Weaknesses: Strength, working with others/strangers, close-ranged attacks, hand-to-hand combat, primary weapons. Story: Akemai, who likes to be called May, was born and raised in Konhagakure no Sato. She was born in Konoha 23 years ago to two very happy shinobi who had both been retired. The two wanted May to be raised in a non-violent environment, so they retired in their thirties and moved to the forest not too far from the village. There, May's mother gave birth to her on the 12th of August, and the family begun their happy life together. They lived out their in the forest in their small cabin, and May's mother would take trips to the village every Sunday to get necessities. Occasionally she would bring little May with her, and May eventually became fascinated with the society of Shinobi. She'd always ask her father why they couldn't live there, and he claimed that it was because the village only homed Shinobi and their families. However that happy life didn't last long. On one regular, sunny summer day, a family of white-haired ninja stopped by May's home. At the time, May was only 4 years old, and the family had a girl her age in it so May couldn't help but to want to play with her. Neverless, her farther sent her away with her mother, who dragged May into the attic. Moments later, May started to notice the nervous manner both her parents were acting in, and being as bright as she was she asked her mother if anything was wrong. Instead of answering, her mom told her to sit in the attic and wait for her to get her, and May did what she was told. Nearly moments later May was poking a small hole in the floor (which was the living room's ceiling) to watch what was going on, but what she saw would be set in her mind forever. That day her parents were killed by the white-haired family, which May later found out were a bloodthirsty clan of Kaguyas. May barely made it out alive, for she was dragged passed her bloody parents bodies and into the backyard where the little girl her age choked her until she fainted. When May woke up, they were gone but she was still alive, and knowing how to get to the village she ran there, covered in blood, and tried to explain her story. Luckily, the guards there knew her, and were able to get to her house, and discover what had happened. Despite being so young and hysterical, May described the family to the shinobi. After she was taken to the hospital she heard some adults talking about what had happened, and she didn't know if they were caught or not. Later, May was taken in by Akiko, a close family friend who proved to be the only possible guardian for May. She was a shinobi herself, and despite May's parents' wished to keep May away from the ninja world, Akiko got May enrolled into the Academy at May's request. There, May became one of the best shinobi in her class. Since she was highly competitive and would never give up, she went through her Academy and Genin years nearly friendless. However after her escape from death, May began to change. When Konoha was invaded, May barely got out alive. It was the day she had just met her team when Suna and Mist-nin flooded through the streets and killed anyone in sight. May was prepared for many things, but that scene was overwhelming to everyone. Her and her now very close friend Tanbai managed to get to the tunnels and get out safely, but the retched day changed something in everyone. Now, seven years after that incident, May is a different woman. Her attitude towards others changed tremendously, and her thoughts about life as well. She's improved in ehr technique, and is aiming for ANBU. She's best at Ninjutsu , with Taijutsu as her second best and Genjutsu as her worse, and currently knows both the Doton and Katon releases. Today, May is still loyal to Konoha and considers herself chaotic good. She's known to be enthusiastic about learning and improving herself, she loves learning new things and being an expert in anything. She enjoys being in a position where her knowledge is valued by others, and reacts well to positive reinforcement. May used to be incredibly reckless and sometimes even stupid, she didn't think anything through and just did things that could almost cost her her life. But having a near-death experience has definitely changed that part of her. Now, she has better judgement and thinks its important for her to think things through and to examine issues from all angles. She doesn't jump quickly to conclusions anymore, but instead, she carefully weighs up evidence to make decisions. If the facts suggest she's been wrong in the past, she’ll easily change her mind. But, May is still a bit stubborn and definitely brave. She's prepared to take on challenges and deal with difficult situations even if unpopular or dangerous. She has the courage to overcome fear as well as ability to take a moral stance under stressful circumstances. She would easily risk her life if someone else was in danger, but if there was another way to save someone or to improve she would choose that path instead. Before the invasion, May disliked people and always pretended she was better than them. Now, May's become less like that a more open to relationships with others. She tries to give everyone a change unless eh has a reason to do otherwise. But, with all the positive effects of her near-death experience, there have also been many negative ones. May has always been a bit blunt or rude, and that hasn't changed drastically. However now, despite her struggles to not get this way in the past, May now becomes attached to and much more protective to others than before. She's worries way to often, and can become a bit clingy, as well as her emotions about others become clearer quicker. May has light chocolate colored hair that reaches just under her jaw. Her eyes are dark brown as well, and are completed by her button-like now. She's about five feet six inches and has long, lean arms and legs as well as a flat tummy. When she's going on a mission or training, she wears her simple shinobi outfit. This consists of a black sports bra-like shirt, and a red half-skirt that only covers one leg. The other leg is bandaged to the thigh, as well as her left arm being bandaged to the elbow. If it's colder, May wears a simply gray hoodie with a forehead protector plague inserted in the hood. (Like #1 here.) This light clothing help May move quickly with ease, but proves to give little protection to the exposed parts. Thus, she's trained herself to be fast.
