Beneath my redish brown hues, a great source of power began to well up. Veins along my temple bulging as the nerves sought to link my enhanced sensory to my brain. This was the power of Konohagakure's noble clan, Byakugan. How in the world did a commoner of Kumogakure come to obtain such? Well it all started fifteen years ago. The war was heating up and people were either backing their established village or abandoning it. My mother Hina-chan had fallen in love with a foreigner and considering the five great nations were going to war, if she wanted to be apart of his life, she was going to need to leave. Leave where? Hi no Kuni, her home and the place where her family lived.
She left them all behind for this man, following his whims, yet she won't even tell me who he is! My father, I don't know him and as my legs quickly sprint across Kaminari no kuni, the frustration of this fact only fuels my energy. Namitsuki's direction was in my sight and for now I'd travel a very safe distance behind them. Judging by their direction, it was safe to assume they were heading to...oh god, Hi no Kuni. "I really, really hate going to the Fire Country, ugh but I said I'd check in on him, so I'll go." a frown plastered my face before I kicked my own run into high gear.
I'd be taking to the trees, well the sparse dense woodlands that this nation contained. Honestly, this was place was mostly mountains. I had a long hike just getting to our village and having RAN back down and out towards the borders, I'd kill Namitsuki-san myself for this. Well I digress, I really wouldn't but I was certainly annoyed. Did I mention that this beloved nation of mines always seemed to have bad weather? Well perhaps it was because I left a bit later than Nami but I could see some lightning brewing in the sky. It was behind me now, 30 meters or so but it signalled that I was approaching the borders.
If I wanted to get to Fire quicker, I'd need to detour a bit. Snaking my way through some minor nations all the while staying on the off-road route. For some reason, Nami and as I learned with my doujutsu, his partner; were traveling a public route? What were they not supposed to be guised normally? Considering my own appearance, I certainly didn't look like a ninja anyway. Just to be safe though, I reached my hand behind me, untying my kumogakure headband, placed it securely in my pouch, which was well masked by my apron and continued on my merry way.
Oh they also seemed to have radios, well I did too so I figured when I caught up, I'd match frequency with them.
