[OOC: Enter with Bit. Continued from A Morning Escort]
In the clearing, the Hyuuga compound stood as a circular bastion. Its stone walls rose high up and only parted to a lone gate at the base of a high-rising-arch. Even from outside, the mansion, which rested at its heart, could be seen; protected by its own thick, graying stone. Around it, several smaller buildings led way to open training grounds, dojos and loosely tilled fields, with overgrown foliage that grew ever upwards alongside outer and inner banks. The hazy yellow-green of moss, and weeds showed ever present signs of overgrowth from the forest that encased and surrounded the entire compound in all directions. Before the gateway now, Naomi, stepped first approaching with a confidence that suggested she had often passed through it.
Although, it was not she whom the watch eyed; she belonged in a way that the other did not. Beyond the archway, several members gathered and stared, even as she stood defensively in front of her companion; almost as if she was saying: “He's with me.” Out of respect though, she did not pass through the crux of the archway; instead she waited compliantly. Per the proper security regulations, visitors had to be granted permission to step within the walls of the compound. In this case, her presence was not enough of an explanation to justify the stranger's arrival. After all, she whom bore the cursed seal could not be trusted whole-heartily as kin whom did not.
“He's a friend,” she explained. “We'll only be here a short while, and for that I didn't see the need to leave him behind.” From a distance, it was hard to tell if the watch were convinced by her. However, she knew for a fact that they would not stop her from entering the compound; and if they truly saw him as a threat, then there was no way to get around that. With that in mind, she started through the arch and continued on into the compound proper. “I am to report the completion of my charge.” She further explained, for those that watched stared at her, but more specifically, through her. In truth they wanted to see the person that hid behind her veil of protection. Considering he was nearly a foot taller than herself, that wasn't much of a problem. In fact, she could have hidden behind him much more efficiently.
