Esei has long, raven colored hair, coupled with the genetic black eyes passed down from the Uchiha heritage. His eye color stays crimson besides gaining tomoe whenever he activates his famed "Sharingan". His newly dyed aquamarine hair is almost kept in a messy bun that keeps all of his bangs from hanging in front of his face, causing him discomfort. Esei has clear, pale skin; no blemishes nor scars corrupting his skin besides a tattoo of a dragon like beast covering most of the left side of his body, including his arm.
He wears a tight tank top on top of his toned body that he achieved from continuous training for most of his life, as well as black pants and tight sandals that allow for precise movement without the risk of falling off of his feet. Covering his basic wear is a white male kimono kept in place with a black datemaki to keep the kimono in place. On top of the kimono is a piece of black cloth akin to a jacket with the symbol of the Uchiha in red located in the center of the back of the jacket. Esei carries the cloth atop of his shoulders usually never putting his hands through the baggy sleeves.
Esei is always seen with a smile on his face, or at least some type of expression showing how he feels during that time. He isn't one of those emotionless ninja, instead he shows his feelings quite proudly. Since he is such a lax individual he enjoys wearing his kimono because it allows for a more comfortable feeling instead of the standard issued ninja equipment, which is why his hair is also so untidy. He doesn't really care too much about his looks, so his hair grew, and grew, until he finally put it into a bun-like formation.

Esei has been the same ever since he was little, an easily excited, optimistic person. He enjoys the little things in life, trying to see everything for what it really is. Esei isn't really one to jump the gun, especially in combat. He carefully thinks about what he's going to do before he follows through with his actions. Esei learned from past experiences that it wasn't smart to jump into things without thinking, which led to his strategic approach today.
He doesn't enjoy being alone, he loves the company of other people, almost always preferring to be with another person than by himself. Esei is a kind individual, although he does have a sarcastic side to him that some people consider quite cruel; but he does it out of love, or at times, boredom. Don't judge a book by its cover! Just because he looks like he can't be serious, when the time comes and something is needed done he's ready to do so.
How else do you think he got to Chūnin? Esei has a work ethic like no one else, coupled with his intelligence makes a pretty strong foe. He is dedicated, always giving his all when doing something, especially if the certain job is to his liking. But that wasn't the only reason he dedicated himself to everything he did. He was an Uchiha, and from what his parents taught him about his ancestry they were the greatest that lived. He wanted to live up to that ideal, the ideal that as an Uchiha you had to be the best around, and no one was allowed to be better.
So day in, and day out Esei allowed that ideal to shape who he was. He trained for hours, helped around the village, and tried to do as much as he could to be recognized for his talents in his village. Clinging onto that ideal made him who he is, and still believes that he must give 110% at all times and cannot disappoint his village. He isn't just doing this for himself, he's doing it for the entire Uchiha Heritage.
Overall, he's a nice, intelligent guy who doesn't jump the gun when it comes to serious things. Sometimes he doesn't think before he talks and squeezes out a sarcastic comment but you can't get mad at this face, can you? He works hard, and doesn't let anyone belittle his family, nor friends. However, he does try to avoid unnecessary fights because he is trying to promote peace, but sometimes peace can only be achieved through fighting.

Backstory
The reason behind an Uchiha ending up in Kusagakure.
Back before Esei was even born, his parents lived in Konohagakure. All was fine, and no one even thought of moving anywhere. However, the moment that the first shinobi war started his parents decided to head to a smaller village, in hopes of the war not involving them there. Especially since Esei's mother was then pregnant with him, the decision was made without a second thought. His parents back their bags and moved towards Kusagakure, which at the time was corrupted enough to accept anyone who came right to their doorstep.
However, before they knew it around the time Esei was fourteen years old the village was attacked, and destroyed before their very eyes. Esei's father was killed in the attack in an attempt to protect his family. Esei and his mother made it out alive before erasing themselves from existence and living in a unknown town twenty miles away from where Kusagakure itself used to stand. Years later however, rumors were spiraling around about the village restoring itself. Those rumors excited Esei and he eventually went out and seen the village standing for himself.
Him and his mother moved back in, and have been living there ever since.
