Appearance

A picture of suaveness, Jin is strikingly handsome, with a bright wide smile, tanned skin and meticulously trimmed facial hair. Wearing his hair in a traditional samurai top knot, Jin's piercing brown eyes are always on display, filled with confidence and inspiration. Rooted firmly in tradition, his silver and white hakama covers the entirety of his body, hiding his muscular frame beneath the billowy cloth. When wearing casual clothes, however, his defined physique is clearly visible, each rigorously trained muscle of his six foot two tall frame bulging with strength.  

Personality

Charming and easy spoken, Jin's general personality betrays his lofty ambitions. A patriot of the Stone, Jin has spent many years outside of the village mingling with the countrymen of their neighbors, attempting to build a rapport and set of diplomatic skills with his allies. This skill reflects itself in his uncanny ability to make most people become friendly with him very quickly, allowing him to extract information and feelings from people who would otherwise shirk his advances.

Mentally, he lives by the motto "iron from earth" and has ambitions to create a militarized arm of the Earth, named the Tetsuzan. Not yet acting on these plans, Jin has taken on somewhat of a mentor role upon his return to the Earth, training those who would ask in the art of Kenjutsu, of which he is considered peerless.

THE ART OF THE BLADE -- (KENJUTSU - 1040 EXP)

Tier 1 - Sōgiri: Every Kenjutsu attack utilized by the swordsman is accompanied by an extra push of force, increasing its effectiveness (equivalent to having been struck by the same technique twice in the exact same place). This allows the user to turn even a faint, seemingly harmless strike into something that, if delivered in the proper location, can be quite fatal.

Tier 2 - Tatsujin-ken Sōgiri: Due to their dedication to the blade, all Kenjutsu techniques have their cost and sustain reduced by one rank, with the absolute lowest being one Miniscule worth of chakra. If a technique has at least a base cost of Massive, it will always cost at least one Massive worth of chakra.

Tier 3 - Ukenagashi: Kenjutsu techniques are capable of dismantling moderately powerful, physical ninjutsu (earth, wood, metal, etc) B-rank and below. They are also capable of dismantling tangible but not physical (fire, water, air, etc) C-rank and below. This means that they can deliver a powerful blow that can cleave through such creations with ease. The chakra required to do so is equivalent to the technique in question. Can only be used once every other turn.

Dorokendageki (Draw and Strike)

With their weapon sheathed, the user focuses their sense to the utmost and then draws and slices within one quick and precise movement. While basic in nature, this techniques forte lies in its accuracy; allowing the user to strike with such precision they could target an arrowhead flying toward them.

Note: Weapon must be sheathed to utilize. User has perfect accuracy for this strike.


Kidō Henkō (Trajectory Change)

A Kenjutsu practitioner will hold their weapon with both hands and strike at a target; watching for the moment they try to block the strike. At the last moment, the user will switch the positions of their left and right hand on their weapon and quickly alter the course of their blade.

Note: Can only be used once per strike. Angle change cannot be lower than 90 degrees.


Shisen (Line of Sight)

The user will first place the hand on the same side as their weapons on the sheath of the smaller blade near the hilt. Charging their thumb with an amount of chakra, they will flick the guard of the smaller blade causing the weapon to rocket forward; aimed at the targets face. This weapon will not only surprise the opponent but also block their vision as the user quickly steps in to strike with their other blade.

Note: Requires user to carry Daisho(pairing big and small Katana) or something equivalent on one side of their waist.


Tsukesagiri (Cut and Thrust)

The user starts off with a normal two-handed cut but at the users discretion, they will release one hands grip on the weapon, leaving the weapon held near the hilt of the other hand. The user will then thrust the arm still holding the weapon while also taking a step forward with the leading leg. This turns the users slash into an unexpected, quick, and long reaching thrust.


Tsuka Dageki (Hilt Blow)

A Kenjutsu practitioner gathers a mild amount of chakra at the hilt of their weapon and when opportunity presents itself, they will strike with the hilt of the weapon. The chakra enhanced strike causing a variety of effects dependent on the area struck.

Note: Head; dazed for one turn, chest area; winded for one turn, limb; mild numbness for one turn.


Batto (Battojutsu)

A practitioner of Battojutsu has but one objective and that is to cut their opponent. This desire manifest itself in the form of an illusion created from their will. When a Battojutsu practitioner is about to strike, their body gives off the illusion of a duplicate arm or even body; two blades aimed at different targets. This illusion makes it difficult for the target to pinpoint which blade is the true danger.

Note: Can be used once every 2 turns.


Nibaigiri (Double Cut)

The user first gathers chakra into their wrist to allow a quick and uninterrupted change in the course of their blade after the first strike. This allows the user to strike twice within the span of a second.

Joushou Giri (Rising Cut)

A highly unorthodox skill but useful nonetheless. Starting from any vertical slash from below, the user will release the grip of their weapon once the slash has reached its apex height causing the blade to be hurled into the air a short distance. The user will then extend their sheath upward where the blade will always perfectly fall back into its sheath.

Note: The user can decide how long their blade is within the air with a maximum duration of one turn. The blade will always fall perfectly into its sheath assuming the user performs the required motions and has not moved too far from the location they tossed their blade.


Morote Giri (Two Handed Cut)

A straightforward and simple technique but highly dangerous when used at the right moment. The user will hold their weapon with both hands before raising it above their head. Gathering chakra to the blade, they perform a simple vertical slash with a shocking degree of power.

Note: There is a momentary charge equal to one hand seal before the technique is unleashed. This technique is capable of cleaving through a single B-rank or below jutsu.


Marugiri (Circle Cut)

Another simple yet useful technique of a Kenjutsu practitioner. The user starts from any stance and spins 360 degrees with their weapon extended to slash at those around them. This skill is performed with a high degree of speed and precision.

Note: This technique will always perform a perfect circle no matter the users stance or position.


Sandangamaegiri (Triple Cut)

An advanced form of the Nibaigiri technique that has a third quick and uninterrupted change in the blades path. With two consecutive changes in the blades path, this technique is highly difficult to defend against. However due to the strain on the wrist, this technique cannot be used freely.

Note: This technique can be used once every four turns. This skill shares a cool down with Nibaigiri meaning once used, Nibaigiri cannot be used until after 2 turns.


Senkou Zuki (Flash Thrust)

The user starts with their weapon sheathed before gathering a large amount of chakra into their weapon. The chakra sharpens the weapons point while also allowing for frictionless drawing, giving the technique an immense level of speed. Once willing to execute, the user will draw and thrust their weapon forward in one fluid movement; impaling all in their path.

Note: This technique can pierce through a single A-rank jutsu or below.


Tsubame Gaeshi (Swallow Reversal)

The pinnacle of the Battojutsu style has the practitioner obtain a god-like level of speed to perform an action that defies nature. This technique starts off with the user holding their weapon with both hands horizontally near their face with the tip of the blade aimed at the target. The users feet placed equidistant with the body leaned slightly forward. Execution of the technique starts with a small but fast one meter dash before the user unleashes three strikes of unfathomable speed. Such speed causes all three attacks to strike simultaneously.

Note: This technique can only be used once per thread. Any Chakra reduction masteries/skills/items do not work on this technique. The user possesses SS rank speed for the very short duration of the 3 strikes. The dash portion of the technique is optional.

A most basic and yet vital maneuver for an Iaijutsu user is the ability to sheathe their weapon to prepare for future techniques. This skill is a basic function of mastery Kenjutsu practitioners have obtained after unsheathing and sheathing their weapons on a daily basis. While seen as a dangerous and foolish move to do in the midst of battle, practitioners have learned to sheathe their weapon will insane levels of speed no matter their stance.

Note: Allows the user to near instantaneously sheathe their weapon no matter their condition.


Kawasu (To Parry)

The most basic but far from useless technique within the Iaijutsu arsenal. Starting with their weapon sheathed, the user will quickly draw their blade to parry incoming attacks before instantly sheathing their weapon in preparation of their next maneuver.

Note: A maximum of three techniques can be parried per use at an incredibly fast, almost "simultaneous" rate. It should be noted that these parries must be plausible, and simply because a user can defend relatively quick does not mean they are immune to being struck.


Sorashimaru (Deflect)

Chakra Consumption: Mid per 15 projectiles

With their weapon sheathed, the practitioner will unsheathe their blade and quickly strike down incoming projectiles, either slicing them or redirecting their path. Useful when faced with opponents that prefer to strike from a distance, as long as the user is able to spot the incoming threat in time.

Note: Up to 15 projectiles can be parried per use


Ridairekuto (Redirect)

An Iaijutsu practitioner will quickly unsheathe their weapon to defend against an incoming attack but instead of pitting force against force, the user will clash and redirect their opponents weapon to the side. And then taking a quick step forward causing either their body or shoulder to slam into the opponent; sending them flying backwards.

Note: Target is sent flying back 3 meters upon being hit.


Sumasshu to Mamorimasu (Smash and Defend)

Chakra Consumption: Mid

A technique similar in nature to Battojutsu's Shisen except instead of causing a smaller blade to fly forward, the main weapon is sent forth. Gathering chakra to the hilt of the sheathed weapon and subsequent thumb, the user will flick the weapon out of its scabbard and straight toward a target. Upon the hilt impacting with a target, they will be pushed backwards a short distance or other varying effects dependent on area hit. If the target is close enough, the weapon will be sent back into its sheathe from the opposing forces created when the hilt makes contact with the target.

Note: The target hit will be pushed back 2 meters. If the hilt hits the face or head, the target is dazed for one turn. A direct hit to the heart or lung area will leave the opponent winded for one turn.
