One never knew what they would find whilst traversing the desert! The Kazekage stopped atop a sand dune, her eyes searching the horizon as the sun beat down upon her. The heat was excruciating, but living here such a long time gave her a certain affinity for it; in fact, the girl was clad in a heavy cloak not suitable for even a tropical climate. She clutched a wooden board to her chest, as if it were her line to life.

Pressing the bottle to her lips she savored her last few gulps before the refreshing liquid was gone. Her hand tightened, crushing the bottle with ease before she tossed it into the great expanses. Masumi had been wandering around and ended up in this arid dessert, a broken hour glass, comprised of a lung piercing air, a bleak, boring, desolate area, and shifting dunes.

"I need to get the fuck out of here!"

Masumi yelled stomping on the ground as her eyes caught wind of a small figure atop one of the dunes. A harsh wind hurled itself by, Masumi's windswept hair taking flight behind her as she placed her hand over her forehead, using it as a visor.

"Wha?"

She couldn't fully make out the person, but the silhouette of it was feminine, suggesting it was a girl. Her Kirigakure head band was worn proudly around her neck, and she was sure whoever it was before her was no fellow shinobi from her village. Even if it wasn't a shinobi they were destined to have water, and what better way to blow some steam than a fight? She'd have to judge whether or not which it was, but Masumi was hoping it wasn't the latter.

A quick flick of her wrist grabbed a kunai from her pouch and sent it soaring towards the girl as her arm became engorged as moisture would flood the limb, strengthening it so it can travel the whole distance. Nothing special just a simple kunai to test her out aimed her her sternum area.

Oi! LETS SEE YOU DODGE THIS!!

Masumi yelled, as her pump up would dispell itself and her arm going back to its normal size.

Kunai (Throwing Knife)

Gousuiwan no Jutsu (Strong Water Arm Technique)

Type: Offensive / Clan Ninjutsu

Special: On top of the technique's base rank damage, the boost adds additional damage equal to the Hozuki's highest 'Hydration' rank. Must learn for each limb. Pump-up lasts as long as the Hozuki's 'Liquefaction' limit.
Description: Using their ability to transform their body into water, the Hozuki will reform their limbs, be it arms or legs, into a more muscular form. The muscles of the arm are temporarily enlarged and strengthened by the moisture gathered from the whole body, and as it is compressed into the entire arm, it provides boosts equivalent to an instant pump-up. This stronger limb allows the clan member to deliver more powerful blows with either a weapon or taijutsu in conjunction with the boosted limb. However, because it is essential to properly control the moisture balance inside the body, this technique's degree of difficulty is very high. The trade off for such difficulty? The technique gives the user superhuman strength, capable of cutting through both rock walls and steel doors.

The sight of another figure in the desert was surprising in an of itself. However, it was generally easy to spot someone from a long distance, assuming they were not concealed behind one of the larger dunes. Still, these dangerous sands favored those who knew what they were doing, those who were prepared.

The Kazekage's eyes narrowed, sure that this person was not one of the villages. Although she did not know everyone, a true Sunagakure no Sato shinobi would not be dressed the way this female was. The piece of wood in her hands was tugged upon, revealing the innards of her Kyodai Sensu.

The flick of a wrist would alert her to the movement of a bladed weapon--either shuriken or kunai--flying through the air. Youka focused her chakra, concentrating it on the gigantic fan as she swung it forward. The wind itself heeded her call, creating a cone that blasted forward, intercepting the kunai and reversing its course. The sand, harassed by such a strong current, blew into the air ... effectively blocking vision between the two shinobi.

Beneath the sound of the gale, there was a quiet pop!

Jutsu 1: Fuusajin

Type: Offensive / Fuuton Ninjutsu

Special: Produces a 180 degree cone of wind that disrupts all loose footing. Wind blasts can travel 10 meters, plus 10 more each time relearned.
Description: With the user’s weapon in hand or their limb extended, they will channel chakra across it so that when the weapon or limb is swung, a strong wind current comes forth. This current, although not heavy enough to do any threatening damage, can in fact knock opponents over, as well as severe loose sediment across the ground, bring up dust and whatever else lies on the floor. Useful for creating vision inhibiting storms, knocking people off balance, covering one’s tracks, escaping, and many, many more!

Masumi's smile widened as the girl drew forth some large fan, it was hard to make out in the distance, but she could tell it was a weapons of sorts. 'Seems like i'll be fighting...' The glee clearly showed in her eyes as she watched the girl swing the giant fan unleashing a gale that sent the kunai back Mausmi's way.

However it'd fall short of its mark digging into the sandy terrain as the dust and sand rolled into an obscuring cloud. Her opponents actions were veiled, but so would Masumi's and she'd utilize this moment for her own plans. Not very fond of the distance between them she'd leap forth, water converging upon her feet, allowing her to essentially slide across the terrain, with an interetsing kunai in hand the obfuscated intended Masumi would toss it at the girl.

"Lets not stay apart, I'm dying to meet you!"

By this time she'd have cut the 45 meters in half, and would continue on path unless her actions were stopped.

Suberasu (Walk of Water)

Special: Doubles user’s maximum movement speed. Though supplementary, ‘activating’ it will always use the default ‘C’ ranked chakra. When sliding over water, chakra cost for the slide is reduced nil.
Description: One of the Hozuki’s greatest advantages comes from their very essence, their viscous jelly substance able to instantly provide the user with a limited yet versatile source of suiton. In this case, the user is able to mold chakra on the same path that’s used to keep their appendages in place, allowing an extra amount of chakra to constantly cover their feet. This chakra allows the user to essentially slide or ‘surf’ across the ground at steady speeds for as long as the user’s chakra network can sustain. Because the water provided comes from the user's jelly, they can ride on any form of surface inclined or flat, as long as they have the chakra and said areas do not pose threats to the Hozuki's life - i.e. fire, thunder, etc. A telltale glassy streak is left behind, a smear of jelly revealing the traveling Hozuki’s next destination.

It would have been harder to judge the girl's distance if she had not spoken. Though she could not tell exactly the location of the kunoichi, she did have an approximate. It was at this time that the Kyodai Sensu was waved again, seeming to connect with a solid force.

Immediately another funnel of wind began to twist erratically, a gigantic tornado that played level with the ground as it rushed in Masumi's general direction. Its mouth, a good ten meters across, would hope to swallow Masumi up into its depths; once it did, IF it did, she would find herself lifted up into the air. It would be like a prison, the winds sharp like blades as they raced across her skin.

Of course, there's always the chance a good shinobi can dodge even the most surprising attack. The dust would have cleared by now; certainly the kunoichi would notice the four green kunai floating around the pink-haired girl's head.

Description: One of the simplest Fuuton techniques, this supplementary technique allows the user to take any secondary/projectile weaponry they have on them and coat them in Fuuton chakra. This allows the user to shoot them at high speeds under the wind manipulation, adding rotation and tumbling power to increase the speed of normal weapon attacks, as well as its deadliness.

Jutsu 3: Kamaitachi

Description: This jutsu was brought to fame by a legendary Suna shinobi from long ago, and was named after a mythical creature able to command the winds on a whim. After channeling wind chakra at either their weapon or limb, the user swings it around and brings forth a most intense tornado, coming out from the weapon/arm. Once it strikes the user, the tornado tips upward and takes the user up, keeping them imprisoned by the strong currents, and delivering multiple waves of cutting/slicing damage onto their bodies, as well as dropping them hard onto the ground afterward.

This womans strengths was surely long range, this alone could be ascertained by her release and tactics. The oppressive gale force would collide with the kunai first, causing Masumi's deceptive tactic to be dispelled as well as a cloud of smoke revealing a large sandstone flying back.

Not very fond of the distance between them she'd leap forth, water converging upon her feet, allowing her to essentially slide across the terrain, with an interetsing kunai in hand the obfuscated intended Masumi would toss it at the girl.

Kawarimi was helpful in these kinds of situations as the true Masumi would be seen a few meters away sliding across the terrain using an ability to rapidly close the range. She'd be in the girls blind spot approaching to her right. The clone would be taken away with the tornado, bursting into water.

However before her guise could be discovered her hands danced in a flurry of seals.

"Suiton: Teppoudama no jutsu!"

Five pressurized bullets would be fired from her pressed lips as she held the seal. In the guise of her water bullet barrage, she'd slip a kunai with an ivory tail and a silver gleam into the mix. All of this would be done from 10 meters away and masumi would still be sliding across the surface, rapidly approaching.

Henge no Jutsu (Transformation Technique)

Description: Henge no Jutsu is a very basic ninjutsu technique which every ninja learns at their respective village's Shinobi Academy. Henge allows the user to transform themselves into any person or object. This allows the ninja to move with stealth or to trick their opponents.
Domain: Universal Ninjutsu.

Kawarimi no Jutsu (Body Replacement Technique)

Special: Switch is near-instantaneous. When first learned, Kawarimi can only be used once per thread, plus one more each time retrained. Can only be used once per turn, regardless of retraining.. Requires the user to switch with objects equal or smaller in size; cannot switch with other living people or animals.
Description: This jutsu lets the user quickly switch places with another nearby object, such as a plant (normally a section of a log), an animal, or even another person within reach, the moment an attack hits. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. The user can then use this confusion to escape or launch a counter-attack - i.e. exploding tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise.

Special: Bullets are fired from the mouth, all at once in the form of straight lined stream–like fashion. By default, 5 bullets can be fired at once, plus 5 more each time retrained. Must hold seals while firing. Bullets pierces 'C' ranked barriers and below, and move at the speed of a kunai.
Description: A simple yet effective suiton technique, after forming the necessary hand seals, the user manifests bullet sized water projectiles in their mouth, which can then spit at their opponent at fast speeds for a quick attack. As the user’s knowledge of the this technique increases, so does the amount of bullets they can fire off.

Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu (Water Clone Techqniue)Rank: C
Type: Supplementary / Suiton Ninjutsu
Range: Self
Special: Clone speed matches that of the user. Up to one clone can be made at a time, plus one more each time retrained. Explosion range covers 5 meters. For every 4 clones simultaneously detonated over an opponent, the effects of 'Water Prison' can be achieved without needing physical contact. Same 'Prison' effects apply.
Description: With this technique, the Suiton user is able to call upon aid from a perfect copy of themselves. Comprised purely of water, this clone retains the user movement speed and can share linked mental judgement. Best of all, physical strikes fixed on a point within their body will force it to break up into a puddle and join the mass below, able to avoid danger and regenerate anywhere the water exists. Finally, when defeated, the clone explodes into a blob of water that aims to take over the nearest opponent available. If found, the water envelops the victim whole, drowning them in the user's cursed water and setting up more attacks of the same nature.

Unfortunately for the girl, she would find her tactics to be utterly inefficient in this wonderland of sand.

The kunai that Masumi had henged herself into would be stuck in the grasp of the clone, unable to escape via Kawarimi. There were no such sandstone blocks in the area; in fact, the only substance to be had were those tiny, fine grains of sediment. Therefore, the tornado's mouth would swallow her, lifting her into the air as it went about its dubious activity: using razor-sharp tendrils of wind to slice her. Everywhere. When it was finished, the wind would dissipate completely, letting her drop to the ground like a used doll.

But Youka was hardly one to discriminate. The moment that body smacked against the sand she flicked her fan, sending the four kunai spiraling down toward the prone figure's chest and face, hungry for death.

Thrown wildly and carried into the air there would be no escape for Masumi as the starving tempest desired flesh, her flesh. Greedily it horded its catch eating away at her skin, and than unmercifully upchucked her out, causing her body to be harshly thrown to the sandy terrain below.

Even though she caught the full onslaught of the womans jutsu, but luckily she'd only be covered in multiple flesh wounds, a few deep cuts here and there along her legs and sternum, but nothing that would inhibit battle. Her disoriented eyes caught wind of the womans shuriken headed her way.

She was hurt, but not mortally wounded and so she reacted, her entire upper body liquefied including her head allowing the shuriken to pass through her malleable body. She didn't want to use her trump card so early, but she was left with no choice.

The terrain, and the set distance favored the kunoichi ahead of her, winning would be no easy feet, and Masumi was already beginning to become dehydrated, such a fact wasn't good. Staggering slowly to her feet she stood up, the bitter air whipping at her face as she inhaled softly.

They were about 20 meters apart at the very least and Masumi had one thing left. Her hands clasped together creating a loud echoing slapping sound.

"Suiton: Baku Suishouha no jutsu!"

Wave upon wave of water would pour forth from her mouth, spewing forth onto the sandy land, this would be no ordinary water, for it would be imbued with her acidic jelly. With the force a raging river it fly forth, Masumi atop it riding it, half her body merged with the water only leaving her waist an above showing.

Injured, she would have to make use of this technique. Her hands danced as she performed a few seals.

"Suiton: Goshokuzame no jutsu!"

Five sharks birthed from Masumi's enormous wave would be use the surrounding water to freely encircle the kunoichi. Faced with both this giant cursed wave and the five sharks.

Baku Suishouha (Bursting Water Collision Waves)

Type: Offensive / Suiton Ninjutsu
Range: 0 - 40 meters
Special: The waves are delivered with full force, power and speed for the first turn, and then flood an area twice the wave's range. When the user is ‘surfing’ the waves, their movement speed temporarily doubles.
Description: Baku Suishouha is an offensive ninjutsu technique utilizing Suiton. After forming the needed handseals, the user will take a deep breath and appear to expel water from their mouth or gullet. This will then expand into a large volume of water, propelled forwards at high speeds, resulting in powerful initial blasting damage, as well as plenty of water to flood a small village, break down large barriers, or put out large fires. Lastly, if the user wishes, they can push a bit of additional chakra into their feel so that they can essentially walk along the water and even ride it as if they were surfing.

Goshokuzame (Five Sharks Eating Skill)

Type: Offensive / Suiton Ninjutsu
Range: See special!
Special: Sharks move at double that of its victims, unless the opponents carry a particular bloodline that favors water/underwater life. Due to the pressure of the attacks, they can only be destroyed by ‘A’ ranked attacks and above. Sharks can travel wherever there is water, and exist until they are defeated or run out of water. The user cannot create more batches of sharks until the original five are defeated. The sharks do not distinguish between friend or foe. Requires a water source.
Description: Goshokuzame is a ninjutsu technique utilizing the power of Suiton, and although slightly unconventional due to its environmental prerequisites, nonetheless powerful and deadly. After the user forms the needed hand seals, they will place their hands on the surface of the water in order to transfer their chakra. From here, a shark of condensed water will emerge from each of the user’s fingertips, ordered only for one thing – to attack, maim and kill all opponents who reside in the water below.

Ultimate Hydration Technique (Suika no Jutsu)Rank: D, C, B, A, S
Type: Supplementary / Clan Ninjutsu
Range: Self
Special: Initial liquefaction lasts a single turn by default. All Hozuki are impervious to non-elemental physical strikes, but are susceptible to Raiton and Hyouton - lightning attacks place on them are raised by a single rank, and when struck by it, they are unable to liquefy properly, and finally, ice jutsu have twice the freezing capabilities when coming in contact with the Hozuki. Ranks 'D' and 'C' represent the ability to liquefy one and two limbs at a time respectively (be it arms or legs); 'B' rank represents torso; 'A' rank represents head liquidation; 'S' rank allows the user to liquefy all together any time they want. Finally, Hozuki are made of water, so they can use themselves as a base for all suiton based jutsu. Hydration rank also determines rank/level of suiton the Hozuki can birth from their body.
Description: The core technique behind the bloodlimit and the door to stronger, more powerful attacks, this jutsu allows the Hozuki to totally transform their body into a condensed state of water, so dense that the user can withstand even the roughest of physical attacks, yet so malleable that on a whim, they can also decompose into mere puddles. From a single hair to the skin and muscles, everything can be liquefied and solidified, be it to evade an enemy's attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack from a liquefied state Maintaining this form requires that the clan member keep themseves constantly hydrated, but in this form the can also draw upon and control nearby water by immersing and merging amongst the liquid. And best of all - by liquefying their whole body at will, it makes it impossible for the Hozuki to receive damage from physical attacks. When the user passes out, they turn into a jelly-like, dormant state until consciousness is regained.

Description: Once the Hozuki begin to understand their blood and how to control it, they learn to combine their ninjutsu powers in order to give their 'jelly' special properties. In this case, the Hozuki's very essence transforms into an acidic poison, corrosive on contact and highly invasive upon sensing foreign bodies. The best part about it all is that the Hozuki's color does not change one bit, giving no indication that they are wielding cursed waters. When combined with other clan techniques, this essence alteration can be highly effective for combat.
Domain: Hozuki. Must know 'Hydration' for rank being learned.

Youka was swept away by the tide, and found that she could not swim. So, she drowned. Yep. Shark bait! Fuuuu! Dead.

( ooc: Sorry Masumi. x.x I have a really big headache and not in the mood to battle anymore. However, you would have won either way, as I currently have no technique to dodge a pwnsome acid-wave-shark attack. Thanks for the good fight, it was fun~ )

Weary, battered and worn out Masumii passed out as her jutsu was dispel. Laying upon the drenched sand, with the sun casting it light down upon her she sighed deeply. Even after all her struggle this woman had absolutely no water! A vein throbbed and appeared as if it'd explode as Masumi's face was molded with anguish.

"Dammit! I'm gonna die of dehydration!"

And so, even though she manage to attain victory her vessel would be left in tis unforgiving environment to cook beneath the super nova above....
