Mapping the Village!

Life Cycle: Once per PC!
Description: After the war, many parts of what used to be traditional Konohagakure has been wiped out. However, in its place, new lands have been plotted deep within the mystic forests of Hi no Kuni, allowing for hope of a new life to remain within the survivors. Now, it is time to claim these lands correctly!
Objectives: Aid the village plotters in establishing the basic cardinal points of the village, and some general geography regarding the region.
Rewards: 20 EXP / 500 Ryo

He left the village gates, looking around for his clients. The day was just about mid way through, so it would probably be nightfall by the time they finished with their adventure. Even more so if Tensa couldn't even find his clients. He threw his hands to his hips looking around, wondering where they were.

Something suddenly caught his ears. The click of some sort of machine. Tensa turned around to see two oddly dressed men, with cheap button up shirts and suspenders on. One of them wore crazy glasses that looked like something from a scientist's lab. The other, a tall, slender man, with a mustache that stretched out far off of his face. The other pair were taking pictures of the village gates and the people around it. Tensa rushed over to them, sensing that it was bad idea to be taking photos of the village and it's outer contents for foreign shinobi to see.

"Hey!," he called out as he neared them. The one taking the pictures ceased his movements as he was caught in the act. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Just mapping out the area for our map. That's all. Gotta update them thanks to the whole disaster with a demon or something? I don't know what happened." The slender man's voice didn't fit his body at all. It was rather deep and sounded foreign. Tensa raised an eyebrow as he spoke.

"Might you be my clients?" The two looked at each other, then at Tensa.

"Are you our shinobi?"

"Indeed. Hyuuga, Tensa, at your service."

"Ahhhh, splendid. I'm Han. My partner here is Dan," he pointed over to the photographer, whom seemed to have no said anything the whole time, and looked like he had no intentions to. He simply had a silly grin on his face. He suddenly raised the camera without warning and snapped a picture of Tensa. The blinding flash turned Tensa's sight to nothing but white. He closed his eyes tightly, holding his hands to them, gritting his teeth from the sudden attack. "Hoho. My companion doesn't talk much. Just takes pictures." A bit angered Tensa spoke up.

"Could he please not do it again? Now if you don't mind," he rubbed his eyes, blinking swiftly, attempting to reclaim his sight. "Could we possibly move on with our task?"

"Certainly!," Han clapped his hands together, excited for their adventure. "Let us be off."

The trio ventured out into the wilds of Hi no Kuni. Their travels would take them into the large thick forest of Konoha. It was an amazement that it still stood the way it did after the war had taken place. The weather inside the thicket of trees was something far more vicious than it was in the village. The moist and lush green grass around the forest made the air very thick. It could have very well be cut with a blade.

Han and Dan complained the whole way, about the heat and muck they found on their ground. Tensa didn't really listen to them as they complained about their expensive shoes and deadly heat. Han complained, at least. Dan simply continued to silently take pictures. He caught excellent shots of the Hi no Kuni trees and their wildlife that surged through them.

The ever silent Hyuuga continued on his mission, aiding the plotters in mapping out the land before them. Eventually Tensa's ears picked up what sounded like rushing water. The aimless walk that seemed to take forever would finally have a destination, as he was curious to see where the rushing water was coming from. The landscape changed much since he had traveled it before. He didn't remember any levies or rivers near here, but it was worth the search.

"I think something interesting is this way."

The group ventured forth. Tensa attempted to aid the men in speeding their pace. However they proved time and time again that they weren't made for traveling, or any sort of physical labor, as they tripped over their own feet occasionally from a path that wasn't paved and man made. They would also get attacked by falling fruits from trees and even were startled by creatures that lived within the area. Two grown men scared of squirrels, birds, and snakes. It was an interesting site to see. Tensa was only use to those whom lived among the shinobi world. The people who appeared to have shown no fear.

The trio eventually came to their destination. It was found within a shinning bright light at the end of what looked like a paved path for the men. It was like being in a dark tunnel and they were at the end, viewing the light that would allow them to escape. Once engulfed in the sun's might rays, their eyes would view upon a beautiful, damaged earth. A river was flowing from their right and their left, falling down a waterfall. The waterfall stretched out wide before them. About a decent 20 or so meters. On the sides of the waterfall it looked like the earth was smashed in by some massive force. Instead of falling straight down, it went down a hill like structure, falling into an even deeper hole in the ground.

"Amazing. Outstanding. Astonishing!" Han and Dan both looked on with amazement as they view the beautiful structure. Around the bottom of the fall some rocks had positioned itself around the edge of the rushing water, allowing for the water to sit. It was practically a pool. The earth soaked up the rushing river. The cooling waters made the air feel less stagnant.

"Yeah. It is certainly impressive." Tensa added in.

"Thank you, young man. We can take it from here." Tensa looked to them with a cocked eyebrow.

"You no longer need my assistance? Will you be ok on your way back?"

"No, no. We wish not to keep you. We could be hours. Maybe even a day or two accurately mapping this and the area around." Tensa wondered if he should leave them alone in the country or not. They were a bit of an annoyance to him so he figured that their word was good enough. He began heading back to the village, where he would turn in his mission and call it a day.
