I've never been any good at these, and no matter how many times I write out an intro about myself on a site like this, it always feels awkward. With that in mind, I'll keep this as short as possible.

Not wanting to get too personal, my name is Bridget but online I usually go by Celes or sometimes Meri. This is my first time roleplaying in a Naruto universe as I have in the past, preferred to stick with high fantasy and medieval style roleplaying. Speaking of which I've been writing/roleplaying for almost seven years now. And that said, I've had my fair share of let's say, various experiences.

Anyways, you most likely won't find me in the cbox often and when I am in there it is usually for more of a serious reason than idle chit-chat. By the way I'll go by Celes in there as well. To put it bluntly, I don't like c-boxes and mostly find things can get a tad bit out of hand when a cluster of people are all chatting at once. So the best way to contact me would most likely be via personal message . . .

Lastly, let me just say: nice to meet everyone and I hope to stick around and have some fun.

Yes, this place has several good things going for it. I'll be sure to, and I no doubt will have a few questions in the future, most likely after I get my first character approved. Glad to know staffers here actually don't frown upon questions via personal messages. Some staff on other sites which will not be named, go bananas when members pm them.

Thank you yet again, -C; although now I am actually quite curious as to what your name represents. Unfortunately, or perhaps not so . . . I'll be waiting a bit since I did try to go for a limited bloodline and it needs lead mod/admin approval. Still, pretty psyched to have actually found a Naruto site that has some form of system. Most newer sites I find, tend to shy away from more traditional roleplaying elements like EXP in favor of what they call: 'free-form.' Those same sites also like to state that any form of 'system' restricts muse. It's like they have never heard of checks and balances before.

Then again, most like those tend to fail and are riddled with meta-gamers and god-modders. You can see my reservation in that regard. That said, all praise for whomever worked out the system you have here~ From what I can tell I made the right choice in coming here for my first Naruto roleplaying experience.

But, I hope that you do have a wonderful experience here. I been to some sites like you have mentioned before, and once I found NRP, I found my home. I have been on the site for almost a year now, and I have ever found one better since. Hopefully we get to RP together here someday.

In truth I hope so too; it's been too long since I remained on a site for more than a few months. Some just flat-out die, others just aren't very friendly, or as welcoming to newcomers as they should be and still others are even -- I do not want to say hardcore because that is not the right word -- well, too focused on 'being the strongest' that actual character development does not exist. Yes, it is awesome to see a character grow in power, but it is not as rewarding if it is done through pointless grind after pointless grind. I know I prefer roleplaying with other people as opposed to going at it alone constantly.

Both styles seem to be present here, most obviously in the missions I have read that really do hone in on that singular method, without going into an overly harsh amount of detail. However, from what I can tell there also are a lot of plot-driven events presented both on a 'world' scale and village scale, in addition to simple character interaction threads. I guess what I am saying is, I think I would prefer a site . . . like this one to have that, variety, instead of requiring its members to roleplay in a certain manner during the course of their stay.

I will admit that there are a few 'turnoffs' especially in how easy it appears to well, die. Rather, player characters almost seem to possess an impossible amount of bloodlust that just does not appear all that natural to me. But, in spite of that from the topics I have read thus far, there is a lot of fun to be had here and plenty of intriguing and unique characters that are portrayed in some cases quite differently. I. E. This is perhaps the first time I have seen both First-person and Third-person writing intermingled on the same site.

All things considered, I have no plans on going anywhere if this place turns out to be half as awesome as I think it is.
