It was the night of Ryuusuke's return, and the streets of Konohagakure were flooded with excitement and celebration. Nearly everyone in the village's borders had come out that night to welcome the former Hokage; friends, family, and even complete strangers. The stillness that usually defined the majority of the night was shattered by the endless beat and rhythm of music, cheers, and laughter. The darkness that accompanied the late hours was burned away by the countless lanterns and torches, illuminating the Village Hidden in the Leaves like a star against the bottomless depths of space.

Villagers sang their praises to the fabled Uchiha, and gave their thanks to the to whichever deity it was that saw fight to breathe life back into the man's lungs. His supposed death was no secret among the people he had led with such unmatched fervor, yet without a body as proof, many had simply chosen to believe he'd been injured and, when the time was right, that he would return to them -- to his people. And while none of them would ever know the truth, the fact that he was there, now, was all that mattered to them.

It was hard to believe that such a wonderful, intricate event had been orchestrated by the young boy who looked at the former Hokage as his father. Ashura hadn't spent too much time away from Ryuusuke since his return, yet somehow he'd managed to pull together such an extraordinary event. Of course, the current Hokage, Kohana Hyuuga, had a rather large role to play in it all. While Ashura had spent the majority of his time keeping Ryuusuke busy, she was the one who had sent the orders and had her ninja gather the supplies.

It had been pieced together wonderfully, and Ashura couldn't have imagined it better.

"Welcome home, Ryuusuke-sama," Ashura said again as he hugged his father. They'd been at the party for quite some time now, yet the boy couldn't seem to get enough of welcoming his father. It'd been -- well, it'd simply been too long. But, there was something else on his mind. Something that hadn't been thought of until earlier that day, before he greeted him at the gates, when he was at the library.

Smiling his usual wide, toothy smile, Ashura looked up to Ryuusuke. "There's someone I want you to meet, Ryuusuke-sama." Blinking, Miyako's face flashed before his eyes. "I'll let you know when she gets here."

Notice: This is an open event for all of Konohagakure to attend, celebrating the return of the Ryuusuke Uchiha, the former Hokage. At the beginning of this thread, it's roughly nine at night. There's no posting order, so write your heart out!

dear lord, what was miyako thinking? she wasn't thinking, that was the issue. after a couple of beers with her friends at her apartment, she had been talked into attending the "party of the year" as they were calling it. the return of uchiha ryuusuke had really sparked a big fuss, unsurprisingly. miyako had thought about going when she'd heard of it, even just for a little bit, but she'd pushed the idea aside and settled for a night in with her favourite book. but no, when asuna and naota turned up on her front step with beer, vodka and a bag full of dresses, make up and shoes, her night turned into something much more unpleasant. for her at least. hamasaki miyako did not do parties too well. she liked little shindigs, get togethers at a friends place, even a quiet night at a bar. but this? this was a bit much. there were people everywhere. she'd turn, bump into someone, go to move aside, bump into someone. it was suffocating.

"i need more alcohol for this, guys--" she turned to her friends but they had already disappeared. bitches, miyako deadpanned, knowing exactly where their drunk asses had taken them. asuna had a boyfriend she was sure to catch up with and naota was chasing pussy. brilliant. miyako was left to herself, all dressed up with no friend in sight. she felt ridiculous. the girls had made her dress up to the extreme, although thankfully from what miyako was seeing of the other females at the party, she hadn't gone overboard.

everyone seemed to want to look their best tonight. some girls were wearing kimonos, others had gone for more modern options like miyako. who for once in a blue moon was wearing a dress that was at least one size too small, but by some luck she managed to pull it off. it was a red number, with too much of the front cut out, showing an eyeful of cleavage. the spaghetti halter strap was doing a commendable job of keeping everything up and together. she felt positively naked though, with a large chunk of the back of the dress also cut out. she was thankful at least that the length came down past her knees, even if it clung to every curve on it's way down. her shoes weren't helping either, four inch black heals didn't provide any security or comfort.

one thing was for sure though, miyako needed to find the bar. or at least a familiar face. the crowd was more spread out now, thank gosh. able to move around she started walking around, smiling and waving at a few people she recognised, ignoring a couple of looks, but mostly just admiring the party. she might not like big parties or crowds much, but this was definitely a nice shindig. she wondered if ashura was the one to organise it. the little boy had told her about ryuusuke being his step-father. when the news about the famous uchiha's return had made it to miyakos ears, the first thing she'd thought of was how lovely it would be for ashura to have regained him. it was then that miyako realised she'd been subconsciously looking for the little runt. he couldn't be too hard to find, right?

So...many...people. She could only stare from where she stood, which was high upon a light pole above the "Party of the year" that was going on down below. It's not like she had a problem with the Nidaime returning, it's just...she wasn't all too fond of all this closeness to people. Seriously, just look at that. Naiya's amber eyes shifted over to a large group of people randomly cheering and screaming as she jumped around and hugged each other. Merely staring at it alone Naiya's left eye twitched out of aggravation.

Though to say the least having to set this up was aggravating, but it was the Hokage's orders. She herself wasn't in the least bit happy about participating in such an event, due to the quantity of people participating, but the least she could do was patrol around and make sure thing's are safe.

She was hesitant however, not particularly fond of getting so close to people. Well she had a job to do so she should get right to it! There was at least something good out of this party, and it's not simply the return of the Nidaime either, the music and the dancing. That much she liked. She jumped off the pole and came landing on the ground, people scattered from her quickly as she had surprised a few of them.

She met their stares with her own stoic one for no more then a second before she began to walk. She wore what she typically wore, her black spandex mid drift top with the torn sleeves, her black form fitting yoga pants, which when looking at them over the thigh areas circular holes could be noticed. Though over that she wore her Haori which was black with red, scattered, lotus petal all around it and an embroidered roman numeral '23' in gold in the center of her back. Underneath that, hidden from view, since her haori was tied together with a black belt, was her satchel which she carries most of her equipment.

Though she wasn't dressed for a party didn't mean she looked crappy, her skin clean and smooth like dark milk chocolate, a short face-framing golden blonde bob hairy style and resting upon her luscious cleavage was her golden necklace, a pendant shaped out as a roman numeral '23'. No real set direction she wandered through the party, her headband tied around her forehead, keeping her eyes open for anything that could be considered 'law breaking'.

Tonight would be a night would be end in hours, but never would it be forgotten in history.

“Anything you want, Ryū-boy! It’s on the house, and an invariable applaud resonated through the daintily festooned vestibule. Mr. Takirama—owner and life-long friend to the man who would be held in the highest regards tonight, made it his personal goal to treat the Uchiha to nothing but the best. He had been gone, and for far too long did many whimper, mourn and quarrel. Tonight would be something totally different; happiness would grace the streets and those that once shed tears in the absence of the eminent Niidaime would come together and share smiles and laughter’s—as well as drinks. This was the beauty of tonight, this was the beauty of his return.

As Takirama tended to the myriad orders and recognitions behind the counter, sitting directly in front of him sat none other than Uchiha Ryūuke. Facing outwards as his back rested against the finely carved oak, he peered out into the open. People assembling in the masses, from all over the districts which comprised Konohagakure would come together, in this modest-sizes tavern to show both appreciation and deference to the fallen hero. Candles and lanterns spread amply around the village, lighting each street to perfection, music of all genres and moods mellowed out the luxurious lightshow as laughter and conversation were spread consistently; it was almost like a parade.

And while music reined supreme outside, it was closer to home then one would imagine. Legs crossed, and now prompted on his lap, a wooden masterpiece allowed quite the jovial, methodic tone to seep into the air. Fingers, with the ut-most ease danced along the strings of the luxurious guitar, as Ryūsuke smiled. Been a while since I’ve played one of these, though it seemed his muscles retrained quite the memory, for the tone couldn’t have been any more faultless, and the air which surrounded him couldn’t have been any more accepting. Harmonious and tuneful mastery aside, Ryūsuke, unconsciously continuing his play turned his sights upon the smaller Uchiha to his side; the one he felt had a large hand in tonight’s orchestrating.

“Thank you, Ashura. It’s good to finally be home.” His words couldn’t have been more earnest and his smile, none the more radiant as peered upon the reason for his existence. His cheeks, flushed a light rose, it seemed the Sake and other concoctions he had ingested earlier were finally settling in, however it was none the more truer—his words—wouldn’t be tarnished by something as superficial as drinking.

Hmm?, his curiosity peaking at his students rather odd conversion in words, and for a moment, he knew the boy was up to something. Maybe another surprise? It mattered little (or so he thought) and with that, would his golden hues turn back to what resided directly in front of him—a party. Countless danced, talked, walked by with grins plastered upon their faces; having the time of their lives and all for what? His return? No, this was something much more and held more weight than one’s simple return home. This was a reunion of a family, a friendship, a dedication—this was what Ryūsuke lived for.

As his scanned the crow, however, one individual did stick out amongst the masses. Blonde waves cascading freely and deep red clothing a figure meant for the perpetual, Ryūsuke’s perfect stream would momentarily break—his tune changing drastically before gathering himself almost immediately. Having fixed the error in his guitar playing, he continued to look out with calm eyes and soft, though mature features. Taking a hand away from the center of his acoustic instrument, he reached to his side and took hold of a small sake cup; taking a drink of it, his eyes never leaving the multitude.

Who is that?

He mused, careful not to spill his drink on his modern selection; raven dress pants with an equating color for his vest, all over an ironed, pressed white shirt. The top buttons unfastened as the night moved on, the former Hokage inadvertently had lost hold of his tie and cufflinks; nonetheless, it mattered little, his intentions where elsewhere at the moment. Ashura would surely notice.

I, too, had heard of this 'Party of the year'. I was not even apart of Konohagakure, nor had I made much of an effort to make it appear as if I was, but people still came up to me at all hours of the day telling me to attend. I had no idea who this Ryuusuke Uchiha person was, or what exactly he did or even, really, what had happened to him, but the prospect of festivities was too enticing to pass up. That, and well -- everything was going to be free, right?

There was a problem with this, though. With my funds light and my actual home several hundred miles away, what was I going to wear? I had not contemplated bringing a nice set of clothes for I had no idea I would be gone for so long. My old ones were out of the picture too, with them being all dirty and ripped - so, truthfully, I had quite the dilemma on my hands. Still, before I could even rationalize my options, I found myself breaking into an unoccupied home in pursuit of something nice; afterall, I doubted I would be in Konoha for much longer after tonight.

It did not take long for me to stumble upon the jackpot, and after sorting through an assortment of different articles of clothing - from casual to even the likes of suits - I settled on a simple buttoned black shirt. It fit surprisingly well, considering the circumstances. Without a second thought I ventured into the home's kitchen, my hands almost subconsciously and instantly moving to rummage through it's various cabinets and drawers. It only took a couple minutes to find what I was searching for: liquor.

With it I was out the door, bottle in hand. My pace was
not too fast, for I sought to savor every moment and every sip I had with the bottle before some random asshole took it away. Thankfully, no one paid too much eye to me as I entered the festivities. It was probably my katana that was fastened to my hip that allowed such a freedom, and for a minute I was thankful I had brought it along. Eventually, after pushing through the crowds, I stumbled onto a familiar face.

"Miyako! Y-you look... hehe..." I stumbled slightly, unable to refocus my gaze on where I was walking after catching a glimpse of her-- yeah... "Stunning! Shots?!" I offered my bottle towards her, but was already out and moving again before she could even reply. Something else had caught me eye in the distance. A female, one with dark skin and smooth golden blonde hair; truthfully, she looked quite like me.

"Twenty.... three!" I called out, brushing past a group of people to stand at her side, all the whilst ignoring their stares and subtle jabs. "I thought I was one of a kind, and here you are.... lookin' just like me!"

Korenth smiled as he sat down to one of the lesser crowded tables that weren't full circled around the returning hokage. He knew social occasions and more importantly he know his place at them, which was of course to stay silent. This shinobi was not one for conversation, at least not while sober. While drinking wasn't something he particularly cared for, he had stolen a couple of bottle just for tonight. It was a joyous occasion after all and if Korenth was going to be able to 'mingle' with the others he would have to be... more out going.

With a quick glance about the bar, he reached into his buttoned up suit and withdrew the first bottle setting it on holster over a candle to keep the sake warm. As the bottle warmed up over the small candle, he turned and looked about the room towards the main cause of such joy in the village. Uchiha Ryuusuke had returned. Admittedly Korenth didn't know the man personally but he had heard the farfetched tales of their exploits. If there was any truth in the stories, this man deserved some measure of respect. Should either of the uchiha look his way he planned to wave to them and smile and then turn back to his drink we desperately need to heat up soon.

In fact, it needed to be heated up five minutes ago. Something truly unsettling was coming the Aburame's direction but his attention was too stuck on the guest of honor for the night. But quiet and in the shadows a gaggle of shinobi who weren't able to hold their drink were looking for the same things Korenth liked in a table. Vacancy and a bottle of warming sake.

So far she hadn't spotted anything that would be considered rule breaking, well nothing yet. Where there was alcohol there would eventually be fighting because someone had begun speaking about someone else and everything was just taken out of hand. She moved with precise steps so that she could slip through the crowds without bumping into them. The most she ended having to do was gently push them out the way so she could make it through.

Eventually her footsteps brought her just outside of Mr. Takirama's place of business as where a majority of the crowd was gathered around. It was quite a difficult task to look through the mass of people without having to push them through, but she had to deal with the fact that she couldn't just up and start punching people out the way. Though she wanted to sooooo badly.

She took a moment to look through the crowd and eventually took a step towards the place of business, but stopped when the flicking of strings rung ever so sweetly in her ears. They twitched and she, for a moment, looked like an puppy who had just heard something interesting. Her eyes seemed to sparkling in a happy way to the music that was playing. Oh how she loved music. It made her almost want to start dancing to it. Another step closer she took as the music continued to play. Honestly she was too distracted by the music to take notice that the Nidaime was there and that he was the one playing.

She would have gotten even further and possibly even into the place of business when the music has suddenly broken is smooth rhythm and she frowned. She didn't like that and her head turned away in a manner that almost spoke for itself 'HMPH!' Taking no more than three steps away, so her back again would be towards this katana wielding drunkard.

'twenty....three!" She stopped and turned towards where this voice came from. Was someone calling her? She knew she had the numbers upon her, but was someone actually calling her?

There she stared down this...person who was talking to her as if he knew her. She looked a little aggravated at this for a mere second before she obtained a stoic face and took a step back away from this person.

I like this this drunkard? Obviously the smell of alcohol lingered on his breath and its scent filled her nose. "Excuse me?" She was confused by what he meant by this. Their complexion were the same, yes, but to say that they looked the same.

Hnn, what was all the god damned noise going on. It was hard enough to stroll around this kami forsaken village without the need of idiots. My eye's rose only to capture a glimpse of Ashura enjoying the festivities. A stark white flash of lightning was all I could see before me, and then I began to remember the horrible days of old.

Those festivals were nothing more then torture sessions for me, and everyone else considered different. I opened my mouth gritting my shark teeth in disdain of what was going on. What the hell? Some drunk dude bumped into me." Hey, watch who you walk into feeble minded asshole. " The guy spit in my face -- this son of a bitch just spit in my fucking face.

I slide over, cocking my fist back before thrusting it forward twisting it into a hammer fist style before pushing all of my weight into it. His face looked like much at the impact, but returned to normal as he was lifted off his ugly ass feet, and a meter away from me. " Fucking drunkards, treating an Ouji like this "

damn it my sleeve wasn't enough to wipe away the humiliation I felt at the moment. I was just so heated that I needed something to calm myself down. I rushed over towards one of the tables. Hmm? Green water? I wonder if this is herbal tea. It weighed a lot, but none of that mattered as I swallowed everything I could.

Holy shit, my throat burned as I coughed outwards. What I just drank wasn't herbal tea my insides felt warmer then anything. I don't know why, but everything is starting to look so freaking funny especially this guy with duck shoes on. Haha -- woah damn my balance must be off I never fall over like this." Haha -- what type of tea was that? "

I only really had but a couple of shots - even though each were taken consecutively - so I was mainly just tipsy, that was all. The uncontrollable stuttering that accompanied my words when I had found Miyako was justified, especially after viewing what she was wearing, and the lack of any real attention span was simply a result of being just a teenager.

So really, all these whispers by various people around me calling me a 'mess' and a 'drunkard' - I didn't even know the girl I was talking to was thinking the same - was really unneeded. Weren't we all here to enjoy ourselves and have fun? Why was everyone being so uptight about everything. Tch. If this was what all Konohagakure civilians were like, I could not fathom being forced stay here for much longer.

"I said: 'You look like me'" I repeated, displaying the same look of annoyance that had flashed upon the girl's face just a moment ago. "Honestly, it was just a simple observation - there's no need for ya' to look so smug. Jesus, we're supposed to be having some fun here! Lighten up." I had no idea why exactly this girl looked so angry, but I sure as hell was not going to stick around if she was going to stay like that. The last thing I needed was for someone to kill my vibe¹.

Regardless, I wasn't that snobby that I wouldn't give her a second chance. "Lets start this over, eh? My name is Namitsuki." Placing my liquor bottle between my arm and my chest, I extended my hand towards her. Smiling, too, I watched her with a bemused expression."Kushinada, Namitsuki. If that's too long for ya' you can call me Nami, most people do." Hopefully she wasn't another nutcase.

'We're suppose to be having fun here! Lighten up.' It resonated in her head a moment. It was a difficult thing for her to grasp since she wasn't one for this type of environment, but maybe he did have a point. She could 'lighten up' even if it was just a little bit. Though he had assembled himself and she scanned him over. Maybe she was a little bit quick on thinking he was a flat out drunk. Wasn't her fault though, she was at an event and was prepared for dealing with drunks. Usually is what pops up to be the problem as these types of events.

She looked at his hand a moment and then to his face. Scanning him for any sort of intention that he held upon his bemused face, but she couldn't find anything. It was a slight hesitation, but her own stoic face dispersed as she gave him a small smile and a gentle gaze.

"Naiya..." she responded, it was only right that she respond equally. It would be disrespectful otherwise, least thats what her mother taught her. "Kaguya, Naiya. My apologies if I seemed a bit rough, Mr. Kushinada." She was also one to be a bit formal when she does interact with others. Usually speaking to them professionally rather than personally. She really didn't know any other way. She shook his hand with a strong firm grasp.

Ashura's eyes followed the invisible bridge they'd created with, surprisingly enough, the woman he'd wanted to introduce him to in the first place. "That's the person I was talking about," the boy explained while grabbing his father by the wrist and dragging him through the crowd. "I met her a day or so ago; she's really nice," he continued with his joyous tone. "Come on, Ryuusuke-sama; I'll introduce you."

It was only a matter of seconds before Miyako would feel a small hand on her arm, one that probably felt familiar. Upon turning, she'd see the young boy with his step-father no more than a foot or so behind him, still bound at the wrist. Ashura was dressed in a simple-- though freshly pressed, steamed and sharper than a dagger --grey suit, with a off-set black tie to match. His short and tussled hair appeared to have been brushed, yet the way it fanned out along his forehead and neck suggested taming the beast of silken locks was, for lack of a better word, difficult. Strangely enough, the collage of dark and neutral colors only seemed to accentuate his obsidian eyes, which were illuminated like ebony jewels in the countless lights of the festival.

"Nee-san," he said as a warm smile melted over his lips. "This is my father, Ryuusuke Uchiha. Dad," he glanced over his shoulder while gesturing to the vixen in a red dress with an open hand, "This is my friend from the library, Miyako Hamasaki. She's the head librarian there."

Releasing his father's wrist from his grasp, and taking a step back from between the two of them, he waited.

heavens help her she just had to stumble across that damned little shit she'd met at the hospital. her luck was literally draining out an invisible pocket at her side tonight. first, she got dragged out. second, she got ditched within five minutes. and third, but surely not the last to come, this brat had to turn up. pursing her lips, miyako watched him and tried not to be amused. as rude as he could be he had this kind of charm about him that would surely, eventually have to be popular with the ladies. she shook her head at his stumbling of words. she looked what? ridiculously out of place? slutty? she scoffed, declined the offer of shots before he even offered her the bottle. she hadn't even gotten a chance (not that she really wanted one) to respond to him before the shithead was off into the crowd to pester another female. at least he had good taste, from what miyako could see from the distance she was at, the chick he was chatting up was a damn good looker.

miyako was going to follow him for a chat and to meet the girl, but as she went to go, she felt a soft hand on her arm. a familiar, child like hand that made her smile. she turned, already knowing who it was, but when she saw the adorable little thing her smile turned brilliantly bright. the grey suit and tie suited him so well and the hard to tame hair made her giggle. she hadn't seen dear little ashura since their lunch date but she felt as though she had grown even fonder of him. she was about to ruffle his hair up but she realised finally that there was a taller man standing next to him. forgetting her manners, miyako stared at him bright eyed. she knew who it was before ashura had even introduced him. this was definitely uchiha ryuusuke, no doubt about it. he oozed importance. miyakos lips formed a silent sort of "oh" sound as she held out her hand-- but she quickly withdrew it. what was the proper mannerisms here? he was a former hokage. did she bow or what? swallowing awkwardly, miyako's cheeks were starting to turn pink.

"i-it's a pleasure to meet you," she stammered, then laughed. it was that honey, silky kind of golden laugh that she was known for. it wasn't sweet or musical like some girls but it had that kind of charm to it that drew people in, made them at ease. "i'm sorry. i've never met.. someone of your rank before. do i bow or shake your hand?"

way to come off as an uncultured peasant miyako. real charming. she could have slapped herself.

Still allowing the contents of his cup to ease down his throat, Ryūsuke’s eyes never faltered. Her beauty was beyond compare, and for a man treasured for his looks, he knew many that were now outmatched. As fate preordained, the Uchiha had a new visage to address, nonetheless, it seemed this was the person Ashura had been waiting for. Inane, how fate worked sometimes—this made it that much easier to gather her attention. Though, for what happened next, took the half-intoxicated leader by surprise. What happened next, courtesy of the child in this situation, would potentially be quite expensive, as well.

The boy took to a stand, and with one mighty tug, drove the man from his seat, his Guitar almost falling from his lap and crashing had it not been for the instincts truly befitting a Kage as Ryūsuke reached out. Gotcha, he grinned weakly, placing his appreciated apparatus to the side of his chair and soon found himself tugged across the floor. Adjusting his attire as they moved through the labyrinth of partying populace, Ryūsuke was well-aware of where his student and son was taking him.

A moment passed and soon, the older Uchiha found himself face-to-face with the virtuous blonde. Her vivacity ever the more tangible as he could now consume her appearance in its entirety. Ashura did well to introduce his mentor to the woman, though Ryūsuke felt the need to personally make his presence known. Golden eyes, deep in richness rested calmly upon her bearings, taking in everything she had to offer without even making it the slightest bit obvious. Her hand extending to meet its own, he did the same, only to be left empty-handed in the center. He smiled faintly (though nevertheless charming) as she retreated and fumbled in her own words. Starstruck—or so it appeared—she didn’t know how to address him, not in this setting. Perfect. It gave way for him to begin.

Almost forgetting that Ashura was to his side, Ryūsuke—intuitively—reached for her hand; her timid nature would most likely showcase soon, though it mattered little. If met with little to no opposition, would his hand strong, though gentle palm rest beneath hers. Lifting it while concomitantly bending over, the product of this measure would be a subtle, soft kiss upon the face of her hand. “The pleasure is all mine.” He exclaimed, allowing her hand to gracefully fall back to her side before standing erect once more.

”I’m Uchiha Ryūsuke, ”

as lucky in looks as she was, miyako wasn't nor ever had been blessed with grace and poise like her mother had been. that confident sense of self was evidently still waiting to be inherited. licking her suddenly dry lips - probably ruining her red lipstick; she'd have to reapply soon - miyako let ryūsuke take her hand. she wasn't sure what his intentions were at first, thinking it'd just be a handshake, but when his lips pressed against the skin of her hand she almost snatched it back. while frigid bitch wasn't exactly her gameplay, miyako wasn't sure what the go here was or how to react.

at first she had been a little too overwhelmed by him to even think about flirting but now it seemed he was taking the initiative. not that she was going to complain. when you get this sort of attention from a good looking guy with manners, you let it go on. and when you get this attention from a good looking guy with good parenting skills and was one of the strongest shinobi in the village, you damn well bite your lip and flirt back. when ryūsuke stood to his fall height again and miyakos hand was back at her side, still warm from his touch, she released her bottom lip from between her teeth in a deliberately slow kind of way that was mostly subconscious. she cocked her head to the side, looking him up and down. assessing the situation, she and her friends called it. she probably didn't manage to do it as covertly as ryūsuke did but there was surely no harm done.

finally, after a few deliberate moments of silence on her part, she said with a grin, "welcome back." as she did, miyako reached out to ashura's head to give his hair a bit of a ruffle. it looked cuter when it was messy. "so this young man is yours, ne? fine job you've done. he's such a charmer." she winked cheekily at ashura. "aren't you kiddo?"

Ashura could only loft a brow in confusion as the two shared their looks, examining each other like well-painted masterpieces. What's with adults? he mused to himself, twisting his expression into a sort've bemused state; even his father ended up being a pervert, just like those other guys. Sure, he might've been a lot smoother -- a lot more tactful, as well -- but a pervert nonetheless. He'd seen Ryuusuke use the "still eyes that wander" trick on more than one occasion, to which the older Uchiha described as: "Using your awareness of the surroundings to observe everything while looking straight."

Of course he'd be the one to use it in this situation, though. The boy's thoughts were derailed, however, when he felt Miyako's hand ruffling his hair. "I suppose," he admitted with a sheepish smile. "But, I think I saw some of my friends over there," he nodded off to the left. "So, I think I'll just leave you two alone for a bit."

Naturally, he was a lying. But, if his father was going to court any woman, he'd certainly prefer it be someone like Miyako. A woman with a large heart, open mind, and motherly instincts. I wonder if they'll start dating? he thought to himself as he slithered off into the crowd. Instinctively, he reached into his jacket and retrieved the image he carried with him at all times. Eying the image fondly, he sighed. "I wish you could have been here, Kirino."
