"You should be ashamed of yourself," I muttered rather blatantly at the old man standing in front of me, wavering back in forth in place like he was on the verge of teetering out of consciousness. If I didn't know any better, or know Wanshu for that matter, I would've taken this escapade of his was the real deal and flanked to his assistance; luckily, wisdom breeds young, so I turned a blind eye to him as he put the icing on the cake by faking a perfectly executed fainting act for the crowd of people who surrounded him only moments after him hitting the ground.
I swear, you would've thought he had went to school for acting and received a masters, or whatever the hell they get for perfecting their craft, because he conveyed them rather easily. His entire execution was spot on and he managed to fool everyone in the market place like he did every other place he went, all the while running their pockets and robbing them of their possessions, jewelry, and money.
Within only moments the small crowd diminished, completely blind to the con that had JUST been pulled on them by a poor, mucky lookin' old timer. People these days are dumb as fuck. Wanshu inched his way off the ground and ran over to me with a grin that spread from eat-to-ear, digging into his kimono he retrieved two watches, a dolphin wallet, a tampon, and a gold-plated ring.
"It's easy as 1-2-3, all you gots to do is sell it and you're in there every time, kiddo." He told me in the coolest of tones, the greed in his eyes was repulsive but the use of his trade, all the same, never failed to impress me. "But I'm sure ya know this by now, you were always my top pupil~huhuhu!"
Suddenly, before I could even reply, I got the sense that someone had been watching me. I turned left, I turned right, and saw no one. This sense--this feeling, was one I couldn't shake. Someone was looking at me, and no just a normal glance, they were watching me. I'unno who it was but I knew they were there. My guards are up.
