For centuries, mutants have been living among humans - some with undectectable powers, and some with more obvious mutations - and the general population was unaware of this new type of person...until a few years ago. As to be expected, humans were fearful of mutants, and some even killed their relatives who were mutants. It was a sad and horrible time for mutants, as they were trying to survive daily living. But it got worse over the years.
However, the crescendo was yet to come. Unfortunately, the Scarlet Witch became insane She uttered three words that no one was expecting: No More Mutants. More than half of the world's mutant's population lost their powers, and some even died due to the loss of them. Among the depowered mutants were: Blob, Callisto, Jubilee and Magneto. The Xavier Institute was hit the hardest, it seems, for when Scarlet Witch uttered those three disastrous words, there were only twenty-seven students left powered. To make matters worse, the depowered students, who were being sent home, were killed in an explosion, set up by the Purifiers. William Stryker and his men attacked the Institute. In anger for the death of his girlfriend, Wallflower, Elixir managed to activate his secondary mutation, and killed Stryker.
Now, three months after M-Day, everything seems to be going as smoothly as they can possibly go, the X-Men are greeted by someone: Jubilee, and she has her powers back. While the X-Men try to discover the cause of Jubilee's newly-regained powers, mutants across the globe are rediscovering their powers. Not only that, but the Dead are coming back to life. Among the returning dead are students of Xavier's, as well as Emma Frost's old team: The Hellions. The X-Men are now trying to find the cause of this new phenomena, while getting old students coming back to the school, and trying to fight off some of the X-Men's old foes.
The answer may be more than they expected.....
