Tier One: Fleet of Foot[/u] – As a more combat experienced medic, shinobi with this mastery are incredibly more agile than your typical shinobi. Because of this, medics move at x1.5 the speed of your typical shinobi. This bonus does not stack with the taijutsu primary bonus.

Tier Two – Herculean Might [/u]: With refined chakra precision comes a greater force from it’s release. From this, the user has effectively learned to double the damage from all Souin based attacks. This “stacked damage” cannot exceed SS.

Tier Three – Yin Seal Compression :[/u] At this level, the chakra precision is so great that the user can gather chakra into a singular point on their body. Small partitions of chakra are stored over a long period of time to a degree that the medic will not feel the drain. The user will gain one Infuin stack for every two IC post they make. Stacks are consumed by activating the seal with the proper techniques, listed below. It is the player’s job to keep track of their Infuin stacks. Failure to do so will result in administration handing out a default of ten charges.

Description: Basic yet lethal, an immense amount of chakra is kneaded inside the body, and a moment later all of it it is gathered into the fist. That chakra is then released into the target, which does a great amount of damage. With the damage done dependent on the amount of chakra used, it is also possible for a skilled shinobi to amass it in their fingertip. When the ground is hit it is pulverized into minute pieces by the excess shock, which are then scattered like flower petals, giving rise to the name "Cherry Blossom Impact".

Description: Yet another versatile aspect of the Medic's Chakura no Iko style is their ability to produce fine amounts of chakra, at once, for destructive reasons. In this case, the medic sends a healthy wave of chakra at their feet, initiating an explosion that allows them an impressive forward leap. As they land, another chakra burst serves to cushion their landing, as the area around is slightly destroyed by the sudden displacement of one's chakra to soften the landing.

Description: Youton, the marriage of Earth, Fire, yields a new and truly terrifying substance - lava. Essentially, as their control over the kekkei touta grows, so will the strength of the corrosion of lava, as well as the size and area of control. In their most basic state, the Youton user is able to summon a fixed amount of Lava within an designated area, and further the birthing by controlling the substance to their will.

This jutsu can also be used to reinforce existing barriers 'stacking' the total defensive ability either for chakra (only Youton or Doton releases) or non-chakra based defenses such as gates and doors.
Description: Youton: Idai Gomuheki is a unique defensive based Youton jutsu altering Youton chakra's physical form. After performing the necessary handseals the user slams both their hands on the ground creating an enormous torrent of lava from the ground directly in front of them. This then forms into a wall of unique nature possessing immense durability due to its conversion into a rubbery material with a consistency that allows the material to deform when attacked, meaning it can both absorb and dissipate the force behind a blow rather than just simply obstruct it.

Description: Shooting out at a fast speed, the user sends a flowing stream of magma rushing at their target. The user can melt the ground nearby and release a steady stream of magma for one second for each rank of Fushokuzai they posses (D = 1 second, S = 5 seconds). When it is suits the user or when there is no earth to melt, Yōton practitioners can spit magma from their mouths.

Description: The Lava Shuriken is a ninjutsu technique that allows the user to utilize their lava powers in order to create deadly projectiles. Using their chakra to control nearby lava, the user will hurl disks of molten magma at their opponent, a bit larger than conventional shuriken. Spinning through the air at high speeds, these disks are deadly in strength, inflicting large amounts of damage to the target and surrounding objects, as well as burning through almost everything.

Special: Creates a rubbery rope of lava to either bind opponents or rescue an ally. Devoid of any burning or corrosive properties, this skill is non lethal and is more of a utility skill than a combative technique.
Description: After forming hand seals, the user can summon a rope of molten material from a source of their choosing. Due to the unique way chakra is molded to perform this technique, the lava is transformed into a rubbery, cool, and pliable material that can touch anything, including human flesh, without inflicting burns.

Description: The user will first perform the necessary handseals before channeling Earth and Fire chakra into their mouth, molding the two natures together. Upon firing the user will puff out their cheeks as far as possible, spitting a large blob of corrosive lava at the target(s). This technique can also be manipulated to block doors and narrow exists using the hardening process of lava to prevent a target from escaping. After one turn, any blobs used will hardened.

Youton: Seisekkai Kichou no jutsu (Lava Release: Quicklime Screen Technique)

Special: Range of the quicklime cloud is equivalent to half of the user's Fushokuzai rank. Quicklime is extremely reactive to water, causing a volatile exothermic reaction on contact; simply put, when a large volume of water comes into contact with the cloud, it releases heat capable of causing extreme burning damage to those within it (3rd degree burns). The heat from the reaction will persist for roughly two posts, inflicting damage each turn.
Description: After forming seals, the users spits a cloud of quicklime from their mouth, capable of covering a great amount of area on the battlefield. The quicklime fills the area at a moderate rate and cause slight irritation of the eyes and throat when inhaled, though the extent of this damage is negligible. However, whether it be a natural source of water or the performing of a Suiton technique that creates a large volume of water passes through the cloud, the quicklime reacts violently, causing the substance to combust, lighting the cloud on fire and causing extensive burning damage that can melt right through a target's skin if caught within the cloud.

Youton: Gomubunshin no Jutsu (Lava Release: Rubber Clone Technique)

Special: Up to one clone can be made at a time, plus one more each time retrained, for a maximum of five (5). When defeated, these clones release a large (2 meter) explosion of highly adhesive rubber, which is capable of binding and restricting a target for a total of three posts. In order to remove themselves from this sticky substance, the victim must exert a force of chakra equivalent to one High. Any form of damage will cause the clones to detonate.
Description: With this technique, the Youton user is able to call upon aid from a perfect copy of themselves. Comprised purely of rubbery lava, this clone retains the user's movement speed and can share linked mental judgement. Best of all, when struck physically, most items and attacks become trapped in the sticky substance. Finally, when defeated, the clone explodes into a blob of adhesive rubber, trapping victims in a sticky mess.

Shakugaryūgan no Jutsu (Scorching Stream Rock Technique)

Special: Strength of corrosion and range of the dispersing boulders of molten rock depends on the users highest level of 'Fushokuzai'. Initially four boulders can be produced, with another boulder after every retraining, for a maximum of ten boulders. Boulders are half the size of an average human male. Chakra consumption increases by one for every three retrainings.
Description: After forming the necessary handseals the user will place their hand to their mouth and expel a large amount of lava from their mouth, which quickly solidifies into multiple boulders of molten rock. These molten rocks are fired towards the target with tremendous force. Due to their composition after being solidified, the boulders are able to melt through mostly any object with ease. A considerable number can be created and dispersed over a wide range in quick succession. Also, each boulder can be connected with a stream of lava causing a "net" like formation, making it much more difficult to dodge.

Special: Width, height, and range of the sheet is 1/5th the user’s maximum highest Fushokuzai known. The corrosiveness, however, correlates directly to the highest rank of Fushokuzai known.
Description: The user will first perform the needed hand seals before releasing a large amount of corrosive lava from their mouth, which spreads into a broad, thin sheet as it travels through the air. Since the lava is shot upwards in a severe arc so as to descend onto the targets from above, it prevents the intended individuals from jumping up to avoid the attack. A great deal of steam is created afterwards by the effects of the lava, so should the target still be alive, a follow-up attack can be executed while the target's vision is obscured. After two turns, the lava used from this technique will harden.

Youton: Sekkaigyou no Jutsu (Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique)

Special: The force required to break out of the hardened quicklime is equivalent to the cost of the jutsu itself (x2 high). The range at which this technique can be used is equivalent to the user’s highest known Fushokuzai rank. Once it makes contact with a surface, the quicklime hardens instantly after a half turn delay. Quicklime is extremely reactive to water, causing a volatile exothermic reaction on contact; simply put, when this technique gets wet, it releases heat capable of causing extreme burning damage to those touching it (3rd degree burns). The heat from the reaction will persist for roughly two entire posts, inflicting damage each turn.
Description: Sekkaigyou no Jutsu is one of the few jutsu within Youton’s domain that doesn’t melt its target outright. After forming handseals, the user spits a cement-like substance onto the field. The quicklime wave can expand and cover a great amount of volume on the field, adhering to objects and solidifying through chemical reactions within a matter of seconds. However, the constricting property of the quicklime isn't the best effect; if the quicklime is ever to come into contact with a sufficient amount of water, another chemical reaction occurs that is significant to the Youton Element. Due to quicklime being extremely reactive to water, it causes a volatile exothermic reaction immediately on contact, releasing a certain amount of heat that can range from first-degree burns, to third-degree burns, to melting straight through the opponent!

[/li][li]Apparel:[/u]: Her wardrobe, whatever the occasion, is quite revealing, partly to keep long, flowing garments from catching aflame from a carless glob of lava, and partly to show off her physique. A brightly colored (usually red) bikini top covers her bosom, and small denim shorts cover her lower region. Her equipment bags are strapped to her hip, and a sheathed sword can usually be seen strapped over her shoulder. Traditional ninja tabi adorn her feet on normal occasions, however, she does own a variety of combat boots and high heeled shoes for more appropriate venues. She also has a few vests and jackets which she wears, always open down the front, which are changed to reflect the occasion or just to add a bit of variety to her style.

[/li][li]Body Appearance[/u]: Hotaru has a long and lithe frame. She stands a bit above the average height for a kunoichi, and her body is packed with lean muscle. Her form is rather curvaceous, and the first feature most people seem to notice are her rather large breasts. Her skin is a pale peach hue marred with a few scars from training accidents and dyed down her sternum with a bright scarlet tattoo. Long crimson hair falls to the small of her back, the tips of which are highlighted with streaks of blonde. Her hair is usually pulled into a ponytail to keep it out of her eyes, held back by her Iwagakure headband or a few colorful hair ties.

• Personality

[/u]: Highly eccentric, violent and unpredictable, Hotaru can be a handful for even the most patient individual. Often times, her actions make little sense to those around her, though usually she has an underlying cause for her behavior regardless of how abstract the concept. A glint out of the corner of her eye has alerted her to a expertly disguised tripwire in her path, causing her to pick up a teammate bound over the trap that would have otherwise been activated. Put simply, a combination of keen analytical skills and an impulsive predisposition make her a capable shinobi; for better or for worse.

Along with her observant eye comes a sharp mind. Her brain is constantly churning, though whether it is pertinent to the task at hand is another topic entirely. She finds herself formulating complex battle strategies during meetings and thinking about what to make for dinner when she returns from a mission during a stealthy stakeout. Luckily, her mental distractions are often short lived, letting her avoid too much trouble before she snaps back to a more appropriate state of mind.

With her high degree of intelligence comes a natural distrust in authority. Often feeling that she knows best, Hotaru has a difficult time following orders blindly, and has, on occasion disobeyed orders she doesn’t feel like following. As such, working with her, or working above her, can be a nightmare should she deem ideas and plans posed to be too complicated, unnecessary, or just plain stupid.

Despite her eccentricities, Hotaru is a loyal friend to those that she deems worthy. Though she can be inappropriate, blunt, crass, and juvenile, her skills have proven useful enough to justify keeping her around...at least for now.

Akira Kushinada:[/u] The current Mizukage and the reason Hotaru became a member of Kirigakure, the two seem to understand each other despite their frequent exchange of caustic words. Though she respects him as a fighter, Hotaru cares little for his title, which doesn't seem to bother Akira. Mostly obedient to his whims as kage as a means of maintaining a comfortable lifestyle, their relationship seems to be going well, though nothing to test their bond has been presented.


Uchiha Akuharu[/u]: Hotaru's partner and so far the only person whom she can tolerate to work with. He is enigmatic, and many members of the village seem to respect his abilities. Despite him winning the Exams she designed, Hotaru still thinks of and treats Akuharu like a genin and constantly picks on his appearance and demeanor. They have yet to engage in an obligatory 'teammate heart to heart', though a formal bonding session will likely only bring them closer.

THREAD TRACKER[/u][/font][/size]


Crumbled Remains - "The headband that used to be worn with pride was now gripped weakly in her hands, the sturdy mountain engraving no longer capable of capturing the spirit of the village. A kunai was pulled from a weapon pouch on her left hip, and violet eyes showed hesitation before she gouged a deep scratch across the metal plate. She exhaled slowly at the completion of the symbolic crime, showing not only herself, but anyone who looked at her that she had forsaken Iwagakure."

Leaving her village behind, Hotaru took to the world as a missing ninja. However, she wasn't homeless for long. Venturing to the distant land of Mizu no Kuni, she encountered their current Kage, Kushinada Akira, in the forest. Offering her asylum in exchange for her talents as a shinobi, Hotaru accepted, joining the ranks for Kirigakure.


Slight Work[/url] - Hotaru cracked her knuckles and stretched, limbering up for their spar. She watched Akira toss his jacket to the side and draw a sword. He warned her to not hold back and she smirked. Restraint was one concept she was just not comfortable with.

Barred from any 'important' work for the first few months of her service to Kirigakure, the Chuunin accepted a job guarding the tower, a low key and worthless job usually assigned to those unfit for combat. However, Akira appeared and suggested the two spar to pass the time. Though ultimately losing the match, Hotaru held her own with an impressive display of medical prowess that even surprised the Mizukage.


Pas de Cheval - "I know this is supposed to be a 'get to know each other' and 'start being bestest friends' kinda deal, but that's really not my style. Besides, getting to know you personally won't be worth very much if you get yourselves killed on the first mission. So. We're gonna see what you're capable of with a little...training exercise."

Finally allowed to take on a real task, Hotaru was assigned a team of genin to supervise. However, after a classic test of her new students abilities, they were deemed unfit for service and reassigned to a less demanding instructor.


Shakedown! - As she walked out of the mission compound, she immediately regretted her decision to team up for this assignment. The genin instantly started to offer salutations, explanations and inquisitions. He introduced himself as Ekitai Hozuki, which was the only useful information Hotaru had taken from him talking. With an eyebrow raised, she took the time to examine her mission partner more closely. Dressed in attire more suitable for butlering than fighting mercenaries, it was obvious to Hotaru why her elder was still a genin.

Further demonstrating her inability to work with others, Hotaru took a mission with an unassigned Kirigakure Genin. Complaining about his strange demeanor nearly the entire trip to the island where the task took place, the duo separated in order to rid the landmass of bandits and collect documentation of their activity. Successful in their endeavor, they safely returned home, however, she has not worked with the genin again.


Army of Me - She sighed, her voice echoing around the empty foyer. Countless panes of glass reflected feint glimmers of light back at her, but she had no idea what to make of it. She thought it best to leave them alone for now. Following her clone, she cautiously made her way up the stairs to the stadium seating.

Taking a leadership role in the future of the world's genin, Hotaru was tested to become a Chuunin Examiner. Her task was to decommission an old examination field, which was done quickly. With the title under her belt, she went on to design one of the most successful examinations to date.


Hidden Deep Within - A lot was going on between the three shinobi. The long haired figure fell over, while another seemingly teleported close to enough to the disabled shinobi to stab him with a katana. The most distant shinobi had formed a few seals an a few Large blocks of ice materialized in the distance. Whatever was going on, Hotaru wanted answers. Mindless fighting would not be tolerated by the Kirigakure Chuunin. One or more of them could be members of the village, and despite wanting to stay out of the way a bit longer, her medical training wasn’t able to resurrect someone who was already dead.

On patrol in Mizu no Kuni, Hotaru stumbled on a confrontation between two missing ninja and a Kirigakure Genin. Ganging up on her ally, Hotaru covered all of the attackers in quicklime in order to investigate. Killing the two attackers, she took their bodies back to the village in order to sort out the mess caused by the criminals.


Kirigakure's Somatology Laboratory - Entering the new laboratory, Hotaru couldn't help but smirk at the sight of her new domain. The recent addition to village was a technological marvel, equipped with the most advanced technology could buy. The addition of this facility was made all the more impressive by the fact that she was in charge of it. Yes, Akira had practically given her free reign over the containers, samples, and information in the facility; which was a freedom afforded to her by her recent promotion to head medical ninja.

Kirigakure's Somatology Laboratory is located just south of the Mizukage tower, comfortably tucked away against one of the larger walls and nearby towers. The tower directly to the main establishment's left contains the majority of their documented work, extending several (roughly ten) stories high. Each floor has about ten to five rooms, where medical shinobi do their literary research and scrutinize old findings. It is in this building that Hotaru was made "Head Medical Officer" of Kirigakure.

Since taking charge, she manages an inventory of biological specimen and has performed two transplants.

Since she had problems working with genin, Hotaru was assigned a newly titled chuunin as her partner. For their introductions, they were assigned a mission where the dead had sprung to life and ate the flesh of the living. Though a dangerous mission, the duo managed to get to know each other and even pick up a vagrant Chuunin formally of Takigakure. Despite their differences, Hotaru enjoys Akuharu's company, and feels like she finally has found a teammate worth keeping.
