I request/suggest that the cost of the Molding Clay be reduced for the Kibaku-Nendo.

Kibaku-Nendo Standard Molding Clay

Special: Obtained only through IC RP. Simply RP finding a merchant, and get a staff to approve. Standard clay for all Kibaku-Nendo clan members. Each Pack contains 5 individual clay blobs ready for use. Keep in mind that when first creating a Kibaku-Nendo, you may opt to begin with a single molding set instead of the other items!
Description: A standard molding clay kit which contains small blobs of whitish clay, no larger than balled fist, which serve as the base for the clan member's explosive techniques. A clan exclusive clay molding set, this is sold strictly by clan merchants through a secure identification system which yields fakes from the real deal - not that a non-clan member could do much with the clay anyways!

I have been thinking this for a while, but with the way missions are set up and the cost of performing some of the Kibaku-nendo jutsu the price of 5,000 ryo is just too high. I have looked over the B-rank secondary weapons and as far as I can tell although there are some secondary weapons priced at 5,000 ryo they are non-perishables. However, the most expensive consumable secondary weapon which is B-rank is only 1,000 ryo per set (Fuuma Shuriken). At the same time a B-rank mission on average, from what I can tell from the villages, only rewards 2,500 ryo. Therefore it requires 2 B-rank missions just to purchase 1 B-rank secondary weapon. To make matters worse a B-rank mission can be difficult depending and can result in combat which would almost guarantees the Kibaku-Nendo utilizing his jutsu. When looking over the Kibaku-Nendo jutsu one can see that only 2 jutsu in the entire arsenal use less than 5 clay blobs. Which means more than likely a Kibaku-Nendo on a B-rank mission is going to be using more clay than he can even afford to buy after completing the mission. I recommend that the price of the clay be reduced to at least half. This will maintain the higher cost to normal consumable secondary weapons, due to its special nature, while making it reasonable to use in combat.

Though my opinion doesn't really count for much as I'm only a Storyteller...I agree 100%. That's outrageous. And a genin Kibaku Nendo won't really be able to go on many B rank missions anyway, unless they can somehow find someone to accompany them, which most Chuunin/Jounin don't do very often, especially if the genin in question is a relatively new member. There's no way that something defined as 'standard' material should be more expensive than...every thing else comparable to it in rank, lol. That's the opposite of standardization.

I'd say make it cost even less than half of what it does now. A C rank mission should pay enough to be able to buy the clay to perform a single jutsu. Wtf.

To kind of dispute your argument a bit ... most 'B' ranked secondary weapons (which includes your clay) cost 5,000 ryo.

That being said, I do agree with you about the price of the clay. Considering they are the primary item used by Kibaku-Nendo, having their price so high just doesn't make a lot of sense. I just want you to keep in mind that at 5,000 ryo, the conversion is actually 1,000 per blob. So you're spending 1k per jutsu, which is still a ridiculous amount. This is my proposed change:

This way, 1 blob = 200 ryo. You could essentially perform a two 'D' rank missions or one 'C' rank mission to get a pack, which is perfectly acceptable in my book. This will also allow Genin to start out with up to 3 packs, giving them a bit of a head-start.

Releases can cover just as large an area as most of the Kibaku Nendo techniques except for a few techniques which can easily kill the user. That's not even an issue.

Besides anything of that magnitude requires a fair mount of chakra. More than most would have unless they are spending the extra XP on it. The smallest amount of chakra used in a jutsu is Mid and those explosions only cover 5 meters per bomb. Any Jutsu that create explosions over 10 meters cost a Massive chakra so its doubtful that anyone will be able to use that more than once or twice in a fight any way.

Uh power of clay bombs is based on the dominion tech which is a Low cost even at S-rank.

True, but the range of explosives seems to be finite regardless of power. An S-rank bomb might blow everything up to smithereens within that 5 meter radius, but nothing from what I have read makes me believe that increasing the dominion rank to S increases the radius of the bomb at all, merely makes it more deadly within that range. However, if I am wrong I would be interested to know.

You can't even body replace to get out of the way of a 5 meter blast, and rarely could you make an effective defense in an instant to defend yourself from it.

Any attack can be countered with the right preparation. Besides I wasn't arguing that the bombs are an effective weapon, but merely to your worry of a Kibaku-Nendo going around and blowing everything up. Given the restrictions of radius of blast and cost of jutsu one could fight an opponent, but they would run out of chakra long before being able to destroy a village per say. Now I know Deidara's fight with Gaara seemed that he could have, but given the length of the fight put into NRP terms he would have long run out of chakra before doing harm to a large portion of the city. Only jutsu that would risk severe harm to the user would have the sort of capacity.

You're just QQing anyways, Sharkk. If a price of 5,000 ryo is a deterrent for power, and the means to achieve that power is mission span, then the problem lies elsewhere.

They could use Clay Formation to create clay anyways. There's worse. Avoiding a 5 m blast is not even nearly as difficult as avoiding fuuton or raiton with masteries that make it move at 30 m/s. Clay creations are not nearly as fast.
