I have a few questions about two items: The World Map and The Gourd.
World Map
Rank: C
Type: Accessory / Self
Special: Allows the player to record unique locations, such as hidden villages, gates, special event areas, etc.
Description: Given the extreme topographical changes suffered by the world as a result of the Great War, things are no longer as they used to be. However, with the World Map equipped, the shinobi will never have to be worried about getting lost again!
Cost: 2,000 Ryo per Map
They it was was explained to me was that the map just allows you record locations, so essentially, it's just a blank topographical map. If that's the case, why can't characters simply make their own maps as they go along. If I'm in the Leaf village, why could I not just record my journey from there into another country and then once I find another hidden village, record that and travel between the two without getting lost? If the locations of the villages aren't on the map, I could still get lost looking for them and then consult my world map to find myself--which I could also do using a map I made if I backtracked properly.
I could see the map being more useful if non-shinobi villages and such are recorded, but wouldn't it be easier to simply ask for directions in one of these non-hidden villages when trying to find another country/village?
As for the second item
Gourd
Rank: C - A
Type: Accessory / Self
Special: Rank determines gourd strength and carrying capacity.
Description: Shaped and colored to the player's liking, these items usually hang at the shinobi's back, and provide ample storage room for certain elements advantageous to the user that are otherwise unavailable to the area. From sand and water to much, much more, this accessories provides a wide variety of uses.
Cost: 500 // 5,000 // 10,000
I'm curious as to the actual size restrictions and carrying capacities of the various sizes. I can understand that an A rank gourd carries enough water for an A rank technique, but is that it? What about techniques that would take different amounts of water? How many C rank techniques could be powered by an A rank gourd? Exactly how big can I have my gourd be..if I wanted something bigger would I need to submit a special item (ex. an 'S' rank gourd?).
