The sunlight was strong.
Upon a peak of stone surrounded by vibrant trees sat Oiroh, in his typical meditative stance: sitting cross-legged his hands in a Snake handsign. His eyes were closed as he focused on the wind and earth around him, feeling their energies; deciphering their messages to eachother. Through this cloud of natural information, a chakra was suddenly noticed by Oiroh. His right eye shot open as he felt that the figure was close. He smirked and reclosed his eye as he reluctantly stood up.
"You've arrived! Wonderful. I suppose you already know this, but I feel obligated to tell you anyhow: I have no intention of going easy on you." His eyes opened into a stern but eager look as he addressed his opponent.

[Sayomi]

"Really? Thats just how I like it!"

A wide grin would spread across Masumi's visage, sharp, shark like teeth gleaming under the oppressive, amber rays of the sun. Her left hand motioned behind her at her lower back as she placed a finger through one of the three holes of Kubikiri Tsurugi. Slowly she unsheathed it from its coating, light glinting sporadically off its shimmering surface. Once it was completely revealed she rapidly spun it around her finger, the sword swinging wildly. "How about we have some fun, eh?"

She's catch the sword in a reverse grip, her eyes never leaving the man in front of her. The winds of battle churned and the proverbial bell of warfare sounded....

Oiroh's eyes filled with intrigue as his challenger unsheathed her sword. 'Fantastic... What a magnificent weapon. I've never seen anything like it before. The structure is unheard of.' He thought as reached behind him to grasp his Kanabo staff. Each of his digits clenched as he swiftly pulled it from behind him and grasped it with his other palm and forming a defensive position, his feet firmly on the ground. The mood was intense and exciting.

"As my challenger, I hereby give you complete permission to claim the first move. I'm ready." He stated politely as his stance tensed up a bit.

"Now... COME AT ME!"

Kanabo

Description: A kanabo is an iron staff constructed with iron spikes or studs on one end. One or both ends of the wooden types are sheathed in iron, and on occasion, spikes. Kanabō type weapons came in all sizes and shapes with the largest ones being as tall as a man and a two-handed weapon while the smaller lighter ones were primarily one-handed and the length of a forearm.

"I'd have it no other way!"

Masumi's smile widened as she rushed forward quickly closing the distance, she'd bring her left arm up and swing it down towards the opponent.

"Oraaa!"

A simple attack, she'd tie no strings, no cheap tricks and nothing special. It'd be just a simple downward slash.

Oiroh raised his staff quickly and firmly to block the strike from Masumi's left hand. From this point, he swiftly rotated the staff clockwise to loosen the situation. The staff was spun wildly just above his head before he made a quick swipe at her feet as an attempt to knock her off her balance, but also to test her reflexes.

The more intel you have, the better you can strategize against your opponent. Oiroh had no clue as to how skilled the girl was; he needed to know as soon as possible.

That wide grin, shrank into a devilish smirk, callously curling her lips. Upon contact with his staff as he'd attempt to block he'd find a surprise, one that would of course be unexpected. The blade would disperse into a wild display of tainted water, cursed to the touch.

Like that of a whip the water would diverge from the staff, but would continue on tis desired course, the splashes of water would no doubt land on various places because the close proximity. These places would surely vary from his face, and hands, but the true impact would be upon the center of his chest.

The acid would viciously eat away at his skin if contact was made, thanks to Kubikiri Tsurugi's ability to liquefy at will an also able to be a catalyst for her acidic jelly.

[In the same moment]

As her deceptive attack would burst into water, carrying on with it's course Masumi's other free arm would become engorged, taking a monstrous appearance as she'd draw Suigai from her back and bring it down upon her foe. The resulting effect of her acidic water would no doubt cause his defense even if were a moment to falter and allow her increased strength to tear throw his staff and his body if he should not block properly.

The smirk would now be a villainous, wide grin, as if she was having the time of her life, eyes wide with joy.

Gousuiwan no Jutsu (Strong Water Arm Technique)

Type: Offensive / Clan Ninjutsu
Range: Self
Special: On top of the technique's base rank damage, the boost adds additional damage equal to the Hozuki's highest 'Hydration' rank. Must learn for each limb. Pump-up lasts as long as the Hozuki's 'Liquefaction' limit.
Description: Using their ability to transform their body into water, the Hozuki will reform their limbs, be it arms or legs, into a more muscular form. The muscles of the arm are temporarily enlarged and strengthened by the moisture gathered from the whole body, and as it is compressed into the entire arm, it provides boosts equivalent to an instant pump-up. This stronger limb allows the clan member to deliver more powerful blows with either a weapon or taijutsu in conjunction with the boosted limb. However, because it is essential to properly control the moisture balance inside the body, this technique's degree of difficulty is very high. The trade off for such difficulty? The technique gives the user superhuman strength, capable of cutting through both rock walls and steel doors.

Special: Kubikiri Tsurugi was crafted specifically channeling the Hozuki's natural abilities, acting as a catalyst for their Kekkai Genkai's abilities. Training to B rank will allow the user to transform the the sword while in its water state to have sword like properties. Making the water sharp and even more deadlier.
Description: One noticeable feature of the sword is that it is able to properly liquidize along with its master as well as solidify at will. Meaning certain parts of the blade are allowed to turn into water due to the Hozuki wielding it therefore increasing its available range. Also the Houzki is naturally able to add their vicious 'jelly's' properties making the water acidic to the touch. The acidic properties directly reflect Gisan-Hisan rank.

"Ngh!" A grunt escaped Oiroh as the acidic liquid spread across his left arm, stinging incredibly. From weakness, his defense faltered and his staff fell to the ground as he was stuck hard by Masumi's blow. In a reflex, Oiroh backed up a few steps to contemplate his mistake.

'Damnit... I should've seen that coming.' He sternly though to himself. 'At least I know I can't trust her anymore. She really is not holding back. But that jutsu...' His eyes drifted towards his damaged arm.'I can't let myself be hit by that again, that's for sure. I'm not sure I can decpiher a weakness immediately.' From there, he performed a few handseals and ended with a Snake form. "Domu." He said to himself.

His skin was suddenly protected in a layer of stone, multiplying his strength and defense near twofold. However, it was still thin, so it wouldn't entirely shield him from the jutsu. 'This may slow me down, but it'll do for now until I can come up with an idea.' He stood firmly in place, holding four shuriken in both hands, then performed Kaiten, coating them in super-sharp and quick Fuuton chakra, then hurled them Kasumi's way.

Domu (Earth Spear Essence)
Rank: D
Type: Defensive / Doton Ninjutsu
Range: Self
Special: Stops taijutsu and ninjutsu of equal or lower rank. Boosts user’s taijutsu and strength almost twofold, at the cost of slowing down by the same amount. Last until broken or canceled, and when used around a plethora of earth, the armor can repair itself near-instantly if damaged.
Description: After forming the necessary handseals, the user will harden their body using the earth around them or through other supplementary techniques. This provides greater defense against many attacks, both taijutsu and ninjutsu, and will also strengthen their limbs in order to increase the users speed, strength and striking ability/ However, like other Doton based jutsu, it is weak against Raiton attacks.

Kaiten Shuriken (Rotating Shuriken)

Type: Supplementary / Fuuton Ninjutsu
Range: 10+ meters
Special: Wind boost travels up to 10 meters and can control up to 5 projectiles at a time; when relearned, the wind gains 10 extra meters of travel and 5 more projectiles to control.
Description: One of the simplest Fuuton techniques, this supplementary technique allows the user to take any secondary/projectile weaponry they have on them and coat them in Fuuton chakra. This allows the user to shoot them at high speeds under the wind manipulation, adding rotation and tumbling power to increase the speed of normal weapon attacks, as well as its deadliness.

Her sword for some odd reason did not ruthlessly carve through his defense instead, she caused him to falter, dropping his weapon. Injured he hopped back a few steps, still perfectly within range of her he attempted to perform hand seals directly in her face. How foolish she thought as Kubikiri Tsurugi reverted back to its normal state. As he'd began his seals Masumi would throw Kubikiri at him, no doubt from his distraction of performing seals at close range it'd pierce his sternum, but ninja have escaped stickier situations, eh?
