Rebuilding The Village [C Rank Mission]

The short blue haired Aburame walked forward in a brown outfit with a scroll on his back. What that scroll had did it matter? No it did not and in short neither did his caution. He was nervous, and excited all at once to take part in his first mission ever and not only that it was a C rank mission. He felt kind of special as most genin began with D-Rank mission but even so this missions was still going to be somewhat challenging. Yuuto's mind wandered as he waited in the town square for his team member. The boy would hopefully show up soon and then they could begin the process of this mission. It was simple clean up and help rebuild the village right? The game plan in Yuuto's head was to search the area for anything damaged and ask people if they need help rebuilding. It was going to be a piece of cake and an easy way to begin his career as a ninja.

[Kii!]

"Yo!" I called out, noticing my blue-haired partner in the distance and waving frantically as I approached. A wide grin was plastered upon my face, and as I came nearer to the boy it did not fade. Finally, at a spot next to him, I stopped and took the time to peer about my surroundings. It wasn't as if I hadn't been in the town square before--no, it was that, with this mission in mind, I could look at it in a new light. The recent catastrophe changed the very landscape of the world, so it was nothing short of amazing that we were all here. Of course, that meant there was a lot of work to be done; the buildings were in ruin, crumbling and toppled over on top of one another. Many people, normal civilians, were working hard to rebuild their homes, stores, and everything else.

Chuckling a bit, I slapped my right hand onto my left shoulder, flexing my left arm a bit. "This'll be a piece of cake." I'd already gone through the game plan in my head, even as I'd read the mission back at the Hokage's Tower. Not that it was terribly complicated--my immense strength was the key to it all. Lifting would be easy, the complicated parts would come later. Hell, I'd probably leave those parts to others; I'd just lift everything back into place. With a firm nod toward Yuuto and a determination in my eyes, I suddenly took off toward a random corner of the town square. There was a decent sized building, and only one civilian was working on it, alone.

"Need some help?" I asked, grinning as a pale-blue glow overtook my arms. It was small at first, deep within myself, and expanded to overtake the entirety of the limbs within moments. Suddenly, my newfound energy allowed me to bend down and pick up a massive piece of rubble. It was roughly eight times my own size--without my chakra-imbued strength, I wouldn't have been able to even budge it. Now, though, I lifted it over my head like nothing. "What do I do with this . . ." My ashen gaze flashed across the building, which was really nothing but a ruined foundation now. Debris and broken wood, cement, and stone littered the ground around it, and one of the walls of the foundation was taken out entirely.

"Th-that's the north wall . . ." Said the man, and I looked at him blankly for a moment before understanding.

"Oh!" I said, taking a single leap, with chakra-imbued strength, over the whole building, all the rubble, and to the far wall of the building. "Here?"

Description: Gathering chakra in the legs, the user releases their chakra as strength in the moment they leap. This causes them to rocket in whatever direction they chose to jump, be it forward, backward, up or otherwise. Can have varying effects on the platform used to push off, due to the force used.

Kii eventually appeared. It seemed as if he was ready hell more ready than Yuuto was. It was an inspiring thing to see someone so full of life. Yuuto wanted to smile but he also wanted to keep his "cool" demeanor afloat. He was trying to prepare himself to explain the game plan with Kii but it seemed as though his mission mate just wanted to get into things. Yuuto could not deny him this right so as Kii nodded Yuuto murmured "Good luck Kii." He had hoped they would end this soon and collect their reward. With that being said and decided the young Aburame then walked off in the opposite direction to help other people.

Before he completetly left he stopped and turned to watch Kii run to what seemed to be a chosen corner of the town. Yuuto watched and then stuck his hand out. "I better do this just in case. You never know what could happen.... He might get hurt and might need me to help him out." Something began wriggling within Yuuto's body and anyone with a good chakra sense could tell that Yuuto's chakra's were acting funny. As if it was by nature itself something tiny and black began to push itself out of Yuuto's body namely his hand.

These little black things poured out of his hand swarm by swarm and began to flutter into the sky. Yuuto smiled at the control he had over over his Kikai. The insects fluttered in the sky and a few went after Kii just to keep watch. While that was going on Yuuto and the rest of the small swarm would go to other buildings.

As Yuuto walked people stared. Not only did this kid have blue hair but he also had a small cloud of black bugs over his head. Although villagers knew what that meant .... Aburame. Even so they were still kind of creeped out. Yuuto found a small shack with a few people outside all who seemed like they needed help. "Hello can I help you in any way." They stared at the bugs for a second until they finally spoke up. Why yes young man can you possibly help us move these planks of broken wood out of our home? Yuuto nodded and began to use a jutsu known only to his clan. The bugs began to clump together and soon he had 3 small clumps of bugs. He ordered them mentally to push themselves under the smaller planks and move them while he worked on the bigger ones.

This work was not as strenuous as Yuuto thought. Although using his bugs in such a manner would probably drain their chakra and boy oh boy would they feast tonight. Yuuto only dreaded at how he would feel when his bugs came back into him because they would most definitely eat on his chakra and replenish him later when they felt better. It was an odd symbiosis between him and the destruction bugs but all in all it was normal for the Aburame. Yuuto would have to get used to it one day.

Description: With this ninjutsu, the user will bring together their kikai into cloud-shaped clumps, the size of these ‘islands’ depending on the size of the user. These clumps are dense enough for the user or another ninja to rest on. During quick, dangerous attacks, this can allow the user to rise above any threat from below.
Domain: Aburame. Must know 'Kikkaichuu D'.

"A-ah, well, for now, just set it aside. I just need to get rid of all the debris around here first," said the man, looking down at all the rubble around him. "Oh, and . . . thank you,"

I just grinned wide and nodded, then set the wall down in the grass behind the house. I'd put all the rubble on top of it, that way, I could carry everything using the wall as a sort of 'plate.' Then, I simply got back to work; most of the rubble was small and broken down into pieces. I took them in my hands and tossed them behind me, on top of the wall; hell, I didn't even need my chakra strength that much. There were a few larger pieces, here and there--most of them I could lift, but I used my strength to throw them. It was faster that way. Not long into my dig, I noticed a few bugs hovering around me. I shrugged them off, shooing them away with my hands. After all, this was the town center and nearly everyone here was working hard, rebuilding the village. People were sweaty, bugs weren't a surprise. When they continued to come back, though, I figured something was up.

Then I noticed Yuuto in the distance, working on another building, and there was my answer. A swarm of bugs hovered around him, moving objects for him and moving as he commanded. Ahh, so the kid's an Aburame? I thought, grinning and thankful for his watchful eye.

With a sigh I stood tall, straightening my back and wiping a bead of sweat from my forehead. It was midday; the sun was high in the deep, blue sky. Not too many clouds were out, only a few splotches of white dotted the blue canvas above, and none of them threatened to bring rain. So, with the sun bearing down on us, ever watchful, its heat was free to wash over everything. Although I wasn't very tired, it was pretty damn hot.

Still, I wasn't one to complain. So I simply got back to work. It was more effective for me to fetch the larger pieces that, without my strength, would be otherwise immovable. There weren't a ton, the wall I'd retrieved earlier was easily the largest. There were a few that would be dangerous for me to launch through the air, as I'd been doing before, so I was forced to pick them up and walk them over to my pile.

Wonder how long the whole village will take to return back to normal . . .

Yuuto worked yet not as hard as the other villagers. This kind of made him feel like he was cheating in a way. There was nothing wrong with using his abilities right? Although they drew too much attention to him. He hated attention and he wanted to rid himself of it. With a forceful sigh Yuuto moved the last plank and began to call back his bugs. They instinctively came to him forcing their way back through his pores. It was painful in a way but it was almost second hand nature.

As the bugs receded into Yuuto he watched from where the other bugs came from. They were going to be within Kii's vicinity and that's where he needed to look. As he scouted the area he still couldn't see Kii clearly enough as there was simply too much going on. Maybe if I use my jutsu I can find him easier.

Yuuto clasped his hands together and began building chakra up. He was focusing it, coursing it all through his body and trying to make it spread. When the chakra seemed right he released it and let his energy wander and his eyes close. When it did he felt as though he could feel the whole world. Sensing chakras, it was something Yuuto wanted to do. becoming a sensor ninja would take time and practice but he was up to the challenge.

As he felt for the chakras he felt a wild one full of a forceful energy. It was Kii most definitely. Yuuto was positive as Kii just seemed like the strong crazy type. It's gotta be that guy! Yuuto began running but then he realized something.... Kii was right across the street. I am such an idiot. With a sulking face he walked over.

"Hey Kii need any help here? The suns going down soon right? Im sure if we work together we can knock out places quicker.... Im talking too much what do you want to do?" Half of Yuuto was planning while the other half was trying to make this work lessen. It was sad they had to rebuild so much but Konoha was strong and their will would never die. with that confirmation Yuuto could smile.

Description: Kagura Shingan is an advanced Sensory Ninjutsu technique used by all sensors, and serves as the root to the entire sensory tree. After a series of handseals, the sensor closes their eyes and uses their inate ability to detect chakra in order to determine the location of their opponent by the faintest of chakra trails, as well as discerning the size of an approaching unseen force, and even their chakra capacity.

I'd noticed Yuuto making his way over here, though I continued to work until he was actually within speaking distance. Even as he spoke, I took small pieces of debris and tossed them onto the large pile behind me, until he finished. Dusting my hands off, I thought, Talking too much? Then I chuckled a little bit.

"You're a strange kid," I said, grinning and bending down to grab another piece of rubble. "Well, the way I see it is this: our mission had no definite end. All we're supposed to do is 'help rebuild the city.' I was still shuffling through the broken pieces of buildings and moving them to where I needed them as I spoke. "Sure, we're moving debris. Technically, we've completed our mission. Have we really helped out enough, though? Personally, I don't know much about building, but I don't think I'll be satisfied with just moving a little rubble," I explained my thoughts on our . . . rather vague mission. This wasn't just about doing a mission and getting a reward--for me to think so small would get me no where. This was about building the village; making it a better place to live. So, yeah, we were helping by moving this stuff, that just wasn't enough for me. "Even if the sun's coming down soon, I want to make some real progress. So, I might be out here for a while, With a chuckle I realized I'd been talking a bit more than I wanted to. "Look, now I'm talking too much, and getting off topic. Anyways, what you do is up to you; if you wanna help, that's great."

By now, the area was all but free of debris and rubble, all of which was sitting in a pile on top of the knocked-out wall. For a moment I looked around, dusting myself off as I did. It didn't seem there was much left, so with a grin, I turned to the man I'd been helping.

"Looks like cleanups all done! I chuckled happily. ". . . I don't really know much about building things, though. Especially when it's ruined buildings like this. What do you need me to do?"

"For now, we should wait. I hear some Mokuton users will be coming around sometime; why don't you go help moving more rubble with the others, if you still want to help?"

With a nod toward the man, I look to Yuuto for a moment. "I'm going to go help more people. It's up to you if you go and complete the mission now, or stay," With those words, I took off running across the town center. A holler from behind me stopped me, however, from the man I'd been helping.

"Thank you, again!"

I turned and grinned, nodding firmly in response, before turning and making my way back over to another ruined building. "Need some help?"

Kii spoke so fluently it was almost as if he was a teacher. Yuuto only listened and soaked in what heat he said. It was not easy feeling insecure about yourself nor your abilities. As Yuuto he began to realize he was not working and Kii still was. Only feeling it right he grabbed a wooden plank and moved it with all his might. Kii was much stronger than he was and the things he was doing were on par to amazing strength. In all of Yuuto's days he never imagined that someone would have this kind of strength. With a sigh he felt a little unworthy to help anymore but he continued.

As Kii finished talking and working he left Yuuto with the option to either stay and help out some more or go and leave. He was tasked on an independant mission. Did he have to stay? Was it necessary? Feeling he could help no further Yuuto turned and left. Mokuton users are on the way what can me and my little bugs do?He walked out not feeling defeated but feeling as if this task was not his to continue. He had done his part and soon he would be rewarded but before that he would go to the forest to sleep for a while as his bugs drained him a little.

This building was even larger than the last. There were three people already moving the debris, but I could tell they were struggling now after having working all day. Not only that, but this area was covered with much larger pieces of debris than the last. They struggled to lift much of the rubble between the three of them, so I was glad I came here when I did. It seemed as if they had wanted to turn down my offer to help, probably because they didn't want to trouble me, but the moment I lifted a piece of the ruin the three of them had been struggling to lift together, they smiled and nodded. It was part of a wall, I could tell that, but otherwise there was little I could do to make out its origins. Considering the size this building must have been, there was a plethora of possibilities. Again, I made a pile off to the side of the ruin where I'd set all the rubble I collected. As I did, I noticed Yuuto leaving from the corner of my eye and grinned a little.

I figured he was probably pretty tired, considering all the work we'd done and the time of day. So I was glad he didn't force himself to work more than he needed to, otherwise it wouldn't have been healthy. As a medic-nin, I knew this well. From what I understood of how the Aburame clan worked, the kikai would need to feed off of his chakra as well, so rest was even more important for him. It wasn't as if he was just regenerating his own chakra, but it was being eaten away at as he rested. This thought brought up new questions for me--how did the Aburame perform on the same level as everyone else, utilizing chakra without hindrance, if they were constantly being fed off of? Or did it only happen during resting periods? Even then, how were they able to regenerate charka? After a few moments of dwelling on it as I lifted broken pieces of building and tossed them into the pile, I decided it was most likely that, through constant exposure to the feeding of the kikai, they might have developed much higher chakra reserves. That wasn't to say I was completely sure, but that was the answer I'd come up with--the one I was most confident in--and I wouldn't get any other answers just thinking about it.

With that, I filled my arms with the pale blue glow of my chakra and bent down, lifting the largest piece I'd lifted all day. Honestly, even with my chakra-imbued strength, I struggled with it; it was a thick piece, and honestly, if it had been hollowed out it would probably make a fine sized room. What it had been used for, I had no idea, but it didn't really matter at the time. With a grunt, I pulled up on it, and I felt it lift off the ground. My weight shifted forward, pulled down by the mass of the object, but I widened my stance and heaved upwards after a deep breath. With a sigh, I held it up over my head for a moment before stepping back toward my pile. It fell down to the ground with a loud thump, and a thick layer of dust and dirt was expunged into the air around me. I coughed a bit as I waved in front of my face, dismissing the disturbing particles as I continued to work. By now, I was covered in a layer of dirt and grime. It was a testament to my still unfinished work.

My sense of time was distorted through the labor, though I could see now that the sun was on the edge, nearly fully submerged by the horizon. The pastel sky, too, was fading with it, only just illuminated by the dying rays of deep orange and gold, and I knew that the civilians rebuilding here would be exhausted by now.

"Why don't you all go get some rest? I'll finish this up." I said, grinning and clenching a fist in front of my face, as if it embodied my determination. They hesitated, as I knew they would, so I gave them some reassurance. "It's alright, I'm sure you're exhausted." After a silent moment, they nodded and thanked me before heading off. With a confident grin and a little chuckle, I turned to look over what work I had left. Unfortunately, I had a long night ahead of me; I'd come in late in the day, and even so, after their work all day, there was still about half of the ruin to clean up. ". . . Better get started."

Damn . . . I thought, wiping my brow of sweat as I strained my eyes to pierce the darkness. Who knew what time it was now--probably close to two in the morning, and I stood there with heavy breaths. Though my ashen gaze had adjusted rather well to the obsidian veil of night, I still struggled to see very far. It appeared, however, that I was finally done. There was no rubble covering the area anymore, only the broken structure that remained in tact and cemented to the ground. A large pile sat in the distance where I'd stored all of the ruin. When I thought about it, it was a bit sad that I was breathing heavy from this, but damn some of these pieces were huge. I'd used up more chakra than I imagined trying to lift them all. I still had a good amount left, but it was draining as hell.

With a sigh I turned away from the destruction and turned to look at the town square. My goal was to organize all of the ruins in this area, and I was nearly done. Despite my drained state and the time of day, I still had one building left to clean up. It was mediocre in size, compared to my last endeavor, but it looked to me like an entire village. Taking a deep breath, I made my way toward it and began to work. Using my chakra in order to lift and toss smaller pieces couldn't be done anymore. I'd have to save my energy, and walk everything to the pile I was creating with my average strength. Unfortunately, that wasn't quite as strong as I'd prefer it to be, but there was no helping it. It seemed as if this building had been absolutely pulverized. There weren't many large pieces of debris which I had to utilize my Chakra no Iko for.

It continued on like that for a hell of a long time. It was a monotonous and tiresome process, but one I was determined to complete. Still, I hadn't expected it to take quite as long as it had. I bet Yuuto already turned the mission in, I thought. Wonder what they'll say when I stumble in. With a chuckle I looked up to realize that a single ray of pale yellow sunlight was creeping over the mountainous backdrop. It moved slowly at first, inching its way across the rocky surface and down into the trees. It illuminated only a single spot of the horizon, in a line, like a spotlight searching for its star. Instinctively my hand moved to my forehead, shading my eyes as the fiery ball burst over the mountains to shine down upon Konohagakure.

With a grin and a sigh, I wiped a bit of the dirt and filth caked onto my skin and tossed the last piece of debris into the pile. A light breeze drifted by, carrying the sun's gentle warmth over me as I stumbled lazily away from the town center.
