FLASHBACK !It was as if the sun was kissing the back of his neck. The power of its warmth was almost intoxicating, while the subtlety of its protection was just as much the same feverish. It was sickening to know that such a power existed. As vast as the heavens, and twice as important. The sun would bear down on any and every thing that it possibly could. The clouds which would offer him rationed protection would instead offer him a chilling breeze to take away any ideas of independence that he held beneath the rays of light. The bright gleaming spots of shade would shift however, covering the ocean before him with small spots of navy that would only help patter down the loathing envy he held for the sun. It would quickly occur to him that it wasn't the power of the sun that would beckon him to envy- instead it was the vastness of it all. It had such a presence, one that could never be ignored. As his eyes would gleam down at the crystal clear waters- the tint of blue almost unreal he would see the sun. The purity of this ocean, and the freedom of the fish that would slip silently beneath his legs, all living from the influence of the sun. The glimmer in the ocean as the reflection would illuminate his golden eyes, all coming from the heaven's greatest creation. As his hands would shift movements in the wake of the oncoming waves that would splash roughly against his belly, he would feel the might of the ocean as well. It was a powerful feeling, to be within such an awesome experience. The very nature of the water which had culminated into something that had literally shaped the world. It was of these two things he could find himself the most inspired. It was where he stood now, on this pure white shore, which would extend as far as the eye could see that he would find his own light, and his own power. Turning his head up, he would take a look at the sky which would remain the exact color of the place in which he had been developed. Raising his arms, strong and unburdened, to either side of his body, his bare back would ripple with the vast number of toughened muscle that would stick to his frame. His hair would fall lazily away from his eyes as the wind would take control in his assistance to push it from his vision. His eyes would slowly close as he would drink in this vision, forever preserved by the feeling of euphoria that it inspired.
However, this immortal feeling would have its flaws which would last just as long. His fingertips dripped with the cool, salted water of this ocean. The sounds of voices behind him would begin to multiply as he would begin to allow the rest of his senses to understand their relationship with the world. Calmed by the idea of sanity, he would elude his overindulgence to turn around as his arms slowly fell to his sides. A wave would hit his hip as he did so, and his back would feel the cool tickle of the glistening liquid just as his eyes would find themselves hit with an equal shock. Tall, and thin she stood before him. The long, toned legs which would dig the toes of her feet into the sand which contrasted her silky olive skin. She appeared as though unreal, with a dress that clung to her body as if forced to be worn by the wind itself. She pleaded with her sun hat to stay with her, tucking it to her head as it, along with her hair would fight to escape her. However, as the long dull, brown hair would grace her body, and portions of her face, there was no mistaking the sheer magnitude in which her eyes held. The golden shine in which they held was something he had never expected to see again. The most gorgeous smile covered her face. However, it was more complex, so much more confusing than that. She was calling something out to him- something that he couldn't make out. Her hands waved to him, and her body danced to gain his attention. He however, would remain undeterred- lost in whatever dream he had trapped himself in. His body however would not allow himself to ignore her. The most beautiful sight he had seen in years now stood before him, so as he extended his hand, for her to take as if she were but a step away, he would do so with one hundred percent of his conviction. This was a moment that he would forever recall, and until she would arrive, it would remain frozen in time.
The petite feet of the woman would separate the sand from beneath her, making way for her powerful body to experience the ocean with the man in which she so heavily desired an interaction. It would begin there before quickly transforming into a step into the chilling grasp of the ocean. Her body would chill- hesitating slightly as she made the step. However, what could it have been that was holding her back from the next step? There was no hesitation, and no second thoughts. Before either of them could recognize what had happened, there they were, both waist deep in water, the waves pummeling their fronts and backs respectively as they stared so intimately in to each others equally golden eyes.
