A test surely fitted only for those willing to undergo the roughest and most severe conditions. The test of a hunter was surely no easy task at all. Uchiha Fumito would find himself paired with a jounin of higher caliber, Aburame Reisuke. Although not the most equal of counterparts they would both find themselves fighting against the elements surrounding the forest of trials. Inside these concaved walls sitting high at a height of one hundred meters reigned an eternal forest full of endangered animals said to have surpassed even their ancestors.

The two shinobi of leaf would find themselves standing before the darkened pathway in front of what was to be, their proctor, Hyuuga Ichimo. “Hello and welcome to your first test. You both will be given a set of instructions unknown to the other party – you must fulfill these instructions by any means necessary. After having completed these instructions you will find your way to the center of a forest where a blue obelisk stands. . .”A blank emotion staring firmly from the facial features procuring from the HYUUGA would alert the two shinobi that this test was indeed, serious business.

He had seen genin prevail over the master jounin in these exams and so it was without a shadow of a doubt, to him, that this test would prove worthwhile for the two. “It is here at this obelisk where you will meet with me again – and only then will we proceed to the next test..” he’d say folding down the scroll he had been reading from. From behind him he would pull out two similar looking scrolls of his own. One of each would go to the two – giving them their instruction. As they unraveled the scrolls the timer would begin. .

• Collect blood from the Orochi Bunta.
  
• After collecting this blood obtain a feather from a hawk.
  
• After obtaining the feather from the hawk – return to the obelisk. Drop the blood of the Orochi Bunta onto the ground around the blue stone and allow the feather to slowly drop near the ground of the obelisk.

• Collect fur from two wolves of different nature. Black and grey.
  
• After obtaining the fur from the wolves knit them together with your own hair.
  
• After having knitted the two furs of the wolves together – return to the obelisk and throw these furs on top of the obelisk – then wait.
  

Their instructions were simple. The doorway into the forest of trials would creek open slowly as you read these instructions. From first glance – a slimy mucus would become evident in a trail after both of you have travelled ten meters inside of the forest. Aside from this mucus black hairs could be seen trailing off in an opposite direction – possibly having come off of the fur from an unknown species.

[/b] The words slipped past pale lips as a sigh. If he could, the Uchiha would be taking this test alone, but it seemed he was paired with Reisuke Aburame a Chunnin he knew very little about. What Fumito did know was he had a uncanny connection to bugs, something that just disgusted fumito. Nonetheless, it seemed that the Uchiha was going to working with this stranger today, hopefully he wouldn't become to much of a bother for the young Uchiha.

With slow, fluid movements, a hand reached to his side gripping his katana which he carried with him, along with his guard, ninja-string, and exploding notes. He wasn't entirely sure what he'd be tested on, but he was ready for anything. Before his arrival to the test, Fumito had taken special time out to fill his guard with his entire collection of exploding notes, if there was one thing he liked it was explosions.

“It is here at this obelisk where you will meet with me again – and only then will we proceed to the next test..”

Grabbing the scroll from the Hyuuga he was off. It seemed he would be doing some hunting after all, maybe not the type he wanted, but animals bled like humans so he was sure to get some kind of show. However, as Fumito entered the forest he couldn't help but see a trail of mucus. The sticky liquid was covered in what seemed to be hair, it was obviously a animal of some kind. With little to nothing to go on Fumito began to follow the trail in the hopes it would bring him closer to his... prize.

Despite money being the root of all evil, Reisuke wanted…no, he needed it. His main reason for embarking on this journey and taking this test is to get paid. Not by completing the task, but through obtaining the position that finishing the task granted. If Reisuke managed to complete this trial, he would be able to become an Oinin. And once that happened, he’d be able to obtain the bounties of those he killed. For him, killing was the least of his worries. He knew that it had to be done if he ever wanted to pay a blacksmith to fix his weapon. And he wouldn’t let anything stop him from completing that task.

As Reisuke stood listening to Ichimo, he couldn’t help but think about the rain fall, which had escaped from the clouds, hitting his head. This would definitely cause his beautiful red hair to frizz, and just that was enough to take his attention away from the task at hand. Because of this, he didn’t completely hear what Ichimo said. Now he would have to complete this test without knowledge as to what he had to do. But it didn’t matter to him, as the contents for what he needed to do would be in the scroll Ichimo handed him. And Reisuke wasn’t alone. He’d glance over it his partner, and, not knowing the guy, would simply smirk.

“Hmph,” he’d say; that being his response to everything the two individuals before him had said. After taking his scroll, he’d mimic the actions of his partner, and head out. Of course, he expected them to go two different ways after they reached a checkpoint, but that didn’t matter either. Whether alone or with somebody, Reisuke would do whatever it takes to complete this task. Glancing down at the hair covered mucus; he’d shake his head, before looking forward once more, and continuing his onward sprint.

UCHIHA FUMITO

Following a mucus trail wasn’t the highlight of anyone’s day – especially that of a hunter ninja. The trail of mucus would seem to thicken as he followed its trial through the broken paths of trees and bush in such of the orochi bunta. Rain only made heat-waves travel swiftly for the snake, whom’s eyes hadn’t stopped scanning along the genin’s heat scan. It’s tongue edging out licking the air to taste of his flesh through the moistened rain would excite the beast to no end as he awaited patiently for the boy to find him.

The stench of rotten carcasses fills your lungs as you edge nearer to a hidden path leading into a cave. Whether this cave or not held the monster he was looking for was common sense to even the most feeble minded of ninja – but what he chose to do of finding the whereabouts of the snake was purely his choice alone. Though the task seemed simple enough from the start the uchiha would find his eyes widening to the sight unfolding before him as the orochi bunta’s head made its way out of the cavernous cave.

Standing at a height of twenty meters in length and five in overall width of his body the uchiha was now faced with a quarrel. Along the ground would be some empty flasks scattered among the ground with carcasses of the failures who had attempted at obtaining the blood. Turn back now if you value your life…or attempt to obtain the blood if you so wish to tempt your own fate.


ABURAME REISUKE

Around your body the kikai danced in heavy numbers as the natural inclination to danger. They knew better than he what dangers he was going to face in the near future yet still they remained quiet for they knew nothing of the truth. You find yourself staring heavily at the ground chasing what looks to be like fallen wolf hair off of its darkened fur. You come to a fork in the road, left and right, with no true definition at any position as to what lied down each road foreshadowing your own personal battles.

The smell of wet dog would come apparent within the whims of your senses as you trek your chosen path further following in the footsteps of the conquerors and failures of the exam. You could see the indentations in few of the footprints that not everyone was as courageous as you to to have continued along the same path that you did. . and for some odd reason the feeling of being watched would come apparent to you as the hairs along your back jousted outwards in reaction to the present auras around you.

A heavy growl would become apparent from your rear as the wolf leered you down from atop a tree. It would become apparent – by the sign of the hairs along the road – that the fur was falling off due to the wolf being to such a high altitude. Take this growl as warning shinobi and turn back and leave before its too late.. or choose to dance with the devil in the next sequence of events.

"Fuck," he muttered under his breath as he continued down the path. The rain continued its downpour as the Uchiha searched the forest. Now what he was searching for was the king of the reptiles, the orochi bunta. A rather big snake, it was by far the most dangerous in the country, big enough to swallow a average size male whole. Hunting a animal of such stature was amusing to the shinobi, it was almost exciting. 

Looking towards the sky he continued down the trail. The shinobi couldn't help but feel that he was being followed, being stalked. Ever since he and his 'partner' had began their separate task he couldn't help but feel the presence of someone or something else. This uneasiness reached its peek at the mouth of a small but steep cave. The mucus and hair were in large abundance, whatever had been eaten was long gone. It seemed that he was getting closer to his prey. And then it happened, as he examined the mucus Fumito caught a glimpse at his objective. The snake was large,

The snakes was about twenty meters in length large enough to wrap it's self around the shinobi. Fumito was more than excited now, he had found his prey. Around twenty meters away from the beast, the shinobi jet black spiraled into a bloodshot red as he gripped his katana that rested at his side. He was ready whenever the snake was, he'd be damn he let a snake stop him from achieving his goal.

Fear was the least of his worries in his conquest for power. It didn’t matter if his opponent was a human or an animal, he would kill it. There wasn’t a slight of remorse in his heart and even he knew that the only way to prove it would be through his actions. Today, his opponent had been a wolf, and not one, but two. Reisuke had found their furs along a path and assumed that they were the ones he would be killing. Their howl could be heard miles away, but Reisuke wouldn’t tremble. Instead, he’d head for where he heard the sound from. If he wanted to complete his task, he’d have to first find where his opponent was. But it wouldn’t take long, as the wolf that he made the growl was on top a tree. Looking up, Reisuke would smile at his intended foe. “C’mon!” he proclaimed, pointing at the wolf. He wanted it to come to him. It would save him the hassle of going to it.

UCHIHA FUMITO

A hiss would echo from the bowels of the unending pipeline which was the snakes throat. It’s stomach ached in pain from hunger. The orochi bunta was tired of feeding on helpless animals and it wanted something much more satisfying. A shinobi of leaf was definitely the perfect treat, if any, for the blood thirsty reptile. The back of its tail would coil in an ‘S’ shape as its eyelids bent lower, focusing in on his prey ready to strike at any moment. The snake had scales like a dragon – and would take more than mere metal to tear through the skin – but that would be something the uchiha would learn the hard way.

In but the time it took for one to blink their eyes the snake would have opened its mouth revealing the large serpentine fangs outstretching as it lunged forward in attempts at swallowing the boy whole. It would take all but three seconds for the head of the snake to have engulfed the entire body of the uchiha if he was not careful – he would truly have to tap into his inner hunter instinct to react to such an attack... so tread swiftly and think hastily, young uchiha, for your battle has only just begun.



ABURAME REISUKE

Although your focus had only remained on one of the beasts it was time for you to acknowledge that fear was now the least of your worries. The growl didn’t startle you – but it at least alerted you of the nearby danger approaching. One thing you would fail to notice as you turned, pivoting to turn to the wolf that was positioned behind you atop a tree was that this had been their tactic all along. Slowly stepping from behind you, now that you had turned, a grey wolf approaches making sure to keep silent.

The one to your front, smirking deviously with drool hanging from his maw, pounces eagerly awaiting to taste your flesh. As he pounces, however, the second wolf (grey) would do so as well. Both are ten meters apart from you but they are large enough in size to clear the distance in one fell swoop. If it is your destiny to live – then kill and obtain the furs from these wolves. . or become a late night snack.

He knew that his job was to only get the blood of the snake, but fuck that he was going to decapitate the fucker. Besides, how was the Hyuuga going to know if he killed the snake or not, nor that it should really matter anyways. He knew better to challenge authority openly, but behind closed doors it was a entirely different story.

He shouted as the large reptile began its assault. This would have a simple counterattack though, the snake was way in over its head. As the snake hurled itself, the young Uchiha quickly unshielded his blade defending against the snakes oncoming attack. He would have to do better than that if he wanted to harm the Uchiha.
