BOOM!

Carnage and destruction echoed thorouought the air as it seemed as if one of our party had decided to hang back in order to create an impressive display of fireworks. Of course- I didn’t exactly condone that sort of behaviour seeing as it could have jeopardized the whole operation if the building decided to fall down on us by the hands of the perpetrator who I could only but guess as Akikou since her late entry to the field, but at the same time, it was sure as hell effective. Gauging the leader’s response it was exactly as I’d hoped it would be, although his threat of killing us all would be short-lived as I was too busy to come to my demise, especially here. I had plans back in Kusagakure and this would merely take a little bit out of my time, although I was content with the knowledge that upon my arrival back in the village, I’d be able to pick up a sum of money for the work shown today, and the satisfaction knowing that the plans of Kaju no Sato would be shattered, much like the window glass of the balding man’s office. Drawing chakra to my hand, I’d wait.

Without warning, Ni would rush. His speed, astonishing as he moved towards Hyūga, his arms at the ready to his side; the other three did nothing more but holding their ground for their precautions were already intact.

My eyes detecting movement ahead, I’d watch as one of the guards charged forward towards one of my team. Myself- I had this leader to take care of and, standing a total 25 meters away from him it gave me excellent leeway for our fight, although charging ahead blindly on my part would be foolish. Instead- I waited for him to make the first move- Or maybe not. Drawing a kunai from my arsenal using my chakra-imbued hand I’d then throw it forwards towards the balding man, my Fuuton ability carrying it at a total speed of 15 meters per second. With 25 meters to cross, it would merely take roughly a second and a half to get to its destination- The chest of the leader. With it out of my hands now, I’d watch. I was confident that it would be tough to dodge, but it was simply so I could gauge his response, as I figured he should have some degree of ability that he could dodge the kunai, even at the speed it was travelling, its lightning-quick speed cutting through the air like a hot knife through butter. If he didn’t, it would surely prove a fatal blow, cutting in to his ribcage and given the speed, it would surely either get lodged in painfully, or shoot right through, although I figured the former would be more correct.

I now waited for his response, my hands in front of me, and ready to do anything.

Eye contact ensued as the silence began to wrap around the both of us again, giving us both a similar disposition in this very moment. I’d then stand in await, my hands having now shifted to my hips as I looked on- Surprisingly, he was taller than I was, but then again, even with the concept of handsomeness being much different to feminine charm, my beauty couldn’t be placed on the sidelines. My gaze almost mystifying, I kept watching him as the stillness soon broke, revealing the words which he had so carefully kept from me over the last few minutes. With my eyes I watched his expression as he explained to me exactly what he wanted from me before our villages would become united, and if anything, my own response was somewhat.. perplexed, but at the same time, so intrigued by what the Kazekage had planned. Despite the inexplicable reason that he’d posed I continued to take his words in and respect them at the least. If it wasn’t important to him, then he surely wouldn’t have told me about it, right? However despite this and the treaty that we were currently in the process of making, how did I know that his own personal plan didn’t include my own village in a way that I didn’t condone?

But this was all so interesting. I’d always been one to delve in to the plans of others and I enjoyed knowing exactly what was happening, so there was no question as to whether I’d go onwards and try to become part of whatever plan he had in his mind. Of course, I was already expecting for him to deny my mind from learning what he had in store for whoever his plan was targeted towards, although from what he’d past said, I’d expected that it surely wouldn’t have included my own village in a bad way because if it did, how did he expect me to want to spread the word about his reached goals? I’d leave a slight amount of tension between the end of his words and the start of mine, but nothing that made it awkward. It wouldn’t be too soon until my words graced the air again.

”..Maybe..

..Kazekage..

..I could help you sometime.”

And now- As I stood at such a distance to him, I began to take in his appearance. His personality had roughly been judged already although I couldn’t be too sure as after all; I’d only known him for an hour at the least, and previously he’d attempted to lie in order to cover up his true status as Kazekage. It was understandable since I could have been anyone, an assassin perhaps having broken in to the village on a manic warpath to find him and capture his head but fortunately for him, I couldn’t have been more different at the current time. My offer had been spoken and now as a loose moment of silence occurred between the both of us, I’d wait in await for his reply. He couldn’t have been much older than I was, and from the sheer number of village leaders I’d managed to feast my eyes upon in my time, I’d grown to find that it was somewhat strange seeing as the majority of them had been young, but then again, I was as well, but my circumstances were different. My mind ushered me back to my youth- Atlas Burabiya- He couldn’t have been more than five years older than I was, if the rumours of him being the Raikage were true. I hadn’t seen him since all those years ago, and since then I figured that so many things had changed to the both of us. I wonder if he still has that hair.. I’d always remembered him for his flaming auburn mane.

And then the dark haired shinobi would speak once more, revealing what words he had beneath his tongue, and I could only watch from my current position of twelve meters, my head now facing his direction as my blue eyes watched his features contort whilst voicing words. He looked young- But then again, so did I. But now, speaking with the words of a leader much older than himself he went ahead and so carefully chose to agree to what I’d said, that Kusagakure would be a good ally to have seeing as at the moment his own village had little to no supporters bar from its own shinobi. I’d managed to harbour official village relations with Iwagakure and I had several other villages to chase down, but Sunagakure would be the second if he found enough intelligence within him to bow down before me and answer on my whim. I relished in his speech but at the end he suggested something else that he required before sealing the deal which we’d created- Which I had come prepared for of course, but what exactly did he have in mind? It was almost like a business, we were dealing in our shinobi and in our features, and at the moment negotiations continued as he seemed to require some kind of bargaining chip- What did he want? Money?

”..I know that I am getting a lot by going into this alliance with you, but there is one more thing that I want from you, before we make this thing official..”

he would begin to close the distance between the two, the ten meters between them was devoured, but he had remained the three meters to the right of her

I would allow this passage to occur although I still remained on my guard if he spontaneously chose to destroy the whole operation and lash out at me or something like that. Of course- As he moved closer I could only expect that he wanted what every man wanted from me, although perhaps he was more out in the open about it. I was unsure but jumping to conclusions wasn’t useful, and so I repressed whatever I had began to think of in response to his last statement, still wondering exactly what he wanted. Information? Shaking my head a little bit, the cascading blonde waves rumbling again around my head, the dark would bring little justice to the vibrant blonde tone that it was, but even in the small light that the sky had begun to show from dawn, it glowed, a stark contrast to the Kazekage’s own black hair. However, time had passed and I left a moment or so between replying to him. I had contemplated his question enough, and it wasn’t as if I wasn’t prepared to give more than he himself gave since the agreement itself was double-sided, and now I’d ask, my tone still as sweet as ever but with a definite hint of seriousness- But even now in this time of significance I embodied the very soul of feminity, my glassy blue eyes blinking heavily as I listened.

”..Go on.”

I ushered him to continue, my words, despite there being little, meant so much.

Just what were his terms?

“But, how do I know that you will always keep your word, Kusakage-chan?"

It seemed as if my words had seeped in to his hungry mind and had some effect on him as he responded to the words that I’d said. Of course, neither of us knew all about the other so his wariness towards the situation was very understandable, as I, almost out of nowhere was coming to him and proposing that the two of our villages become allies, despite the fact that I’d mysteriously made it in to his village without him even knowing, something which I wouldn’t explain to him as it concerned matters that no one should know. Soratsu was a fucking dyke when he wanted to be, but he’d become useful to me, and securing his fate as dead was important to himself and I. I couldn’t afford to give it away, although he didn’t have to know about that. Leaving my blue eyes keep watch on him for a few moments as I took in more aspects of his slightly feminine appearance, my answer would be paused, although the silence in-between the both of us wasn’t doused in awkwardness, and neither did it give any indication that I was perhaps bluffing. I wasn’t making things up, of course- I honestly hoped for relations with Sunagakure as far as my village was concerned, but what did he mean with his last statement? If anything- How was I meant to know that he would always keep his word? I’d keenly grin as I pushed back another stray blonde hair from my eyes;

”..Personally, I can’t afford to have the entire population of Sunagakure out to hunt me.

Or plunge my village in any problems, at that.”

I’d indicate that should I cut ties with Sunagakure once the treaty was created- Should it be created- that my drive to not break it was because I didn’t exactly want to have to deal with all of the backlash that was formed, which was fair enough. Kusagakure was a small developing village even now and having a stable one come knocking at our door for war surely wasn’t any good news. Perhaps it was stubbornness that prevented me from thinking of any other reason. If Kusagakure was to ally with Suna and if the Kazekage demanded to know how I would keep my word- How exactly would I be assured that he would keep up his end of the deal? How was I to know that he’d crumble beneath the persuasion of another village and draw a close to whatever pact we’d previously made? ”..But what can be said for you on the matter, Kazekage?” I’d say in a more playful tone than before as I demanded his devotion for the cause which I was putting in front of him. I was unsure of his own terms and conditions, but I was sure that if he was an intelligent man then he’d follow my lead and link his village with my own as Kusagakure was fast becoming not a mere collectivization of people who’d managed to make it out from the rubble and devestation that the wars had brought on us, but a village with its own ideals- my ideals. And at the moment, I wanted nothing more than to gain allies for my home at such a crucial time. Was he selfish enough to decline me this?
