he has an idea of what a jin can do. It isn't the same when switch around in this situation, thank you.

Time and time again, Chae's skills continued to show unrivaled results that not only benefited himself but benefited Kirigakure as well. With Chae's landing and his kunai thrown, he noticed the supernature cloak that immediately consumed the body of the man before him. Beneath the confines of his mask, his eyes widened in shock as his mind sent mental flashes of Akira to the forefronts of his mind. This man had been a Jinchuriki just like Akira?! While infinitely interesting, the discovery only made their task that much harder. Fortunately, Chae refused to doubt himself as he recalled upon fighting the Tsuchikage when out numbered with only a claymore and a handful of taijutsu, yet, still persevered.

He wasn't worried either way as he knew the Kunai wouldn't likely pierce the strength of his armor. Oh, and that pesky tag attached to its back, that would melt away in milliseconds as it reached inches from his body due to the malevolent Youton cloak that surrounded him. "

While Chae's tagged kunai had been throw at the lift / elevator with Eiichiro never even being the target at all, his movement produced no kind of tactical gain and only showed that his awareness and lack of detail was far inferior to Chae's own; it had to be, considering that his nervous system hadn't been continuously stimulated, electrically that is. Nevertheless, the Kunai remained where it had intended to remain, at the only exit within Eiichiro's office.

Without a moment to waste, presuming everything proceeded as planned, Chae's left hand formed an empty hand-signature, ready to trigger what could've quite possibly been end of that man's life. In tandem, his body remained loose, ready for immediate movement if given the proper signals from both Eiichiro & Yokumaru.

Eiichiro's movement signaled and warranted Chae's own , and coupled with his augmented reflex that surpassed any shinobi five times over, his 'react and act' performance had been top notch (leaving him with a significantly larger window for reaction). Nevertheless, snuffing out the 'wake up' to Eiichiro's attack (all converging chakra arms) , Chae merely pushed against the ground (launching him back & up 5 meters) beneath him and flipped his body up side down in tandem. With a speed that was nearly double Eiichiro's own (3rd vs 5th), Chae landed upon the ceiling as the arms kept their respective momentum from different angles considering that he fully committed to the attack.

Suddenly, however, a darkly endowed frame dropped from the roof of the lift, swinging at such an angle that he landed behind the Raikage at a distance of eight meters, placing him thirteen from the intruder.

A sound, one that heralded the arrival of someone on the offices elevator / life, grabbed Chae's attention, and considering that both it and Eiichiro were within that same cone from Chae's now elevated position, both variables were given equal attention. Nevertheless as the young lad swung from the lifts roof (which mean the door to it is opened) the true seal had been made from its owner, igniting the tag to blossom over a 5 meter radius. The young ANBU (yoichi), unfortunately, failed to even make it out of the lift, killing not only him but the device as well.

It went without say that considering the properties of his cloak, Eiichiro would've receive minimal damage (if any at all) from the explosion, however, the undeniable concussive force that rocked the room would've undoubtedly caught him off guard considering he himself believed the kunai & tag had been destroyed. What did that mean? It meant that any following actions Eiichiro had in mind would've been severely delayed in execution.

This is for both Vega and Yoichi who truly bellieved that the energy from the yonbi's cloak would've melted the kunai & tag when it would not (especially considering when the kunai was never aimed at eiichiro but the lift to begin with.. If it would have melted, then yoichi, you would in fact be alive right now. While you did try to swing out, Chae can react to your movements faster than you can believe coupled with the radius of the tag (i.e 5 meters) you wouldn't have had the time to escape its range.

Vega I hashed it out with you yesterday about the tag so you know, all I'm saying is taht because of the explosion you thought wouldn't happen, its attempting to intterupt your throwing your own kunai into the air.

It finally happened, my chakra had poured out evenly within my body, unleashing a force like no other from within me¹. It was brilliant, a massive aura with the appearance of a gigantic fireball coated me, and it was larger than Sanya--and it wasn’t even made of chakra! With my newly found strength and speed, I felt as if I could handle any shinobi which would have been in my path. With my curious of what that faint light would have been in the clouds, I decided that me and Sanya should fly up and have a look.

Though not without the company of my Raiton avatar who had flown up ahead of us by [10] meters, and [10] meters to the left of us, and the glow had been directly on top of me and Sanya. Me and the Raiton Avatar had a mental connection, and as he would be ahead of us, he would breach through the clouds first, and likely faster than anyone in the sky at the moment, he would fly just [10] above where you (Haru) would have gone. Just as Sanya and I was about to adventure into the clouds, a Phoenix had arose from it in our path way [5] meters from us. It appeared to be of the same family as Sanya, though I was notified that there was someone else, on top of another Phoenix who had just been beyond the clouds, and with no time to spare, I proceeded to assist my clone.

I stood upon Sanya’s back, and in a burst of speed, I kicked up off of it and into the clouds, where the Raiton Avatar would come and pick me up. Semi-merging back with me², I became a shinobi who was now capable of flight (who had the speed to move x4 the speed of an average shinobi), taking back into the sky to circle the shinobi and the Phoenix in a ten meter radius. Sanya was left to deal with the other Phoenix, and if he were to try to regroup with his allies, Sanya would simply follow him. Thanks to the Raiton Avatar, we would zip around our targets with an impressive speed, surely hard to keep up for the bird whose keen eyes wasn’t as sharp as the Byakugan the boy possessed, and even he himself would have a hard time tracking our speed.

The Avatar was connected with me via my back, so it looked somewhat like a guilder. Near the face of the Avatar, which was nearly two meters above me, it began to charge an attack, one would be able to see Raiton-based chakra gathering at its scowl³. By this time, my skin would slowly turn back to its original color, but I would also receive a boost in chakra from it.

It was a feeling of sickness that would overcome Heihachi's stomach. It was almost as if he had forgotten something the night before. Had he had something bad to eat for dinner? No- these were butterflies. They were signs of his anxiety. They were not something that could be remedied with something like a soda or any sort of medication. He had to do something. He had a mission that he had to perform... but what? His eyes were barely open, but as the two hazel orbs would awaken to the eyelids of a dark skinned woman, topless and face down, he knew what had happened. The feeling in his stomach was anxious, but not because of the liqour that he had consumed with her, or because of the curiosity of who this woman might of been. None of that mattered, nor had it ever. There was something on his mind, and it was so vibrant that it had literally awaken him from his sleep. His eyes would flutter and he would shove his body from the cushioned mattress into an active position. He felt like a slob. He hadn't taken a shower, and his mouth still tasted like liquor and saliva. It was an endearing taste to have, but something that he could do without. He had to head home before someone caught him here.

It wasn't typically smiled upon to have relationships with ones team mates, considering that at any moment either party could die. Getting blown to shreds by an exploding tag has a lot more weight when it's the one that you're trying to impregnate. This obviously wasn't the case with Heihachi and Souba. She was just a woman- he was just a man. They didn't even known each other's full names. On the field, he had his assigned code name, and she had hers. In situations like this- he was Heihachi, and she was Souba. That was it. Her arms had shrugged beneath her pillow, while he had fallen asleep in an awfully uncomfortable manner that left his arm numb. He shook it off.

Grasping a hold of his underwear he would quickly get dressed, then equip himself with the armor that he had been wearing during their patrol. This affair had begun on a casual assignment. It was only by chance that they would be assigned to patrol together. She was a Chuunin, and he a Jounin, so naturally he was her commanding officer on the field- in this one bedroom flat however- that was not the case. Before he knew it he had fully equip himself with all of his armor. A black one-piece would cover the majority of his body, and various pieces of synthetic kevlar would protect the important parts of his body. Lastly, he would grasp the white hooded coat that most Jounin ANBU wore when on patrol- as not to catch attention. He left it unzipped, so as he reached for the large ivory mask within his game pocket, it was quite easy to reach.

An elongated beak would protrude from the mask, making it a bit harder to conceal. He learned how to do it eventually. It would take an instant for him to be out of the window- ninjas never used doors. Landing properly onto a cascading rooftop, he would cover his mouth with his gloved hand as he released a roaring yawn- it wasn't enough to cover the sound of an explosion however. Sounds like that never really escaped his purview. It would take an instant for him to pinpoint possible locations where it may have originated. Kumogakure was a large village, and the mountains didn't help with the echo effect. Twisting and turning, he would find five locations that appeared to have no monetary change- and that's when he saw it. The tower above all towers. He was fortunate to have been at Souba's apartment building which was actually elevated to a level near the tower, above the first tier of clouds. The lights of the explosion, followed by a buzzing in his ear- something was happening. He could hear the voices on the radio in Souba's apartment.

"Zzzt. All available members of squad 3, 8, Delta and Y. APB in the direction of the front gate. Sensors also detect a significant chakra source coming from the Raikage tower. Available units, please respond."

Then the message was over.

Heihachi's eyes would stay peeled on the menacingly tall tower as it oversaw his village. The endless homes beneath him housing an untold number of people. He witnessed the rustling in Souba's bed, and realized that she had been awoken by the radio- he didn't have time to wait for her. There was only one thing on his mind.

"... Eiichiro..."
