Description: The Konoha Hospital is in constant need for ingrediants to make remedies and antidotes for various sicknesses and poisons. The hospital always needs new herbs picked from outside of the village to mix antidotes, but the medical shinobi lack the time to be gone from the hospital, or village. A small time nurse has offered to go on this adventure, but she is rather clumsy. Despite this she is very knowledgable in different plants and herbs.
Obective: Escort Ms. Megume outside of the village and assist her in gathering plants and herbs.
Reward: 25 EXP and 500 Ryo

The sun began to rise within the east, setting its orange gaze upon the Hidden Leaf as the birds chirp the song of a new day, echoing throughout the walls and glass of the surrounding buildings. Majority of the villagers were already outside, making their way to their own jobs, living out the lives they paved their path for in the eyes of their own hearts. The farmers began to pick their crops ready for the market, the sweepers began their work on keeping the sdtreets clean, and the higher ranking shinobi out to register themselves down for whatever missions they could grasp, or patrolling the streets to ensure their village is safe.

Helios had, however, a much different assignment. In fact, it was the only assignment he could find on the mission board that fit under his own rank and that was something he thought he could get behind. Apparently one of the medical nurses at the konoha hospital district needs to be out to gther fresh ingredients for their medicine, classified as an escort mission. Helios didn't really think it was awfully dangerous for a nurse to just wander just outside the village walls, but it was perhaps that she were to venture further within the lands. At which point, wild animals would be the more worrying thing, or worse, bandits.

The sun was about to set in at 9 o'clock, which caused some overshadowing of the trees upon much of the village. Helios hated waking up at this time of the day to find everything so dark from the shadow of the foliage around the village. Still, outfitting himself and making himself a bowl of cereal, finishing it quickly he began to make his way to the hospital district in order to meet up with his client.

It was quite a trek from the Genin apartment housing to konoha's medical district; it didn't seem like such a small a distance that an overhead view of the village would make it seem. Granted, Helios couldn't clearly remember the direct route to the hospital so he did end up taking a majority of the back routes and alley ways to the district. It had been long since he first came here. In fact, the last time he ever did wind up here was when he accidentally used his Hyouton the freeze the ground, then slipping over and giving his knee a little scuff. Then again, the lemon scent of disinfectant was something pleasant as the nurse applied the soaked wash cloth to the scrape on his leg.

Helios arrived to the front entrance of the building, looking towards it's bright white color and its very modern architecture. He did enjoy looking at the outside facia of the building as it gave a sense of comfort, of sanctuary from the pain. The white color of the outside blockwork was astounding, and reminded him of his own clan, reminding him of the shine of ice and the pale of the snow. Walking up to it, he remembered that the doors were automatic, enjoying the look of them parting as he walked towards them as though he held some sort of power over them. It was rather childish but that was his thing after all.

Making his way to the counter, Helios stepped to see a rather short, yet beautiful, receptionist jotting down figures and names on a record sheet. At first glance it seemed to be some sort of check in sheet; a list of names and times were written on the sheet of paper, but closer inspection revealed them to be appointment times after looking at the dates being recorded, a few days or weeks after today's date. However, Helios quickly turned his eyes back to the receptionist before addressing. "Sorry to bother you. I'm here to pick up a 'Ms. Megume'."

"Ah, sorry, here I am!" A voice raised above Helios' own as he saw a middle-aged woman scamper towards him in her usual nurses outfit, composed of a white blouse, apron, hate and soft shoes, fit for maneuverability. She seemed to be out of breath too, but Helios didn't bother to ask questions about what she may have been doing. probably just working. However, he did wish to acquire more information about this mission.

"So about this mission, where exactly are we heading?" Helios asked of the nurse. She kept smiling, cheerfully, as though she was just so happy about being escorted. It began to make Helios a bit uncomfortable too. However, from what she would divulge is that many of the ingrediants exist in a small forest and its clearing about a mile from the village compound, a place where only the Land of Fire has been known to grow these plants, and in itself the closest area too. As soon as Helios was able to get that information, he knew he was ready to depart for the mission, exiting the hospital with the nurse and heaving for the designated area.

It had been some time since they had been walking, but Helios ended up clamming up as soon as he had letf the gates of the hidden leaf, not saying or sharing a single word or piece of conversation with his client. His eyes kept shifting, side to side, scanning the path that lead from the village borders to within the outskirts of the compound. All he kept seeing as the darkened brown of the mark of the trees and the darkened mesh of greens and oranges of the leaves as he kept walking. Occasionally he would hear rustling within the foliage around him, causing his ears to perk up whenever it would occur, and tightening his grip around the scabbard of the chokuto he carried. Minutes seem to pass so slow for Helios, and for some reason he was kept on edge throughout the entire trek as though this was supposed to be some sort of C rank assassination mission. Was venturing into the outside world really getting to him? Was exposure to danger beginning to claw its way through his senses?

"Hey, are you okay?" The soothing, sweet voice began to pour its way through the lips of the nurse and into the ears of Helios, cleansing throughout his mind his self-doubts, his overactive mind, and most of all the tension he was beginning to experience while venturing forth on this mission. His arms relaxed, his shoulders began to slump back down from their tense positions, and his fingers begun to loosen around the scabbard of his weapon. Taking a deep breath and exhaling slowly, he began to feel his pulse slow, his heartbeat relax, and his entire body feel much more cooler and loose.

"... Yeah..." Despite what he was feeling, he couldn't show it to his client; he would appear to be too bad of an escort if he were to do otherwise. "Let's keep pressing on. It's not too far, right?" Helios turned to the woman, and just looking at her smile began to soften him from all the stress he was experiencing before. She nodded gently, not even relenting on the upbeat charm she had displayed the entire journey. However, this time it never made Helios uncomfortable, in fact it began to feel like an addiction; he just wanted to keep seeing it, and being around a person that was such a contrast to him.

Finally that had gotten to the forest clearing after nurse Megume pointed it out to Helios. He didn't really understand what made this area so special from the rest of the forests surrounding the pathways which branched off deeper into the land of fire, but regardless this was where the medical establishment had managed to secure the ingrediants for its monthly harvesting. The two of them paced themselves to the middle of the clearing at Helios' suggestion, stopping to maintain their position Helios began to quickly spin and turn hsi head, his eyes shifting from location to location scanning the branches and the shrubbery for anything that may prove to be offensive; slight sounds, movement and the like were what he was watching out for, but he couldn't detect anything.

Dropping his stance into a natural standing position and releasing his grip from his sword, he nodded to the nurse who began to locate various ingredients from the surrounding area, starting around the outer edges near the bushes. None of these plants Helios could recognize, but as soon as nurse Megume located one of them she knew exactly what she needed. The first plant she found was a dark violet color, a green stem with several white buds within the flower. Carefully she removed the petals from around the head, then took the buds and buried them in the soil, suggesting the buds were actually seeds. "You see, this is a Lavender plant. We use the oils in its petals to relieve pain and inflammatry effects." Despite the nurse's chatter, Helios wasn't interested, and instead fixated his gaze upon her and around her to make sure nothing could attack. After she had taken what she needed, she then wondered to another nearby tree, picking off small, pod-like yellow plants. "These are Eucalyptus. These are used in small quantities to be used as disinfectants. Kinda bring back memories, Helios."

Again it wasn't of interest to Helios. That was, until he mentioned his name. He glared at her, as though he was suppose to remember her from somewhere, and then finally questioned. "... How do you know my name? I haven't introduced myself. Do I know you?"

"You introduced yourself to me I think... 8 years ago? Yes, that sounds about right. I remember you with your mother, such a sweet woman she was. I remember you had a terrible scrape on your knee, and you were crying so hard. Ten when I put the medicine on your wound, you stopped crying and gave one of the sweetest and cutest smiles, and then you said "That smells pretty". Do you remember the scent?"

"... Lemon..." Helios thought about it for a moment, and noticed she was still collecting her ingredients. However, he wanted to know more now, about her, about what she was like. "So that was why you were smiling so much. You remembered me from those years ago.

"Well, who could forget your pale skin and bright white hair? You stick out like an icicle in Konoha, right?" she giggled and joked with Helios, who couldn't help but give a faint smile. Standing up, she walked over to the pale swordsman, basket in hand with the ingredients she needed. "Thanks for the assistance, bodyguard. It's about time we went back, right?" With helios nodding in agreement, both of them set off back to the village. Mission accomplished.
