Description: In a standing position with both a katana and wakizashi drawn, the user brings the tips of both blades to a point. In one graceful movement, he throws the weight of his upper body forwards and draws his knees into his chest so that only the two blades extend from his circular form. The quick shift in weight, as well as a powerful kick off the ground propels the user forwards and over the opponent in a rapid spinning motion. Because both arms are drawn in with the blades extended, the fast spinning swords serve to create a spinning disk of sword with cutting force similar to that of a buzz saw. The after affects of this high speed movement leaves the user slightly disoriented for the three seconds after landing. By learning the A rank of this jutsu, you can remove the side effects.

Description: An advance form of Jintentate. Commencing from a standing position, the practitioner unsheathes their sword then rotates the hilt of their blade in a spiral motion, the result being a rapid rotation that releases a burst of wind two meters in radius from the axis of their spin. The wind burst allows a user to dispel fire, explosive force, or solid weaponry within the immediate area. A person hit by the force of this technique will be knocked back up to five meters, however, the jutsu is only capable of being used once per thread.

Ekijō ha (Liquid Blade)

Special: By learning an additional C rank of this technique, you are capable of changing the direction of the thrust mid strike an additional time for a maximum of four directional changes in the course of your attack.
Description: Commencing from any position, the practitioner lowers their grip on their katana to the base of the hilt, thus allowing for more fluidity in their strike. This grip consists of one hand curled around the base of the hilt, with the other hand palm pressed against the bottom of the hilt. Extending their arm in one blinding strike, the user is able to easily manipulate the direction of the blade, changing directions mid strike to avoid a block and increase the success rate for said strike. The thrusting motion, combined with the speed of the user’s strike creates the illusion that the blade is in a liquid-like state up until the moment of connection.

Hanpo (Half-Step)

Description: Utilizing a high speed movement comparable to shunshin, the user is able to sidestep and evade incoming attacks at blinding speeds. This at times, forces an opponent to overextend, and also serves to create an opening in your foe’s defense. Because of the high strain it places on a user’s muscles, using it passed your limits will result in the immobility of your legs for one post.

Hayauchi (Quick Draw)

Special: Can only be used one time per thread, unless retrained. Increasing by one each time this technique is relearned.
Description: From a standing position, the practitioner tightly grips the hilt of their blade. Thereafter, they unsheath, slash upwards, and resheath their blade in the blink of an eye. The high speed movement creates the illusion that the user never even unsheathed their blade, utilizing the power of surprise against those ungifted with advance perception.

Sudenigiri (Bare Handed Grip)

Type: Taijutsu / Kenjutsu / Defensive
Range: 0-5 meters

Special: Can only be used to apprehend an attack of equal or lower rank. Must know the corresponding rank of Iaijutsu per rank of Sudenigiri they wish to learn.
Description: From any position, the practitioner utilizes precision and speed to catch the opponent’s blade between their bare hands. This technique is only effective against bladed weaponry, and techniques of equal or lower rank. Attempting it on a technique of higher rank will result in complete failure, causing the user to receive the full force of the attack. The user must be unarmed to effectively perform the catch, for Sudenigiri is generally used as a last resort.

Migotona Suto (Stunning Strike)

Type: Taijutsu / Kenjutsu / Offensive / Supplementary
Range: 0-5 meters

Special: Area affected by the attack will be paralyzed for 1/4th of a post, plus ¼ for each time retrained (Max 1 post)
Description: From any position with an unsheathed sword, the practitioner steps forth, delivering a driving slash to an opponent. Utilizing their body weight, and the momentum created from turning their hips, they are able to unleash a powerful strike with the purpose of being blocked. Intended to be defended against, the strike sends sharp vibrations down the opponents connected limb causing it to be paralyzed for a short period of time. The success of this technique is reliant on the user’s sword connecting with the weapon of an opponent. Due to the strain of Migotona Suto on the user, this technique may not be used more than three times per thread.

Kakushi Sonzai (Hidden Presence)

Special: The user is capable of removing the presence of any attack one rank less than their current rank of Kakushi Sonzai known.
Description: From years of practice, the practitioner has developed the ability hide their presence. Utilizing this skill in combat, to erase any hint of attack or suggestion in their movements. This has become a powerful tool in Kenjutsu, and is said to even prove effective against sharingan users, although techniques of equal or lower status to the rank of the sharingan are still perceivable.

• Bazusō (Buzz Saw) - How does this exactly block 2 attacks or 25 projectiles? It sounds to me like you just jump over the opponent and somersault, mimicking the motion of a buzz saw. All the extra defense seems like too much utility to me.
  
  
• Jintentate: Teikiatsu (Rotating Shield: Cyclone) - Either bring the utility down ( losing wind burst) or increase the chakra cost to High.
  
  
• Ekijō ha (Liquid Blade) 1|2 Denied. This isnt possible. It's basically a free hit against anyone that tries to block your strike, and no matter how fast the strike, the sword wont become ductile enough to bend around stuff.
  
  
• Hanpo (Half-Step) I'm not crazy about this. I'll talk it over with some other people and get back to you, so we'll skip it for now.
  
  
• Hayauchi (Quick Draw) Due to the sheer speed, you'll have to up the chakra cost.
  
  
• Sudenigiri (Bare Handed Grip) - Needs a domain. You also wont really get to 'automatically' manipulate their blade just because you've caught it. It'll be tricky to get out once you've caught it, but it's better than taking a sword to the face when you couldn't draw your own blade.
  
  
• Migotona Suto (Stunning Strike) Why is the chakra cost mid - high? I also dont want to see this getting spammed, since it's a simple ability, but powerful. Any way you can limit it's usage per thread or figure out how every strike doesnt turn into this?
  
  
  
• Kakushi Sonzai (Hidden Presence) - 1|2 . Sorry, no go. You can't turn kenjutsu's weakness against sharingan into an advantage with 1 tech.

• Bazusō (Buzz Saw) - The way I see it, the fast moving spin over the opponent with blades extended out would create a barrier of sorts with the blade. Of course the weak point would be the axis of the spin since it has the least protection. Ill take out the defense part then.

• Ekijō ha (Liquid Blade) - I disagree with this attack being a free hit. Just because it can alter course doesn't mean that its unavoidable or completely unblockable. Stepping out of the swords range or slashing upwards from the lowest point to knock it off course would be sufficient. Especially since its only a piercing type attack. If I limited it to one change in course and the range of that change being one foot would you reconsider?
  
  
• Hanpo (Half-Step) - Considering its basically a shorter taijutsu version of shunshin, I thought the same limitations would be appropriate. Anyways, I'll wait to see what you all decide.
  
  
• Hayauchi (Quick Draw) - Increased the chakra cost to x2 high. Hope that will be sufficient.
  
  
• Sudenigiri (Bare Handed Grip) - Added a domain and removed the portion about manipulating the sword to avoid confusion. I merely meant to say that catching it allowed openings for other opportunities, but it should be better now.
  
  
• Migotona Suto (Stunning Strike) - Limited the use to three times per thread. Removed the high chakra cost, not sure why it was there to begin with.
  
  
• Kakushi Sonzai (Hidden Presence) - Well its not just one technique, its a multi-rank technique requiring 3000 exp spent in kenjutsu (about the amount required for 3 masteries). Also, with the 1st tomoe of sharingan, this jutsu wouldn't have any affect on you until B rank. This seems plausible considering the battle between sasuke and rock lee, where he beat the uchiha with taijutsu and speed alone. But if not I'll just remove it.
  
  
• notes - if you insist that the last tech shouldn't exist, I understand. I was merely applying the logic of the naruto series to martial arts, since taijutsu seems to be very lacking in comparison to other styles. I could also up the requirement for the last one, from 3000 exp in kenjutsu to 5000.

Buzz Saw: In the section designated "Special", clearly state that the user must possess both a Katana and a Wakizashi in order to perform this technique. On that note; can this not be performed with two similarly sized bladed weapons? How long can the user remain in the air and hold the 'buzzsaw' effect? Does this technique have to be performed starting from a standing position (If you were to have jumped into air beforehand, or be falling from a higher point, would you be able to just hold your swords out, start spinning, and perform this technique, or is each separate preparatory movement necessary to be successful?).


Rotating Shield: Cyclone: The additional C rank training of an A rank technique will not increase the number of times this can be used per thread. Increase the retrain rank to match the rank of the technique itself (A). Also indicate that by being able to 'dispel' fire, you're talking about things like an exploding tag going off, or an extremely weak katon technique; some frame of reference for exactly what this jutsu can negate. If someone is shooting a 20 meter fireball at you, for instance, rotating your sword should not simply make it go poof.


Liquid Blade: I've read your proposed changes to this technique, and noted your objections to how it is perceived. 2/2 Denied, for the reasons that were stated before.


Half-Step: 2/2 Denied. Taijutsu Primaries can still learn the D rank Shunshin in order to achieve the same basic effect, without the added addition of 'side-stepping at "blinding" speeds" mid-attack, making power-gaming the only real benefit of having this technique.


Quick-Draw: x2 High is fine. Indicate that after the outlined number of retrains (which can be located in the guide to customs) the chakra cost will go up.


Bare-handed Grip: I just want to be clear that this will work against Taijutsu only, and even then, will be in some part up to the skill of the role-player to accurately perform without simply getting your arms cut through. Also note that if someone is using some sort of relic...you're not just catching there attack willy nilly.


Hidden Presence: 2/2 Denied. What little logic there is in a series featuring ninja in orange jumpsuits notwithstanding, it isn't sufficient to warrant what you want to accomplish with this technique.
