- Apparel: On missions, Kumojin wears a black outfit that tightly hugs his body with a white spider on the chest. The spider is a symbol of his clan and each of the spider’s legs extend from the body of the spider symbol, clear to the end of one limb. This gives it the appearance of 8 white stripes. At the end of each of the spider’s limbs, the hand or foot is covered by a black glove to prevent him from dealing to much damage to his fingers when he pulls tightly. This is his general mission outfit and is what he uses when he isn’t in the village, most of the time. When he knows the terrain and expects to be there awhile, he may switch to different colored outfits, with the same general pattern. Inside the village, Kumojin wears a pair of pants that go to his ankles and a pair of boots, completely forgoing the shirt, since it would be a hassle to keep buying six-armed shirts and they aren’t the easiest thing to take off.
[The mission outfit looks like Venom, with 6 arms.] - Body Appearance: Kumojin is a Sasanagi and as such, has a rather unique body structure. Two extra arms on each side of his body mark him, easily as a Sasanagi clan member. His arms are strong and well-toned, instead of thin like most users. Each arm has been trained the same, leaving them all to look the same as well. His skin is a light tan color, mostly stemming from the fact that he is almost always in some shadow or another. His hair, in contrast with his body, is a dark brown color instead of a lighter color. His eyes are also dark brown.
- Blemishes & Scars: Kumojin’s body is in pretty good condition. There is a bit of light scarring here and there from training exercises, but nothing major. The most noticeable problem with his body is that his arms are slightly longer than most people and are rather rough, especially the hands. His fingers have lines in them from the pressure of pulling his bow string back constantly.
COGNITION[/u]
- Personality: The silent guardian. He lives to be unknown and to protect those dear to him by destroying all else. His loyalty is unquestioned, and most of the time people don’t realize that he is even helping.
- Alignment: Neutral Good
- Allegiance: 1: His family, 2: His village/fellow trainees, 3: Everyone else in the village not part of his generation, 4: Rest of the world.
- Quirks & Tendencies: His most recognizable tendency is to be in the shadows. He prefers to be at a rather large distance before doing anything and he prefers not to be seen if he is helping people. He gets his greatest pleasure from making people wonder who helped them and he dislikes taking credit for most things, though he will take credit for missions, but he is very quiet about it if he did a good job. If he does poorly, however, he is rather apologetic.
- Likes & Dislikes: Kumina is a normal kid, in most aspects of his life and likes what most kids do. He likes sweet candy, having fun, playing with people, and socializing with other people. On missions, however, his personality completely switches. He becomes extremely quiet and only eats when necessary. He also becomes a very “shy” person, preferring to stay in the background and hiding behind the front lines. He enjoys completing his mission and abhors the thought of failure, though he has accepted it as something inevitable.
His dislikes are just as similar. He hates threats to his family. When on missions, he also dislikes brash strategies and thinks things should be thought through before acted upon, though he has seen both ways work and fail. Kumina’s most hated personality is someone who rushes in with no thought of dying or who has accepted death. - History
Kumojin was born in the Otogakure, the village of sound. The village was rather populous, but had a history that seemed to follow it ever since the older days. Whether the rumors are true or not, no one knew, but they still persisted. One of those rumors was that the founder of Otogakure was a mad genius who tried to destroy the world, and that 5 clans helped him do it. One of those 5 clans was Sasanagi, the golden spider men. To prevent their son from suffering the stigma of being a Sasanagi of Otogakure, they abandoned him near the village of Iwagakure, far away from the village of sound.
Not long after, a ninja was returning from the village and found a child in the wilds. The child was slightly deformed, having two stubs on its sides, but that did not deter the ninja. He brought the child and requested permission to take care of the child. The village elders reluctantly agreed, but said that if he was a sleeper agent, when he “awakened” he would be killed without a single thought. Though these terms were harsh, they were accepted. After this, the family was watched constantly and every action of them and the child were reported, for the next several years.
Not long after, about the child’s eight month in the village, the growths on his side grew into 4 extra arms. It was apparent where he came from, clan wise, but not what village or if any at all. The child was quickly walking fast on its 6 hands and 2 legs. It moved like a spider, quick and decisive. It took another few months before the child was walking on two legs. By this time, the child was 3 years old, but had only been in the village 1 year. The child quickly began to notice that it was being watched. It wasn’t something it disliked and it would occasionally wave at the people sent to keep track of it. This wasn’t due to high senses, but due to the child’s connection with spiders and the fact they weren’t trying to hide from such a young child.
Over the next few years, Kumojin discovered that, no matter what he did, it had a stigma to it. Even helping people was seen as having an alternative motive from him. It ostracized him and this kept up until the age of 9. By this time, he was already in the academy and he had learned a few techniques, but he mostly focused on Taijutsu, allowing him to use his extra arms to their fullest. By the time he had graduated, many things had happened, but the two most important were that he found a wandering master to teach him an advanced taijutsu, though it devastated his chakra control, and he found that things he did were only branded with the stigma of a spies touch if they knew he did it. When he did helpful things and no one knew it was him, he didn’t get recognition much, but his good deeds were taken at face value.
The next two years of his life were spent trying to perfect the technique the wandering master had taught him. He had to do it without a master, leaving his body heavily strained many times, but not broken. A little later in life, he had learned to train with others in the village, but this wasn’t as useful. People felt different around him, and Kumojin quickly took up an art he could practice alone. It was an art of archery, where he could attack from the shadows and help without being seen, without infecting those around him with the stigma of “the spy’s” touch.
