KONOHAGAKURE LORE
"Konoha, or Leaf, was at one point considered to be one of the strongest military-shinobi forces in existence, that is, until the War took it all away. As its names implies, the village itself is naturally hidden amongst the plethora of dense, tall, strong trees that provide an eternal leafy-green covering. Residing within a Major Nation, its leader is referred to as the 'Hokage', or 'Fire Shadow'."

THE LEADERS.
➝ Hyūga “F” Ichijin. (pc, shodaime hokage)
- The first ‘Fire Shadow’ to lead Konohagakure, Hyūga Ichijin’s reign was all but memorable. Accustomed to doing the typical, no solid innovations or tangible progression was seen while he was in office. Nonetheless, still a respected member of the community and praised for keeping the village intact during his term, his short-lived commander-ship was modest.
- Ryūsuke, the second to command the Hidden Leaf, the Uchiha had taken sovereignty at a very young age. Nonetheless, his inadequacy in terms of years and experience was dwarfed by his idealism of “true peace”, personifying the substance behind Konoha’s “Will of Fire”. Several large steps towards the future were made underneath Ryūsuke direct command, one important task being the completion of the alliance with Kumogakure. Records show the village was at its most productive under his reign and a short era of peace was evidently present. Nonetheless, such peace was bound to be devastated and during the Second World War, Konohagakure was wrecked beneath Kōketsu’s tyranny. While some blame Ryūsuke for such a downfall, the vast majority still praise him for being able to bring the village from the brink of destruction and rejuvenating the ruined village. His term as Hokage would continue for several years until he was presumed dead during the Yonbi assault in Kusagakure. His legacy will forever be embedded into Konohagakure’s walls and her people.
- The Third of the ‘Fire Shadows’ Tenrai Jiyū took office following Ryūsuke’s demise. A strong-willed and caring man, he was favored by the people of Konohagakure to lead them in hopes that he would salvage what the Uchiha had left behind. While efforts were made to uphold the former Hokage’s idea of armistice, all that had transpired almost sent Konohagakure into darkness. During his reign, an internal rebellion sparked as the Hidden Leaf were threatened by her own people. Jiyū, while attempting to maintain stability and peace also found himself fighting a terminal plague that struck the village; some—while not openly—claim he was the man behind such a wide-spread and deathly contamination. Due to unknown reasons, he has stepped down from Hokage.
NOTABLE PLAYERS.
➝ Hyūga Kohana. (pc, current hokage)
- While Kohana’s term was ephemeral as Hokage, her actions would be whispered through the walls of history for many years to come. The commander behind the famed ‘Purge of Konohagakure’, the young Hyūga took office following the contagions outbreak and in attempts to cleanse the Hidden leaf, her pure scheme came with her hopes of bombing the entire village. Hosting a deep-seated hatred for her clan and her people, a secret animosity resides within her being—the extent of how far she will go to show how much her hate is rooted hasn’t been seen yet—hopefully it will never come to such. A companion of both Jiyū and Ryūsuke, she blames the Nidaime for all the wrong that has spilled over into their home, claiming he abandoned them when they needed him the most. She has recently reclaimed power of Konohagkure.

THE HISTORY.
➝ Arc One: Threads of Fate.
- In honor of its name, Konohagakure had made it a precedence to remain as peaceful as the leaves that surrounded her borders. Known for her powerful shinobi and the unmoving philosophy, “The Will of Fire”, this diplomatic plateau was quite reserved and maintained to its own affairs.
Renowned and tucked tidily within the safety of one of the largest counties, the Hidden Leaf had the pleasure of conserving a strong grip on peace. War hadn’t touched her limitations for quite some time and under the sovereignty of Hyūga Ichijin, conflict from the outside world was non-existent. However, while this wide-spread amity was tangible, the economic integrity and shinobi populace was all but sufficient. Numbers were in the decline and steady revenue hadn’t manifested. Konohagakure had reached what one would consider a “diminishing point” and as the Hyūga remained passive to this concern, his reign came to an abrupt end as he simply vanished into the dark of night.
With the absence of one Hokage, it was only within the nature of the Shinobi system to find a successor. This heir came in the form of a young child whose blood and legacy would blossom wealth within the Hidden Village. Uchiha Ryūsuke, only thirteen years of age, was inaugurated into Office and attained the prestigious title of Nidaime Hokage. Quite young and without the proper experiences to satisfy the title of ire Shadow, he was forced to discard his childhood and adopt the styling of a leader at a very young age.
This however, wouldn’t cripple the village; no, the results of this startling outcome were one of the village’s greatest moments. Under his time in power, not only had the population of Shinobi increased, but the Hidden Leaf was hit with a maelstrom of active political, and pecuniary activity the likes it had never seen. This child had developed a seed of potential which sprouted into whirlwind of possibilities for a once dying village. Praised for his courageous efforts to turn Konohagakure into the single-most vigorous village known to the Shinobi world, Ryūsuke has been considered arguably the greatest Hokage the Village had seen. Under his rule, a union with Kumogakure was instilled into reality which would further bridge the Hidden Leaf to greatest in the coming years… until:
War.
Kirigakure had started a war with not only her enemies, but the world itself, and Konohagakure was stripped of its era of peace and thrust into the tides of warfare. Blood was shed and lives were lost and even at the risk of death and devastation, Ryūsuke led his village to battle at the final frontier. However, with all his strength, he nor his people weren’t prepared for what was to come and with the falling of the grand meteor beckoned forth by Uchiha Kōketsu. Konohagakure was turned to ash, along with every other Hidden Village.
- While the destruction was wide-spread, and thousands found themselves without homes and maybe even family, this open the greatest opportunity for change. Still under the reign of Uchiha Ryūsuke, Konohagakure was ushered into a new era of ‘peace’. Renovations of the village and her people had begun and things were truly churning on all cylinders. The Peace treaty between nations had been proposed and thoroughly analyzed. Its foundation constraining conflict from the near future and this alone gave the village enough time to rebuilt its walls and develop its trades and strengths.
It was a tedious and gradual process and took a number of years, however, the Hidden Leaf had finally found new life. Restored to her former glory and replenished with new, vigorous shinobi, Konohagakure had regained her political and military integrity once lost for years. Several years after the Great Shinobi war solidified Ryūsuke popularity and worth as Hokage and all seemed well for the Hidden Leaf.
Right when everything seemed to be going well for the Village a devastating blow was dealt. Konohagakure’s prized Hokage, Ryūsuke, vanished. Called to battle by the newly growing colony of Kusagakure no sato, Konohgakure, along with the other villages made their way to the Grass country. The battled would span quite some time before the tides of conflict settled and the Uchiha disappeared in the grand battle against the Yonbi in Kusa no Kuni’s terrain. Most presumed him dead while others thought he used this most advantageous moment to flee, however after this incident, the Hidden Leaf would never be the same. Konohagakure’s era of peace and prosperity would forever be stained with this one fatal, contentious incident.
With his absence, Konohgakure was once again plagued with the decision of who to accept as their leader; though this wasn’t the only thing plaguing them.
- Tenrai Jiyū—Ryūsuke’s successor would soon take office and under his reign many assumed their level of prosperity would surface again; it wouldn’t. While not directly involved, Jiyū found himself at a dogmatic contest against his own people as times in Konohagakure couldn’t have been anymore more rigid. Civil War broke out along the streets of the Hidden Leaf and talk of a conspiracy involving the new Leader erupted into the village’s senses. His popularity quickly shifted and he became infamous for his deeds to try and stop the domestic upheaval. This wasn’t his only concern for the village would also suffer, yet again, another strike.
A rather potent and terminal plague infested the population of the Hidden Leaf; leading to deaths in the masses and illness in even more. This would become a great problem and akin to the history of her leaders, Jiyū would vanish, right when his people needed him the most.
However, Konohagakure would find a new hero to bring her from this terminal plague. Hyūga Kohana—one of Ryūske’s colleagues and fellow Konoha citizen soon took the position as Hokage. Under her reign, the village proposed efforts to generate a vaccine to cure this rare plague. However, a true care didn’t come into fruition until attempts to abolish the entire village almost came into play; this event would have been known as the “Great Purge”. Kohana held a deep, dark hatred for her own village and woul have happily executed the termination of thousands if uncertain events didn’t change her approach.
After taking a concise break from office and allowing the Hidden Leaf to experience a secondary leader for the time being, Kohana returned and accepted her title back. Now the standing Leader of the Hidden Leaf, the Hyūga will hopefully keep her village in the hands of opulence like her forefathers. A village as rich in history and potential as Konohagakure doesn’t deserve anything less; Kohana wouldn’t accept anything less.
Konohagakure had died many times, but like a phoenix, she ascended from her own ashes to become something even greater; this tradition will continue into the depths of time itself until eternity found such a cycle ludicrous. Her presence will forever be etched into the world’s antiquity.
