Slowly, Ji descending down the spiraling tree one bough a time, directly above the three bandits he looked for so contentedly. They were tired and frightened, and while they were savages they were human and needed to stop and rest, even for the briefest of moments, but truthfully, that's all that Ji needed. Wasting no time at all, he descended down to the ground as fast and quietly as possible. Down on the ground, the rainfall continued to muffle his movements, even as he curved around to the group's immediate rear, flanking them as a result.
Armed with the aforementioned kunai -held in a reverse grip- he approached with muted steps and controlled breathing despite his heart racing in anticipation, urging him to release the pent up oxygen within his lungs. The closest of the three who'd also been the furthest away from the group turned out to be Ji's first victim.
Quietly, he sprung up to a full stand as a quick, free hand reached around and covered his mouth while the other brought the kunai's cold edge across his neck. Applying as much pressure and force as possible, the edge cut deep. Through the rainfall and from Ji's hand, the sounds of his struggle were silenced until he fully faded from that world.
Now only two remained, however, in an attempt to check up on their furthest partner, the one forward and to the left of Ji looked back and compromised Ji's presence. Intuitively, the same hand that swept across the former's throat, flung forward and released the steel blade from his hand. Over a short distance, it zoomed frighteningly fast, at least for the bandit. Unable to clearly identify the thread and adjust, its tip dug deep into his left eye. His immediate screams alerted the righter most bandit who, at that point, sprung up to his feet, turned to Ji, and charged.!!!
