They now left the market before they continued their investigation to a rather quiet street nearby. It was decorated with some elegant flower bushes as well as large oak tree. A cat's cry then reached the female's ears; she looked around to check where it came from.
"You hear that, kiddo? Sounds like a cat." said the male while he chewed on one of the guava fruits he had just purchased.

Atlas looked up. So did Yukiko and saw a small cat on a branch quite far up in the tree. "Oh, dear. Same old shtick, huh? Cats always getting stuck up in trees." muttered the young man with a somewhat bored voice as he put the bag with fruit down on the ground.

"Got any ideas, sis?" asked the Chuunin as he cracked the knuckles on his hands. Ice blue eyes looked at the area around the tree to see if there was a safe way they could get up in the tree without getting anything broken.
The girl raised her eyebrows as she saw that one of the branches near the cat was almost right next to a roof on a nearby house. The Genin looked around the house, but she did not see anything they could use to get up to the floor. "I think I have a small idea" replied the female as she looked up at the male.

"Do you see that branch? It is quite close to that roof over there, but I have no idea on how we can get up there. The branch is kinda thick; I think it can hold you if you channel chakra to your feet" suggested the brunette as she pointed at the branch.
She felt a little sorry for the cat since it looked quite scared. But it was a high chance that it belonged to someone who wanted to have their cat back.

Suddenly, the girl noticed that the pet had something that shined around its neck. She narrowed her eyes; it turned out to be a collar of some sort. "Take a look at the cat senpai. It has a collar around its neck" said Yukiko as she pointed at the cat.
The cat definitely had to belong to someone if it had a collar with a nametag on its neck. Or perhaps it was a small bell?

"Hey, I think centaur's are pretty cool! Maybe you're bound to be an archer someday, huh?" commented the male with his usual smile. "Nah...I kind of want to train karate or something similar to that" replied the female while she looked at the centaur.
"The twentieth of May. I'm caught between being a Gemini and Taurus, some say, but I consider myself more of a Taurus than anything." informed Atlas.

Yukiko then looked at the sign for Taurus; it was a large bull with somewhat dangerous-looking horns on its head. The animal looked quite strong physically as well, but it was something with the animals eyes that made her a little less scared.
She then noticed that there were dates written under each sign. 'I wonder what Hi-kun and Ko-kun's zodiac sign is' thought the girl as she looked for the sign that covered their birthdate. A small snort of laughter escaped the Genin's mouth when she found their sign.

It turned out to be Gemini; it was portrayed by two identical young men who stood side by side. "Sorry. I just noticed that my twin brothers zodiac sign is Gemini...kinda funny when you look at the picture" said the girl as she looked up at the young man.
"I think we gotta go now senpai" stated the brunette when she noticed that they still had a somewhat large area of the market to cover. They continued on their walk through the crowds, which had now increased a little in size.

'Maybe it's more people since they have gotten home from work and are now here to buy things they need for the dinner. There are lots of stalls here that sells fresh fruit as well as meat' thought the female as she saw a lot of people queue up near a stand that had a sign that read 'Delicious peaches: 10 ryo for 3'.
Her taupe eyebrows raised a little in surprise when she saw a stall that sold all sorts of nuts. Yukiko recognized some of the types, but some of them were unfamiliar with her.

"Come here for the best apples in Kaminari no Kuni! Only 25 ryo per kilogram!" yelled a man with steel-blue hair that stood next to a stall that had a lot of people. "There's a lot of competition here" noted the female as she looked at the Chuunin.
Many of these people sold similar things, so they probably had to do their best to attract customers. And one of these things were to scream as loud as they could so people could hear what they had to offer.

((OOC: Nightmarket experience is based on a true story. And I learned about drugs when I was 10-11, so I assume that Yukiko knows some about them too. If this break with the PG-13 rule, I'll correct it and write that it was illegal imported ivory or something))

"I've spotted nothing yet. You think this place'll get a bit more active at night? I haven't been here in ages" said the male. "To be honest, I have never been in this part of the capital before. But the capital was a lot more lively at night; there were street performers and night markets" said the female with a small smile on her face.

"However...some of the people at the night market sold stuff that were kind of weird. Hi-kun found a nice wooden box with some funny leaves he wanted to buy, but mum told him to put it back. She said it was cannabis or something" said Yukiko with a chuckle.
The girl actually knew that cannabis was something that people took to get high. Her father had also told her that people could see weird things that were like genjutsus when they took it.

Apart from those things, it was pretty much all of what the Genin knew about illegal substances. Her eyes then spotted two monks that performed some really cool taijutsu moves. A small bowl laid under a sign that said: 'Please give us money so we can buy medication for our friend with pneumonia'.
She poked Atlas' arm before she nodded her head towards the duo who were now doing some sparring. "I think I can give them 10 ryo; Ko-kun had pneumonia for not a long time ago" muttered the female.

She put the backpacker on the ground before she found her camera plus some change. It was not everyday you saw monks like these, but her parents had told her to ask monks or similar people for permission first.
The brunette laid 10 ryo in the bowl and both of the monks did something that surprised her. They gave her a polite bow with a smile on their faces. "Uhm...can I take a photo of you?" asked the girl as she pointed at her camera.

Both of them nodded and Yukiko took a photo of the duo. "Thank you!" said the female before she walked back to the young man that travelled with her. "Where do you want to go next? I just want to get in bed before 9 PM since we have to go home tomorrow" said the Genin.
He was the leader of this mission after all, so maybe he had a better idea of where they should go next on their trip through the town.

The female felt her eyes widen in fear as all of the guys came over to them with a rather scary look at his face. Suddenly, the male stepped in front of her before he hold out his hands like guns towards the trio.
"BANG BANG BANG!" shouted Atlas as he started to shoot small streaks of lightening at them. Yukiko's eyes were on the size of dinner plates...was this a raiton jutsu? She had never seen it before.

"Hit'em hard, sis!" said the male as he looked at her with a smile. "YOU BET! FREEZE GUYS!" yelled the girl as she launched almost seven ice cold birds on the trio with a huge grin on her face.
All of the guys ran for their lives - the duo they had encountered proved out to be tougher than what they looked like. "I think we have to go to the police station with this" said the Genin after the yakuza trio had probably reached the end of the street.

Luckily, she saw a sign that read 'Police station' at the corner of the street. The female followed the direction of the sign and saw a rather minimalistic-style building that had the words 'Police station' written on it.
Both of them went inside; there were a couple of people who were queueing up in front of a counter. "I think it's best that you do the talking" said the Genin as they got in the queue. Chances were bigger they would take him more seriously than her.

"Here's the camera if you need it" said the girl as she zipped up her backpacker and handed him her camera. The atmosphere was relatively calm, but there was no doubt that the people here knew what they were doing.
'I wonder if they keep the prisoners here. This house is kinda small' thought the brunette as she looked around. She had only been to the Kumogakure police station on a school trip; it was remarkably smaller than this one.

"HA HA HA HA!" laughed the female when she heard the male's stomach growl rather loudly. "I-I...I think I'm pretty famished." said Atlas as he let out a nervous laughter. "Sorry senpai..." giggled Yukiko when she managed to gain some control over herself. "What do you say we have a good meal, hm? I'll pay for it." said the young man with a warm look in his emerald green eyes.

"ALL RIGHT!" said the girl as they headed for the ramen bar. She climbed up at the stool while the Chuunin greeted the chef. "I'll have a bowl of chicken mushroom, please. Don't skimp on the vegetables, too." said the male.
"What are you getting, kiddo?" asked the brunette as he looked in her direction.

"Uhm...could I have a small bowl with chicken ramen and vegetables? Please don't put any cabbage in there" said the Genin with a polite voice she used for adults she did not know that well.
The chef nodded as he started to work on the orders. "I have not had any ramen in ages" informed the female as she looked at her older companion. Which was true; she had not had any ramen in three weeks if not more.

Both of her parents wanted their children to eat healthy food, particularly since all of them would become shinobis one day. The brunette was also the role model for her two younger brothers. An idea popped into her head as she saw a police officer walk past them.
"Senpai, do you think we can patrol this area and spend the night here? We're not that far away from home anymore I think" said the girl.

She was not completely sure how far away they were, but they were a bit closer now compared to earlier today. But the young man knew this country a lot better than Yukiko did. Maybe he knew about an inn or a hotel that was closer to Kumogakure than the hotels that were located in this area.
"Here are your meals" said the chef as he placed both of the bowls on the table. It looked quite delicious and the smell was just as mouth-watering.

"Sure, why not?" said the male before the female handed him an onigiri. "Hey, kiddo. When your parents moved here... what was their reason for joining Kumogakure? As the experienced Jounin that they are, I've always found myself interested in their motives, their goals. I imagine they feel a great responsibility, and I'm sure they love Kumogakure just as much as any other citizen would... but have they ever told you their reasons for coming here?" asked Atlas.

Yukiko knit her taupe brows a little as she chewed on the onigiri. "Mum said they moved because the house in Yukigakure was too small and a bigger one would be too expensive. I also think she said something about that some of our relatives lived in Kaminari" said the girl.
She ate a little bit of vegetables before she closed the lunchbox. The rest of the meal would be eaten a little later when they were hopefully closer to some civilization.

"Senpai, we have to think about how we can get back to Kumogakure. We only have one more day and I would like to get back to Kumogakure before it gets too dark" informed the Genin as they continued on their hike through the country.
Fortunately, they had started to walk down from the mountain they had used as a shortcut. "I am pretty sure that's the main road to the capital" said the female as she pointed on a road ahead of them. She then remembered that she had passed this area sometimes when they went to the capital to visit her relatives.

It was noon now and the sun had warmed up the area around them a little bit. There were no clouds on the sky so far, but there was a small breeze that made the brunette feel slightly refreshed. 'Hm...is it only me or are the forests a little thinner now?' thought the girl as they started to walk through another forest.
There were less animals as well as trees compared to the forests they had been through earlier. But the reason for that would show itself when they had exited the forest.

On the other side was a large field with a barn as well as cowshed; both of them were somewhat large in size. "No wonder the forest was so small! They chopped some of it down so the animals could have a place to walk around!" exclaimed Yukiko in relief.
A large number of sheep were walking around on the field, most of them looked like they did not care much. "Aaaaw...look at the lambs over there" said the female as she pointed on a trio of lambs that laid in the grass next to their mother.
