Sunagakure Act III - What Lies Hidden Beneath the Sand Village?!

Limits & Dates: The starting date for the event will vary, but should commence sometime within the next two weeks. The sign-ups will last for three days, enabling plenty of time for the active shinobi to notice and make a decision. Lastly, there will be five slots open for any character within Sunagakure at the time; village affiliation does not matter.

Location: Sunagakure, Kaze no Kuni.

Rewards: 500 EXP; 30,000 RYO; One 'A' Rank Weapon or Item of the user's choice to the best performer! (Must survive and thoroughly complete Event for the weapon/item bonus.)

Synopsis:

[/url] of several Chunin and Genin into the frightening sewers brought some light to what was thought to be a mere campfire story; there truly was something hidden beneath the Sand. How the quad managed to escape unscathed can only be explained through their mouths alone, telling of devilish chants and murderous sights that would turn a weak stomach. Upon exiting the subterranean area with their team, the journeymen spoke of intolerable creatures that lurked in the underground maze, but with the disappearance of the bone-manipulating Kazekage, the importance of finding another deemed too much to ignore. With the details of the adventure shoved into the background, the story appeared to fade away into the memories of the survivors alone...

...but, that was a grave mistake. The Sand Council feared that the former Kazekage's vanishing would bring about uncertainty and civil war amongst the citizens of the Sand Village, and an immediate replacement and public statement would help restore any lost hope. The newly-assigned Wind Shadow, Rokuto of the Sunagami, understood their hasty maneuvers and accepted their pleas, but he knew something terrible was about to come. The date for the Kazekage's speech was established... and so was the unexpected awakening of the hidden sand creatures. With the date and times of the two intertwined, the reclamation of the Sand's confidence would have to be reborn from the unfortunate ashes of destruction...[/i][/ul][/font][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify]

Not really sure about the free A ranked item/weapon. If anything I'd say give it to the best performer. As an A ranked even I'd say push the exp down to 200-300 because -correct me if I'm wrong- a A ranked custom event is usually 6-8 which (with good rp) can yield some good exp itself. everything else seems fine to me.

Because of the intensity of an event, the creator is allowed to offer up to four times, or 400% the normal mission payout in Ryo and EXP for participation.

That is quoted from the Customs for Dummies thread. Now, considering this is a A-Rank, Death-Enabled event, the maximum limitations that it states I can reward, and the fact that I've already shortened it by 300 EXP and 10,000 Ryo, I believe this is quite sufficient. The rewards should be fine due to the fact that the difficulty and possibilities of death in this event is at it's highest, yet the rewards are much less than what says can be given.

Still formulating a position on items in regards to events... In the meantime, lets do this one, I'll see how it turns out; consider it a test of sorts for item rewards in future events. Most important thing here is getting activity moving!
