Faltering bonds [Keith]

Having escaped that hellish environment that was Bakudon Gai via earth decapitation, his survival was ensured, however, his body had not been in full heath, all thanks to the wound inflicted upon his leg by Kirigakure dogs. A tremor of earth settled in just outside of bakudon gai, away from kirigakure's forces as a hole soon formed with Ue climbing out of it. His face contorted in pain as he used every ounce of body strength to uplift himself to the surface given that his left leg was damn near unusable. Trickles of blood continued to flow from his wound, he needed to treat it, and fast! After finally having gotten his entire body out, he seated himself upon the earthen floor while concurrently ripping the fabrics of his shirt to wrap around the wound as a makeshift bandage.

("Grrraah! Damnit that hurts, but I can't stop now, I've got to ignore the pain and keep moving.")

After allowing ample time for the pain in his leg to die down, he slowly but surely raised himself to his feet albeit being a obvious limp. His heart still pounded as adrenaline continued to course heavily through his deepest veins, which induced mental images of his friends final moments. Truth be told he knew not what truly happened to Bit, how could he, he didn't stay long enough to find out the details. Of course once he sobers up from his adrenaline rush, he would undoubtedly question his actions as not only a shinobi, but as Bits friend and a human being.

("Damnit! You know I had no other choice. . .No, I did what I had to do. It was a tight situation and I took action to ensure the best possible outcome. ")

As he spoke to himself, his faltered strides would begin, heading for home - Konohagakure. He hadn't known how he was going to report all of this to the Hokage, but quite frankly he really didn't want to.

("WHAT THE FUCK, UE?!")

The voice of the young shinobi had echoed out the area, it was like a thunderous roar which had been cried out from the heavens, and had been prepared to release a mighty bolt of lightning. And, that almighty bolt would undoubtedly strike down Ue. The young boy was able to track down Ue thanks to his Kagura technique, and followed him all the way up to the point where he emerged from out of the ground. Obviously he was some meters behind him, though, since his technique was surely faster than the boy could run. When he popped out, that's when the boy had shouted out to him, to draw in his attention and to possibly make him think more about the decision he had made. He was easily able to catch up with Ue now, since he was limping upon his way, not being able to get far. As he had closed in, the young thirteen year-old eyes began to fill up with tears. The horrible things that he had seen today would scar him forever. He saw his comrade die in front of him, but not only a comrade, but a friend.

Uchiha Bit was the one who had taken the young boy on his first mission together, and he was the first real shinobi that he had gotten close to. But, now he was gone. He had gotten seriously injured in battle, and then Ue, the one that he had hardly known had sacrificed him to the enemy so that he could escape. ("ARRGGHHH! LOOK AT ME!! YOU KILLED HIM!!") His emotions had ran wildly, seeming as he would be unable to cope with the lost of his good friend. He really just wanted to go home, this was too much for the little boy to handle, his parents were probably worrying about him like crazy, since they had forbidden him to even go. He could have died out there, and if he had been out their any sooner, he might been sacrificed by Ue as well. Or rather that is how he feld.

("How could you do that to him...?") His tears had ran down his cheeks like a strong flowing stream. And, though he was mad at Ue, and probably hated him, he couldn't just leave him like he was, they both had to get back to the village. So, he could at least help him along the way, by being his support. ("Let me..help you...")

A quick voice called out to Ue, one that beseemed a young male that brimmed with insurmountable anger. His impeded stride faltered not even an inch in reserve, continuing with the same gait as he cut a quick glance over his shoulder from the approaching leaf shinobi. Isshin? Yeah, he was sure of it, given his headband and attire. After a few seconds he managed to catch up, juxtaposing himself to Ue as he demanded his attention. Granted, Ue shifted his attention to Isshin momentarily, meeting his angered gaze with his own.

"ARRGGHHH! LOOK AT ME!! YOU KILLED HIM!!"

A sense of guilt with the weight of the world sat at the pit of his stomach the moment those words breached his ears. True, he hardly knew Bit, and Bit hardly knew him, but Ue knew that this was all justified. They were fighting a war that wasn't even theirs to begin with, and in that process things got relatively real, so much so that lives were in danger. And in moments where a split second could determine whether or not one lives or dies, hard decisions had to be made, and using Bit was nothing more than Ue's own decision to ensure his own survival. Any seasoned ninja knew it would be foolish to allow both parties to perish, when one could return home and gather their own force and exact revenge on the aggressors.

"How could you do that to him...?"

". . .I had no choice, I wouldn't have made sense for both of us to die. At least now I can let the Hokage know about this massacre and gather our strength to rebel these dogs. An invasion of that caliber was masterfully planned, so I doubt they will come to us in due time. "

His riposte to Isshin's inquiring about his actions was adequate, yet, blunt. Finally, accepting Isshin's offering of support, the two were well on their was home, back to Hi no kuni to regather their strength and report this dark day as a warning to a potential impending attack on leaf.

("I understand, Ue...I just don't like the outcome..") He said as he moved to the side of Ue's injured leg, wrapping his arm over his shoulder so he could act as a human clutch of sorts. They had to make it back to Konohagakure, safely and quickly. The Hokage had to know about what had went down in Iwagakure. The destruction and hate that it had created, and will most likely bring in the future. Those kind of things are what created hatred within the shinobi world. But, even deeper than that, is what probably created shinobi itself.

All people are thieves, they take from one another to fill their own desires until their satisfied. One you take something, for a good intention or a bad one, you steal it from someone else. Meaning that one person won't get something. That is what the shinobi had done to the samurai, but, maybe the samurai had done it to the people before they had became shinobi. This world feeds off of hate, and cannot live without it. The young boy had greatly understood, this but he couldn't do anything about it, really. Being so young and innocent.

He couldn't be the savior of the world, even if he had tried. All he could do was wish and hope that someone would one day stand up to this darkness and hatred in the world, and end it all. He couldn't help but put all of this hope and faith into anyone but one person, the Hokage. ("Please..save us all...") He said lowly and almost inaudibly, though, Ue could probably still hear him. Tears continuing to run down his face as they marched on.
