It seemed that Makoto was assigned, yet again - another mission that he needed to complete. A mission was a specific objective that a shinobi needed to complete for his village, the more missions one has complete, the more respect and money the village earns. It's a huge system that honestly strained the mind of the Kagehebi. All he cared about was the exp ryo that he was earning from all of these missions; the more the merrier. And the more ryo he earned, the more it drew him closer to the weapon he wanted to retrieve - Twin Zaku, powerful air vents.

Weapons of destruction that could supply the shinobi greatly, but for now he just humbly continued with the multiple missions. He was standing a few meters away from the gates of Hi no Kuni, as he awaited for his shinobi companion to arrive. The two would be heading out to Tsuchi no Kuni to retrieve information about the location of the Village Hidden In Stone. A village that was known for their uses of the art of Doton.

Nonetheless, Makoto waited while stretching his arm back and forth to save him from boredom, “Where is this guy? Like fuck, I want to get on my way already, ninjas be lazy lately.” Cooing to himself, still waiting for something to happen or for someone to show up. But soon his mind drifted from his companion who was suppose to arrive, to something more serious and mind-boggling. What if they get attack by beasts or attacked by an army of ninjas? Rumors of a beast lurking outside the stone gates was passed around, soon finding its way to Makoto - causing him to truly ponder about the Stone Village.

Another day, another mission, such was the mindset of Genryu until the chuunin exams found themselves starting. Truth be told, despite having been excited to go just as he had been as a child, he was also embarrassed at having been 27 years of age still retaining the inferior village rank of genin. However, at first glance he could have been easily depicted as a failure among a great many shinobi, however, such was not the case, at least when one knew of Genryu's dark past. His choice to leave his home for eleven years in a selfless act to obtain power to protect the ones he loves, not only prevented him from climbing the latter of shiobi fame within konoha, but also left his relationships broken and fragile.

Nevertheless he was back, tailoring lose ends to not only his social life, but his loyalty to konoha. Despite having his family in his corner, the other vagabonding citizens of konoha questioned Genryu's return, his intentions, and even loyalty. As a man and a shinobi, he knew what he had to do and what needed to be done, these delegated missions were nothing more than simple stepping stones in reclaiming his reputation within his home he abandoned so long ago.

("Sigh. Alot of things have been going on these last few days, so many different things are happening at once, its almost hard to keep up. Guess after eleven years away from home that I'd forget how hard it was to keep social bonds healthy, guess I just need more time to patch things up. I was a fool to expect smiles and a few words to fix everything."")

Silently brooding upon the effects of his return home, the gates inwardly opened, causing a wall of light and the smell of fresh flora to rush onto him, coiling around his body to induce the most natural sense of both physical and spiritual freshness. It was as if Hi no kuni itself was excited and joyed to have its settlement graced by a man of Genryu's caste. However, his assembly line of thoughts was short live, for they had been interrupted by the presence of another, his partner? Yes it had to be, he seemed like he was waiting for someone, waiting for Genryu.

With his stark white hair, navy blue mask concealing the bottom half of his face, he approach the man from the south east, speaking to him as he continued walking off into the country, ready to head for Iwagakure.

"Hey, finally here, lets get moving padawan, we've got alot of ground to cover. Don't wanna waste anytime now do we?"

Naturally, the snake would be ready to leave as soon as his companion arrived, but something had changed that instinct from kicking in. When the man compared the great Makoto to a padawan - shit just got real. Auburn eyes glared directly at the white maned shinobi, showing no signs of companionship or kindness; pure rage was lingering within the dark hued pools. And soon enough, foul language would begin to exert from his lips and attempt to anger the Genin, whom in fact looked like he was in his thirties - giving Makoto even more of a reason to disrespect the man.

“Listen here you fuckin' relic ass, Dumbledore looking ass ninja - don't you dare call me a padawan again, in your life. You understand that? Okay, Dumbledore?” He referred to the man as Dumbledore due to the white mane he possessed, but his words weren't meant to hurt the man's feelings, but rather put him in his place. The Kagehebi did not take kindly to foolish remarks and people comparing him to things that were inferior in the eyes of the shinobi world. And though, he blew off steam by throwing jabs to the Genin - he still felt like something was missing.

He began to ponder carefully, wondering how old this ninja really was. “Yo, how old are you?” He asked, his eyebrow raising in question. Makoto couldn't help but feel a distance between the two, and not emotionally wise, but rather in age difference - which eventually leads to the difference in morals. For some reason, elders felt that they were more experience than everyone else, due to the fact of them being in the world longer than most. But that law didn't matter to this shinobi, as long as he was Chuunin and the other was Genin - they were forever be deemed inferior to him.

Eyes began to fully study the man, while ears waited patiently to hear a response about the question of age. If he didn't answer, Makoto would automatically assume this man was truly a relic, but if he did answer - then it would prove he was a pretty decent age, nor a relic of myth. But there was a reason why his pools fully study the male, and the reason was to make sure he didn't react violently to the smart remarks made preivously. Certain ninjas could brush off a jab or two, while others would go into a full frenzy and ready themselves to dismember you. Nonetheless, Makoto was ready for any action that would hence forth.

Teal eyes hid themselves behind closed lids as he marched on with a swift, adequate gait, advancing northeast one step after another. Despite having been absent from its essence and embrace for 11 years, he knew just about everything within Hi no kuni just as a pimp would his bitches. This enabled him to blindly walk, in the proper directions, knowing what to step over and what to prevent. This was clearly evident as he effectively sifted through the cobblestone road, swaying to the sides, dodging over-sized rocks, and overly long appendages of oaky that threatened to obstruct his path.

Silently, he basked in the tranquil, pervasive airs that Hi no kuni incessantly birthed, however, such rejuvenescent feelings came to a halt as his companion began to let loose a sequence of words that was truthfully quuite funny, so much so it caused Genryu himself to chuckle. He knew that word struck a nerve -direct hit- given that he was in fact his superior in rank. Truth be told he was entitled to react as such, and besides, Genryu always believed that a boring mission is also tedious mission that induces laziness which ultimately beckons for a increased potential in failure. Spicing things up wasn't so bad, was it?

"Ha ha, that was a pretty clever and facetious comeback. Plus one man. But if you must know, I'm 27, far from some old relic, dumbledore ass nigga. What about you Chuunin? How old are you?

Genryu's companions rank was already known, given that he was delegated the mission initially since Genryu himself was unauthorized to sign out for missions that exceed his rank even if he his experience guaranteed its success.

“Tsk,” the man's easy-going persona caused Makoto to feel rather uneasy, for he was not one who favored being ignored so simply. But instead of dwelling on the miniscule matter - he decided to focus on the main objective; the mission. He press forth down the stone road, whilst the two ninja began to conversant - so-to-speak. “27? Oh great, so you're a pedophile. Woopy~ and I'm old enough to be your nephew, thus meaning I'm 18. Doesn't mean I'm afraid to woop your ass, I hope you know.” He cooed back, a devious smirk soon forming as his lips curled.

Too be frank, he honestly just wanted to head to the land of Tsuchi no Kuni already, for he never been to another land before. And the fact that he was given the chance to, caused him to be in a rather good mood, showing no sign of control at all. This other bullshit, such as debating and arguing meant nothing to him truthfully. One would have to understand the life that this snake lived, to truly comprehend why he acts the way he do and why he is so hostile to others around him. He lacked the ability to forgive and trust -

An ability that one would need to truly be appreciated and recognized; the two things that Makoto craved the most. But how was someone like him, going to make it to the top? He neither knew or had a clue to do such, but rather on how to be hated on the most. Makoto's rash behavior had cause him to have many physical fights with others and even threats to come his way - due to his irresponsible ways. Though he wanted attention, the attention he was receiving was not what he had in mind.

As the duo pressed forward, the cobblestone merely vanished? swapping presence with a sea of undergrowth as the two slued away from its original path, heading for the border of Hi no kuni that ultimately granted access to Tsuchi no kuni, and finally Iwagakure. But sadly enough, Genryu knew that they would have to eventually search for the villages gates, which was quite tedious given that he had done it once before, but without the aid of a map of its location. However, this time was different, not only would he reacquaint himself with its soils, but he'd also retain knowledge of its location for both his own interest, and Konoha's.

("Heh, this guy is pretty funny, but i've been through this phase of youth. His cry for attention is pretty cute, adorable maybe, but I can tell he's strong and has much potential. His aggressiveness might come in handy as well, enough so maybe to even counteract my calm and collected battle prowess.")

Genryu's stark white hair resplendently swayed to and fro the moment his head backwardly careened, beckoning forth a long yawn as the mindless pull of rising winds rushed onto his form along with the entire area itself. Though it was a humid wind which hinted away at the shit in climates that was shortly about to take place as they neared Hi no Kuni's border with each passing minute. Silence permeated the two, leaving only the sound of shifting, emerald blades that laid beneath a pair of footfalls to reach their ears. Fortunately the better moment of pure silence ended the chuunin spoke once more, attacking Genryu's age. He smiled and his shoulders wavered laughter, and then he spoke.

"27 and pedophile eh? better be lucky your eighteen or else you ass would be torn and sore by now."

Despite having been joking, he cut a quick, backwards glance over hsi shoulder, glancing over his form like a jail veteran would fresh meat. He knew not if it would strike a nerve, but for humors sake, it was worth a try.

The white manned male's last comment had left Makoto rather mindfucked, for the kagehebi wasn't expecting such a comeback to surface. The statement was rather unpleasant, disgusting, and just plain wrong - leading to the shinobi to have multiple x-rated thoughts running through his mind. He didn't know whether to just runaway from the elder or to just keep his distance, but he did know one thing - if this man dared to try anything shady at all, things would become rather gruesome in an instant.

Needless to say, the two continued to hence forth on their journey to Tsuchi no Kuni. This was not an easy feat though, traveling all the way from Hi no Kuno to Tsuchi no Kuni, took the two a few amount of days actually. And having to sleep with one eye opened, praying that this pedophile would not tear another hole in your ass was rather mind-boggling. Makoto had spent days upon days - not getting any good sleep at all, due to the amount of crap that ran through his mind.

But though he had multiple sleepless nights, finally making it to Tsuchi no Kuni had made it all worth it. The country was everything that they had made it seem to be in the books, mass rocks, small rocks, and even more rocks that were shaped by mother earth. Auburn pools glowing with excitement, as they juggled to keep up with the many landscapes that was found in the land. “I must say, this is rather intense in a sense.” He muttered softly, trying to act as if being in the foreign land did not faze him in the slightest.

As they pressed forth down the rocky land, Makoto would raise his hand - indicating to halt. “Alright, since we're here - we need to and must find a way to get to the gates of the Hidden Stone Village. This will not be a easy task at all, due to the fact of having to climb all these mountains and searching aimlessly for the gates.” His tone was much more serious than ever, proving that he in fact was not kidding around and felt the two needed to plot together to find out what to do.

It undoubtedly taken them several days to reach Tsuchi no kuni, and to merely get closer to where they assumed the direction of their hidden gates would be. During this entire escapade, Genryu laughed internally, within the safety of his own mind as his younger, but 'superior' counterpart seemed vexed and unable to full relax himself. He seemed to have been unable to even rest, even as the ethereal hands of fatigue grabbed hold of his body, Genryu was utterly surprised and amazed how his witty comeback sunk deep into the young man's mind.

("Heh, surprising that - that comment got him to shut up for a couple of days, I guess thats just when keepin' it real goes wrong. Serves him right.")

Finally having his fill of fun with his younger of the two, it was time to get serious as they crossed over onto the threshold to another land, a land of atrocious heat and pervasive rock, truly the quintessence of "mother earth". A quick, annoying sigh emanated from Genryu's lungs, hinting away at the impending, tedious task of searching for said gates. He knew that attempting to pass through Tsuchi no kuni's seemingly unending column of mountains was not an impossible, but one that demanded ones utmost patience and focus. Truthfully that was with all villages gates, however, today, Genryu felt lucky some how.

"Hm, intense you say? I've been here before, nothing special. And unfortunately at the time I was young and brimming with excitement just as you are, but that only lead me to search for the village foolhardily without a world map to track its location. Didn't think for a second that i'd revisit this place back then.

His tone was calm, carrying a high sense of gentility and nobility, the very tone that perfectly laid in resonance with his affluent nature. His arms folded and tapped his chin as he came to an abrupt halt as if to mirror the 'thinking man' statue.

I remember the direction, however, the path itself is still quite blurry, I hadn't expected to remember even after 8 years? Sigh. so anno-

His breath was captured by the presence of another, namely in the form of a snapping twig behind a tree to his far east, 10 meters away. Standing at a side view with his stance unfaltering, his attention whipped in said direction demanding an audience with whomever it could have been.

It was the only word that ran through my head as I attempted to sneak around these trees after having heared the voices of foreign shinobi whilst getting a quick glance over their hitai-ate. Judging from the headbands, I had ascertained that they hailed from the hidden leaf, and adding insult to injury their levels of perception were on key. I was caught, not much I could have done from there except reveal myself. I wasn't scared if thats what you were thinking despite having the odds against me. I feared no one! Quickly I stepped forth from the tree, emerging like wraith from shadows, standing with ninjato at my side. I looked into the eyes of the first(Toru) and then into the masked mans(C0), I had to question them and fast, these could have very well been hostiles so I was definitely on my guard and alert.

"What could two leaf shinobi possibly be doing here? I suggest you turn back unless you want problems."

Makoto quickly took the defensive as his fellow shinobi stopped his sentence to look east, causing the kagehebi to turn his body in the same direction. Luck must truly have been on their sides, because it seemed the intruder was no other than a Stone shinobi; what were the odds? Obviously high, simply for the fact that a living breeding ninja of the village they were searching for, was right before their eyes. “I'm going to show you how it's done bitch, cause your old ass probably can't keep up.”

A simple push of chakra to the legs, would allow him to be before the enemy; via Shunshin¹. His movements swift, yet precise. “Y'know, today is going to be the last day you see daylight, just sayian bro. ” The Leaf shinobi did not fear for any sudden attack by the enemy - he was well prepared for that - his defense waiting to be tested². But no mercy was truly shown in the battle, a quick jab motion³ allowed a single snake to exit the sleeves of the humanoid-snake. The single snake would quickly strike, aiming to bit the enemy in his neck - greatly allowing the black poison to seep through his veins, causing his entire body to be unresponsive; if the attack had connected.

The movements were done so quickly, without the need of seals, allowing an open chance of strike against the Iwagakure ninja. If the strike did not connect, then Makoto would be prepared to take matters to the next level; he was not one that set on failure. “Hey, pedophile - I think I have a youngin' you would like to rape!” He yelled cheerfully, his distance being ten meters apart from his comrade.

And so there it was. Genryu's eyes seemingly bled, pouring forth geysers of crimson into his eyes with three of the six paths revealing themselves deep within his eyes. He watched the being step forth from the shadow like a dark knight aimlessly lingering without motive. With a ninjato wrapped within the mans hand, Genryu knew he could have very well been hostile, but given that this was indeed his home and not theirs, it was to be expected of him to be defensive, and thus Genryu would not bite down upon his bait to attack. Why would he have attacked, his mind was mature and would not give in or be provoked by schoolyard threats. But it seemed like his counterpart lacked such tolerance.

Quickly he glance to the side as he spoke, watching his body tense, readying to take off in a moments notice - foolish. He knew that he was only 18 and undoubtedly young, but to give in into such childish words was disappointing. The muscles and intangible energies within his legs churned and thrummed with power which only beckoned forth an ethereal image of him bolting forward before the physical action itself was committed. However, once he finally moved he'd have found himself unable to advance, for Genryu's hand reached out, curling his fingers about the boys shirt(left shoulder). He pulled away as to jerk him backwardly with the strength of a taijutsu enthusiast, halting and preventing any hostile actions he had in mind. Furiously holding him in place without faltering an inch in reserve, he spoke with a gruff, cold tone.

"The hell were you thinking?! We're not here to start any trouble, we were sent here upon the hokage's behalf to form an alliance, nothing more. Control yourself damnit!"

Though his words were nothing more than a clever ruse concocted in a matter of seconds, his words still held truth within them. They had not been sent to Tsuchi no kuni to initiate combat, Iwagakure shinobi were neither allies nor enemies. Nevertheless, Genryu's gaze momentarily shifted back to the iwagakure shinobi afront, glancing over his figure in a form of energy particles that incessantly swirled and flowed within his body.

"Listen, we're not here to fight, we simple want Iwagakure's location so the hokage may pay your kage a visit, and offer a potential alliance. If you feel uneasy, I'm sure 3k Ryo would change your mind."

Sharingan III

These two seemed to come in peace, well, at least one of them from what I had gathered. The leader of the two -or who I assumed to held back his ally as my eyes met with his own, glaring deep into his sanguine hued eyes. This man bore the famed mark of the Uchiha - The sharingan. Never before had I seen it in person and so close from the alleged power it held onto for some many generations. My stance faltered none, refusing to move even if these two were potentially hostile, it only alerted my senses further, casuging my hand to reflexively tighten its grip upon the hilt of my trusty ninjato. My yellow maned hair rocked back and forth as a gust of wind rushed onto the area from behind me, pushing the loose ends of my clothing to my front as the 'leader' spoke out to me, offering me a deal.

My free hand uplifted to stroke my chin, silently mulling it over, and as I thought about it, Iwagakure was in shambles and village income was at an all time low, which ultimately meant my salary was low as well, so it was certain that i could benefit from such an offer.

"Hmm sounds like a deal, but first, hand over the money, I dont want you trying anything slick...now, just follow me."

I knew the man would pay me what he offered, unless he wished stay here and search for Iwagakure on his own, but nevertheless I turned around and took the lead, well on m way home.

As Makoto ready himself to dash forward and strike - he was truly surprised by the unknown force that had prevented him from going forth. Eyes quickly darted to the source, which was to the left of him, revealing that it was no other than his companion. Words soon follow after, which caused the kagehebi to relax himself and stay calm, for now. “Whatever, get the fuck off me. Swear you the shit, fuckin Roushi ass.” He honestly was embarrassed, by the fact he was pulled back so easily -

But that feeling soon washed away, for things were about to get interesting. It seemed that Genryu was going to pay the Iwagakure shinobi three thousand ryo, just for the location of the village. And the Stone shinobi easily agreed, proving that he was rather an idiot at best. A true ninja that held regards for his/her homeland, would never give away the village location so easily, but maybe this guy was different - maybe ryo was more important than his village. Too be frank, Makoto didn't care -

In the end he was completing the mission, which meant a whole lot more to him. “What if this bitch tricks us? And we get ambushed?” He cooed softly to his teammate, hoping his words had reached him. A shinobi needed to be carefully, especially with foreigners who would want to rob you for your weaponry and ryo - two things Makoto would not easily give up. They needed to be on the defense at all times, without making seem like they were. But nonetheless, he followed suit.

The boy was indeed hasty and anxious to spill the blood of someone outside of our homeland, to -in a sense- cleanse the soul with the blood of another was a wicked, yet, satisfying feeling that all shinobi's held. Genryu could not fault him for this, as he himself was the same way during his own visit eight years ago, it was as if he was watching memories of himself unfold in material form right before his crimson tainted pools - Odd. Nevertheless, Genryu processed the Iwagakure's shinobi's words, refusing to allowed even a single vowel to go unheeded.

They young lad, demanded Genryu relinquish his mighty grip from the fabrics of his clothing, and having nothing but respect for his comrades despite their 'docile' hostility, he extended enough respect as fellow human and removed his hand to his side. When it came down to it Genryu always held his comrades best interest at heart, willing to protect them from not only physical harm, but political harm, and even emotional, it mattered none to him. Quickly, as the Iwagakure shinobi pivoted upon his heels to turn about face and began to fade swiftly mountainous ravines, Genryu followed suit with long, quick strides, just enough to maintain a safe 10 meter distance to trail the ninja.

"I really doubt he'd be foolish enough to take us both on at once. Judging from the looks within his eyes, he knows of Uchiha and seems to fearful to attempt any reckless actions. However, should the possibility step onto the threshold of reality, then we simply deal with it."

Divulging his inferences to his younger companion, Genryu's hands dove deep into the depths of his pockets as his flow of chakra came to a sudden calm, allowing his crimson pools to instantly fall back into their previous, dormant state.
