Branches of Fate
Rank: C
Description: The Hero Tree, symbol of Takigakure and a testament to its slowly rising power, is guarded constantly by men and women who would gladly give their life to preserve its strength, and are hand chosen by the villages council to protect it at all costs. But the village council, is missing. Though vast in number, its members have begun to disappear with startling frequency, resulting in a gap of power an ambitious few are all too eager to use to their advantage. Luckily, surveillance of the surrounding area has shown that those members who have gone missing, do so by entering The Cold Claw Caves, an infamously dangerous place leading into the maze-like structure of overlapping waterfalls within greater Taki No Sato. ANBU Scouts were sent, hoping to uncover the true nature of the disappearing councilmen, but found themselves quickly lost within the labyrinth, endlessly assaulted by beings they could only refer to as 'water spirits'; many ANBU lost their lives. The mystery of the missing council members is perhaps too dangerous a task for mere genin, but you can still aid your village. Your mission is to enter The Cold Claw Caves, and search the winding paths within to successfully retrieve the bodies of your fallen comrades. Be warned; these water spirits are individually weak, but congregated in great numbers to overcome Takigakure's ANBU personnel, behaving largely like animals guarding a nest. Whenever you successfully find a corpse, there will no doubt be at least one of these spirits attempting to prevent you from leaving. Defeat it quickly, and return.
Restrictions: Requires at least 1 Genin. Repeatable.
Rewards: 50 EXP + 1,000 Ryo
The Sisterhood - Delta
Rank: C
Description: The priests of the Brotherhood, an organization whose only purpose is the continued prosperity of Taki No Kuni, have found themselves at odds with a small women's rights group, who declare that the female population of the Hidden Waterfall, notoriously barred from entry by right of tradition, be allowed to serve among their ranks, gaining all the privileges and benefits such a position allows. The ancient rules regarding membership to the Brotherhood do not explicitly state that women cannot join, but they are dated and not in keeping with the modern understanding that certain values must not be challenged, in order to maintain harmony and cohesion. An obscure but relevant law dictates that such disputes must be settled by right of combat, and in response, this women's rights group, calling themselves 'The Sisterhood', have assembled a great number of warriors willing to fight for that purpose. The Brotherhood requests you to fight on their behalf, and remind these women of their place. Your mission is to defeat one of the Sisterhood's representatives in a trial by combat, slowly ensuring that the order of Priests retains their power without being corrupted. Killing the opposing representative is unnecessary, but can also be overlooked if the circumstance calls for it. There are many battles that need to be fought, so each victory counts. Matches will be held in Taki No Sato.
Restrictions: Requires at least 1 Genin. Non-Ninja may take this mission as well. Repeatable. Taking this mission prevents one from taking the mission "The Sisterhood - Epsilon". Either gender can participate in this mission.

The Sisterhood - Epsilon
Rank: C
Description: The Sisterhood is an organization just as dedicated to protecting Taki No Sato as its counterpart, the close-minded and dim-witted collection of old priests who cling to the title of Brothers. A ridiculous law, founded when the female population of the village was so low that each new birth was seen as a miracle, somehow still governs the actions of a community that has grown considerably in the past hundred years. As times change, so do perceptions and understandings, and any enlightened being knows that any person has the right to serve their country and home. These priests seek to intimidate our movement by insisting on a trial by combat, but instead of backing down, we're going to respond in kind, and have accepted their challenge to prove our commitment. We are assembling warriors from all over; shinobi, samurai, barbarians and chiefs, the title does not matter, all that matters is that we win, and ensure that future generations are not hindered from doing their duty by a few uneducated old men. Your mission is to defeat one of the Brotherhood Priest's representatives in a trial by combat, slowly ensuring that the Sisterhood be allowed to do what our allegiance to home and country gives us the right to.
Repeatable. Taking this mission prevents one from taking the mission "The Sisterhood - Delta". Either gender can participate in this mission.
Rewards: 50 EXP + 1,000 Ryo
Note: You can provide your own NPC's for these missions, or request a GM, of course. Those taking either of the "Sisterhood" missions can even be pitted against each other, though killing your opponent would then naturally be looked down upon.
